I was just confused contract-wise; many of us wondered who we were competing with to give this guy 3.25 million a year, but that's looking like a major steal now!

His scouting report was eerily similar to Robert Woods. "polished route runner" "NFL ready" "good hands" etc. Similarly like Woods, he doesn't seem to excel at anything that will make him a primary passing option, but a good #2 once a better QB is in place.

Lots of coaches and players have called Dennison's system "player-friendly," and hopefully all of these features were masked during the pre-season, like how it was mentioned Tyrod was 'forced' into the pocket and not doing many rollouts or bootlegs. Lots of us here have been and have a good reason to be on the pessimistic side of things. I'll be hopeful all the hot takes on Castillo were nothing but a classic overreaction.

I expect a long and grueling year, but if our defense does its job and Shady carries his weight (and then some), and schedules possibly softening due to key injuries for other opponents (and not us), we could still be in the "in the hunt" graphic come December...
