  1. Since the Jets game will likely have an ugly score of 10-7 or something (either way), we're probably going to need to wait until week 2 to see if Shady can carry the offense on his back.
  2. Ravens fans couldn't wait to get rid of Castillo and Ducasse, and I bet they're grinning ear-to-ear tonight for how correct they seem to be.
  3. I don't think this is true at all. He wanted to be DC (just like now in Philly) and run things the way he saw fit. Hiring another coach that would have happily kept him and let him have free reign (and most importantly, continuity) would have been the best thing to happen to this team in the drought. Those retrospective Hue Jackson reports of him getting close to having the job and wanting to keep Schwartz are completely depressing :/
  4. I'd be inclined to think that Green Bay is very, very content to have him as their backup right now, and to trade for him would require something badly imbalanced on the other party's end.
  5. As grateful as I am we got a free first down, that was a dumb call - I think I heard Tasker say the same thing lol
  6. And to think, Gene Steratore's staff has been among my favorites... Go ****ing figure
  7. For what I've seen, it does make sense, but what confuses is me is how McD said this offense was going to focus on Taylor's "movement" and how Tyrod himself said Dennison's offense is "player friendly" I get masking your best plays for the regular season, but seeing at least one rollout or bootleg would be nice... Surely this coaching staff isn't THAT stupid...right?
  8. Why were we in such a rush to let go of Kujo again? Something something culture process
  9. Yeah, I wasn't comparing their on field production as much as their tenure with us and being those "lunchpail" fan favorites. But with that being said, Wood's worst years were with Marrone and the horrid guards around him, with a guy like Richie (or even Levitre) he's been much better - no coincidence
  10. I always like it when a player can play his full career with one team; he and Kyle have dealt with the same number of ridiculous coaching and management changes over the years, unfortunately. Let's wait and see what the cost is, and if not by this year, next year we'll have to figure out what will happen with Incognito, Groy, and the mystery at RG.
  11. You're coming off as the type of guy that will scrutinize a player's IG/Twitter when they're out having fun or with family in the offseason, and question his commitment for not focusing on football 24/7.
  12. I'm waiting/hoping for someone in the media to ask coach this painfully obvious question.
  13. Adams is another member from the beloved/hated 2014 WR class - and another free-agent-to-be like Matthews. Senseless.
  14. Their DST also scored an absurdly high number of times, and with Tyreek Hill as the #1 WR and getting less opportunities to return, that should only help them regress to lower numbers. Plus, the AFC West has been hyper competitive for years now. I'll be cautiously optimistic, too.
  15. So if he signs and proceeds to drop another game-winning pass, will this board's tankmasters be happier?
  16. That's what we're all hoping for; therefore - with our luck - it won't happen?
  17. Yes, Cox is very skilled at penetration in an aggressive manner.
  18. Go ****ing figure Rex's staff has a great offense and screws up the defense, whereas this staff in year one has the trajectory to be doing the complete opposite. Ravens fans were happy to see Castillo gone and his stubborn desire to keep working with Ducasse is a painfully obvious failure. Pardon my buzzed hot take. I just can't view preseason as a grain of salt.
  19. Aww man...no Solomon Wilcotts to analyze the "Buffalo BEEELZ"? Also, more seriously, I do like the lineups that we've been given. I like the new guy Spero better than the monotonous Ian Eagle, for example.
  20. Looking at it from the Rams' POV though, they already have invested lots of money in Robert Woods and Tavon Austin, and are in a bind with Aaron Donald right now, who deserves to be among the league's highest paid defenders. Goff has performed poorly; if wonder-kid McVay can't make him look competent (much easier with such a new shiny toy to play with), there may be a potential recipe for disaster in LA. Hasn't Sammy struck lots of us as a guy that really wants (and deserves) several targets and/or talented QB play to maximize his abilities? This is an awkward fit, though he will be tagged at the very least next year. Rams can't give up a top 50 pick just for a one year rental.
  21. Is Jeff going to return for an I-told-you-so brigade?
