  1. Today I learned the veteran minimum can be classified as 'overpayment'
  2. Since he still has 2 years on his deal, I think we'll keep him for both years at the very least - especially for next offseason when we can spend more liberally in FA to address OL/WR. I love how much of a team player he has become, how he's embraced our community and fanbase, and expressed his desire for a championship here. I'm thinking if Allen proves himself as franchise QB material sooner than later, an upward trajectory of this team would make him willing to sign an extension with us, but if we're going to be in a transitional phase, he'll walk as FA and there will be lots of gratitude on both ends for his time here.
  3. I don't like how one of the candidates every year is going to be "forced" to do this - if all 32 teams would want privacy, I respect that and would tell HBO to **** off and cancel the series.
  4. Poor little Tommy lost a super bowl and couldn't even shake Foles' hand. And I remember back in 2007 vs NYG, Bill walked off the field after the game was decided but there still was time to go. Had the results been different, they'd obviously go through the motions of sportsmanship.
  5. Jim got knocked out of the SB that game, Frank came in convinced that they were going to come back fairy-tale style, and he flopped.
  6. Another reason they could have passed on Chubb was for financial reasons down the road - QB and pass rusher are the ones that make the biggest of the big bucks. Myles Garrett is the real deal, and if the Browns hit on both Baker and Chubb, that would be three $100M+ contracts which would thin out the rest of the roster by then. Of course they hope Ward is good enough to earn a lucrative deal, too, but he'll probably have less of a cap hit down the road compared to any pass rusher.
  7. For OPs sake, can this thread be deleted and we act as if it had never, ever been posted?
  8. "Josh, you're from a ****ing barn so why can't you hit the backside of a barn?" Probably need a couple more expletives to make it more authentic
  9. So if we win it all this year, he won't be allowed to pop champagne with us? Edit: sorry for the regurgitation of the above message XD
  10. Never wanting to Rex leave the building and sitting in the film room with Whaley as they jerk off to Watkins sums up my sentiments about him Also, who could ever forget trading a pro bowl LT under age 25 for the first time ever?
  11. I disagree. Moving back 3 spots to get THREE seconds? How could it have been any better? They were guaranteed to get which ever of Saquon, Chubb, or Nelson fell to them. If anything, that trade set the bar and is what made us pay a premium of moving up from 12 to 7.
  12. Picks number 7 and 16 are 716 bound, too.
  13. But Kirk didn't "fall" very fall at all to what range Beane said he was looking to trade up, it doesn't make sense to me
  14. LOL what? Yeah, that was such a "perfect" comparison I'm very skepticial the Allen pick, and am most certainly rooting to be wrong, and most importantly won't act as if I'm a psychic as to whether or not he'll be successful.
  15. That can't be true - pessimistic hot take gut reactions override all else
  16. Dang, I didn't know so many of us have seen film on Ray-Ray McCloud of all people. It's a shame we can safely conclude if a player won't be good within minutes of him being drafted, too.
  17. Maybe he made his account whenever twitter began around elementary school for him
  18. The way this was titled, I was thinking it was an indirect quote of his....that may have made me want to order his jersey ASAP
