its the way our society is built now. its NY. so its not JUST a mentally ill person. its a BLACK mentally ill person. meaning if your white you definatly better just sit there and hope he doesn't pull a weopon and kill that woman. you act and you just committed a hate crime on someone with a disability who knows not what he is doing. even if your not white or security you are putting yourself at risk AFTER putting yourself at risk. a few media outlets decide to edit out any action before you intervene now the story of a poor mentally ill man is told and then a clip of you attacking him. while they ignore the woman or witness testimony. prepare for at the least a lawsuit and at most the president commenting on the version he chooses. time and time and time again this has happened. the public that jumps on board and villianize to destroys someone so quickly is nowhere to be found when a full video is uncovered and actual evidence is presented. even if it is 100% proven false there are STILL people that simply can't believe that they were lied to so they continue on. its is insanity! this is all intentional heading us off a cliff. never thought in a world with information at everyones fingertips it would be so simplistic to propagate flat out lies that stick with such a large portion of the public. this means you are literally damned if you do damned if you don't. everyone is a god with the power of hindsight. that man plunges a knife in that poor girl and its easily shifted to how could you just sit there and watch this happen!!!! i would of.. they should of.. what a incredable power to know the intentions and outcomes of everything. armchair quarterbacking everything afterwards from the comfort of home giving our "leaders" to act on the whims of a mob that will move on the second the news cycle changes.

had to ride the metro every single day to high school into down town buffalo then catch another one on elmwood street. got in a few fights just minding my own buisness and saw many other crazy situations as a mental clinic was also on that route. kids have to go through this s#it just to get a education in the city. meanwhile my liberal woke friends who went to suburban schools enjoyed a nice safe little yellow, what we city kids used to call "cheese" picking them up and dropping them off right on their corner. the sad part about that video is that every person in that car including the woman terrified into tears most likely wouldn't even consider voting anything other then democrat. its amazing how dysfunctional things can get and people wont even consider making a major political change. no wonder the governors have become authoritarian. what the hell is the public going to do about it?

What is better, no guns, or more guns?
Buffarukus replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
your talking about how unrealistic it is but the point would be to give people a fighting chance. that is always going to be better then not having one at all until law enforcement arrives or sadlyin texas, boarder patrol. not sure what the issue is or why anyone would not support it besides the fact the people who decided to be armed would immediatly be the ones blamed and demonized if they did not "wyatt earp" because they locked up and were scared. noone knows exactly how they would act. i agree with psychological issues have to be a huge component in gun law. its going to be a very tough line to draw as A) penalizing people for seeking treatment is going to deter alot of help and B) what particular line is reasonable. the fact DAs seem to be laxing on crime in general is not helping anyone. felonies reduced to not be flagged on a background search. illegal carry being almost as common and pretty much normalized is pretty strange seeing as these are the places that have/want stricter gun laws on people that abide by the law. we are going in the wrong direction. ill never get that yes i realize both shooter legally bought guns but the 1000's of others that for whatever reason never get the spotlight. we have a cocktail brewing of anti/ demonized police and in the case of texas also the boarder patrol. a call to demilitarize police should be looked at as these situations require swat type gear but people have demanded it be removed regardless of circumstances. DAs that have become lenient. a economy that is putting alot of pressure and desperation on people that were already struggling. people that are repeatedly being brought to the attention of officials as high up as the federal level and "slipping through the cracks" of multi billion dollar org that are specifically there to prevent these things and a population that is buying more guns then ever because of all of this. im sorry to say it doesnt look like this is going to get better anytime soon. the IMMEDIATE answer is to advocate for the ability to defend oneself and those around them and make it very clear by officials that doing so will not result in punishment of its own which has also been a issue for decades for some absurd reason. -

Racially motivated murder at Tops
Buffarukus replied to Thurmal34's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
one his dumb @ss father gave him a gun and LET HIM KEEP IT after he was brought in for questioning!? about shooting up his school!? why wasnt he on a list of potential dangers at this point that at least postponed any gun sale in the US!? slippery slope, whatever, too many mass shooting in schools where kids can make threats like this and its not charged? no charge no issue on a background. neglectful parents and poor phyc evaluations that seem to get things completely wrong is the two main factors that repeatedly show up when it comes to these people and tragedies. again and again and again. how about instead of giving dhs a major price hike every year since they dont seem to stop much. we send just a billion of their budget to phycologist that can actually identify a mentally ill person when the red flag is raised in the first place. -

i dont agree. like i said on the state level that absolutely a issue but federally, i dont think so. i think the federal gov is now into doing two things divide and conquer. you cant be completely inept at your job or people will start demanding its pointless. you cant be to good at it or people will be pissed about asking for new powers or the increase in budget for no reason. have to let some things slide and if possable it would be nice if they were ones that went down a nice divisive line so people start dumb ass threads in which to blame each other instead of the institutions directly responsible for neutralizing these threats. hey if your lucky you may get enough support to have the fools advocate disarming themselves for you. wouldn't that be nice. of coarse some things legitimately slip through but they have proven to many times of "having information" on threats and did absolutely nothing. but who am i kidding. we have become so polarized no one even looks at them as neglecting their responsability anymore. the cdc, in touch with top scientists all over the world. yeah alot of good scientific advice we got out of them for the billions in taxes we pay. the dhs didnt even exist until 9/11. young people dont know that. have you noticed less domestic threats? cause its been escalating a ton from before they existed. but lets increase the budget... for next time. the divide part is over and we are to stupid to notice. -

where do you live? there are stringent background checks and new york state has some of the strictest. not allowing access to crazy people has been pretty standard as long as they have something on record. funny how the left are the ones with progressive DAs that are not prosecuting laws or reducing them where that can put people on that kind of restricted list. but yeah whatever, blame qanon, commie conspiracies, video games, violent movies, music. race. whatever floats your boat. regardless, if your a danger you garner attention. most the time they do. i would like a explanation of people who are not only flagged by dhs and fbi as a danger but why the ones that "fall off" the list right before they commit these acts are happening so frequently. -

Buffarukus replied to Thurmal34's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
hmm strange takeaway from the post. how about this simplification? crazy people live in our society. repeatedly after something like this happens we hear how there were tons of glaring red flags showing this person was indeed crazy and should have been closely monitored. so we can try to do something new where things like kids threatening to shoot up schools or say posting racist videos online for all to see talking about black supremacy and killing white and asian folks are taken MUCH more seriously. or we continue to figure out afterwards what side of the isle the crazy person latched on to and use THAT as a justification for why they were crazy. the latter has been going on for awhile now, interestingly without results. but continue on. -

recent tragedies say, shut up. NY subway shooter..still alive suv driver in Wisconsin..still alive school shooter in texas..still alive, and was also allowed to bond out of prison. but keep the bs narratives going so people stay divided. if you took a look at what these psychopaths were reading before they killed innocent people it looked exactly like your dumb ass post that propetuates these things further. -

Rand Paul Blocks Aid To Ukraine
Buffarukus replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
jesus! our government has such low expectations. so "adding" legislation to billions of dollars of aid to make sure it is spent properly would take too long? wouldn't want our elected officials to work hard, fast to do something properly. you'd think that would kind of be built into every aid package. that's what people with a functioning gov would expect. not only do some of us not expect it, we get mad and start threads about anyone points it out? -
BREAKING: SCOTUS to overturn Roe?
Buffarukus replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
your percentages almost show why this may not be the god given right the left claims. there is a varying opinion on what should be a reasonable cut off date. your arguing about the percentages of people who think it should be legal but also showing the vast amount of OPINIONS that people have about when life starts. that alone should give people pause for a second to think about the gravity of the subject. what your showing is there are a array of people that think it is murder after a certain time or certain circumstances. i think that means we as a nation have needed to have some very difficult conversations about creating a very logical science based cutoff point. this is not simplistic as for or against. there are philosophical ways to poke holes in even logical outlooks. life doesnt begin until the 2nd tri? so if someone attacks a pregnant woman before that stage can he be charged with murder because she planned on giving birth? so are intentions introduced in deciding whether she has life in her? having the supreme court rule it has kinda swept the subject under the rug. i guess its time to really hold our elected officials accountable to have this discussion. the votes can change this if the percentages work out the way you say which is kinda the point right. if it is outlawed why isnt that under the same circumstance as other debated topics that threaten both women and men that is up to the state? defunding police, concealed carry laws ect ect. alot of health and saftey issues affecting young women in states in general yet this one is the one that MUST be ruled by supreme court and getting everyone angry? as for the GOP hiding behind the supreme court. this is both sides and abortion has very much been a political football. please watch this from a very progressive krystal ball that explains how what we are doing in this thread is exactly the point and dems play their role well. at the end you point out the hipocracy of the right when it comes to funding the very children they wish to protect. at the same time the left is saying that not only can we do it but its our god given right so keep your nose out..and help pay for it. if you think its murder, you better help pay for the childs health care? is there a option where people who don't agree with it not forced to help? both sides just instantly flip when it comes to women making personal medical decisions right down party lines. a second ago the left demanded med info and procedures under threat of losing their livelihoods without a care from the left and the same villianizing. not trying to argue as i think we mostly agree on this topic when all things boil down but i havent changed my stance on womens privacy, have you? just some things to think about. -
where did you watch it? buddy sent me a link. but i don't click those.

not really sure why there is blame to the extent on either side. united states is basically little tribes of democracy. hell we have states that outright refuse legislation from the federal level and yet state governments still blame there issues on it. you wanna see the success or failure of your ideology then simply look at the state that has the most laws that align with your view. pretty crazy that most dont want to believe the results they wish to prescribe on all others even when they are obviously destructive. covid was a excellent lesson in this and shows how many simply refuse to say i was lied to, i was wrong and i should shut my mouth and pay more attention to who and where i get "trusted" information.

Is Roe v Wade Finally At Deaths Door?
Buffarukus replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
im sure this has been discussed so excuse my questions if they are redundant. why hasnt congress voted on abortion as the dems have had super majority in the past? i saw this and it raises good points. second why is abortion considered a human right that states cannot legislate themselves? what makes this any different then the different laws for health and saftey that states are responsible for? i dont like aspects of bail reform measures in NY as i feel it puts dangerous people on the street. that infringes on my and my love ones saftey. others may not like gun laws ect ect. the choice is to vote or move. is this much different? my personal opinion is the two extremes of outright banning or get one whenever are both probably supported by fringe of Americans. -
in a state that in no way would lose any abortion rights attacking people that have nothing to do with a decision. makes total sense. are stores that sell condoms and birth control next? they been stopping abortions for years. 🤔

Is Roe v Wade Finally At Deaths Door?
Buffarukus replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
it seems to go both ways as with all things political. the left seems ok with ending life before it begins but fighting to defend it when that life was used to destroy others (death penalty). of coarse we get the exact flip of the coin on the right. saving a mothers life aside which is not really in debate anyways. which seems more worthy to defend? a unborn child or a convicted felon? just strange how even hypocracy on how "precious" life is can be changed quickly when looked through a political lens. im personally ok with both. women can choose but so can a court if someone uses their life to cause nothing but pain and destruction on others...both should be concidered extreme and serious. -
good find. your right that cultist is insane! what is she even talking about? could you imagine if instead of just being ramblings of a random person the entire republican party decided that this nonsense was true? no factual basis required. just one day decided jackie O was alive and everyone better start looking or else. that be really idiotic. who would support that insanity? oh, by the way, could you please tweet back ron that "women" do not exist and are nothing more then a social construct. gender is fluid. his ignorant labeling creates trauma. if he doesnt use the government appoved (birthing person) in his tweets i will have no choice but to protest his employer. i cant stand bigots like him!! also around last week our president decided the first amendment no longer covers misinformation he is helping spread. dhs has been notified. i can't stand radicals like him! tib, you just spread it too! i guess ill let you off with a warning cause you seem like a decent non birthing entity. what were we talking about again? oh yeah those insane trumpers and the cult they are in. 🤪

Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor
Buffarukus replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
head scratcher simply because i think they really like his effort and locker room leadership but i dont think you pick a guy that has no shot to compete for a start this early. hes slated to be in a role you just extended a very good starter? so a STmer that may replace milano way down the road or maybe milano at mlb if Edmunds leaves? we have had issues with titans, ne, Indianapolis, big physical run teams, just as much as a fast twitch kc team. a cb that has tackling issues and a undersized lb has me worried we may be leaning to far in the speed direction. glad the dl looks to be much better so maybe thats the reason. or maybe they have a exotic nickel type package or two so the kid has at least a chance to get on the field. -
ehh i been hearing section 230 alot and its pretty convienent to have that seriously brought up only now, trump did have his chance as well mind you but i think as for platform rules the free market will decide if elons changes are a success for most changes implemented. seeing as offering free speach will be "unique" for a established platform. sorry but i don't want this administration touching something along the lines of what's "misinformation" in a law. im sure both sides would love to convien to bring society back to the days of 3 tv stations of certified gov approved info as controlling the narrative has spiraled out of their control...more so one side. but i would support common sense changes like doxxing having harsh penalties and death threats and such. as of now these things seem to not even be taken seriously and people do them pretty freely without any regard to a punishment.
-
it would just be nice to see a platform adhere to a straight forward set of common sense rules and implement them evenly. i hope this isnt about "allowing" a type of extremism, what your calling far right but instead ALSO removing the other side of extremism that has become normalized simply by the platform and corp media ignoring.
