    After reading through this thread the answers I liked the best were “No”...a backup player does not deserve the fifth year option whether we have the cap space or not imo.

    Metcalf just hasn’t shown me enough to give me confidence in his ability to be an nfl receiver... now, that’s not to say that he can’t- he very well may be able to...but I don’t like taking chances on guys that have not played the position before at a consistent level...throw in the injury history and it’s just too risky for my blood at #9.

    I’d rather get a guy in the 2nd round that has more reliable hands ...and trust me, there will be plenty of really good talent...

    I think most fans were pretty upset that day...the Jets pulled off the trade the Bills were supposed to make....hopefully Allen will be just as good- if not better.

    I guess that’s what happens when you’ve had a franchise QB for 15 years- you think you will always have one....and if not, you think they are easy to find...

    People need to ask themselves, if we already had 2 top flight TE’s on the roster, would they still take Hockenson at #9... I say this because I don’t think Beane will reach on a TE just because it is a position of need...he is a good prospect- no doubt, but there seems that there will be better talent at that pick.

    I could be wrong but I would think we now have a better guard option available than Teller...in fact, if possible he might be back on the practice squad imo.

    That’s fine with me...I could take it or leave it with Ziggy...if he is wanting too much on a multi year deal, forget it... I wouldn’t mind 1 or 2 year prove it deal though

    To add to the OP...I don’t think I can remember a time before today when guys said they came here because of the QB...that is pretty impressive for JA.
