  1. The Bills and Chiefs are the class of the conference and there isn't anyone close to them right now, but it's a long season - even longer now. The Browns have shown the ability to play big games. The Chargers have been drastically under-performing and so have the Broncos. The Raiders have lost every game by 6 or less and have a complete team that just needs to come together. Carr will always be their weak link though. The Bengals probably have too many holes to repeat, and the Titans look like a shadow of their former selves. The Fins are pretenders, and the Ravens are built to win in the playoffs unless they make drastic changes to their offense. As happy as it makes me as a Mark Andrews owner in fantasy, WR's are not a part of their scheme.
  2. Romo is the best I've ever heard as a color guy in any sport and it's not close. He has a way of talking about the action that brings tremendous insight to people that already know the game as well as casual fans who might not always know what they're seeing. John Madden had the latter, but being able to combine the two seamlessly while being entertaining is a an extremely rare gift.
  3. Season records don't mean anything anymore with a bonus game for all players. You're going to see every season record broken over the next few years.
  4. They're exactly the kind of team every fan base should want, imo. All-time great coach, all-time great QB, the best TE to ever step foot on a football field and they play at peak performance every year regardless of what happens.
  5. She can both be an important decision maker and "one of the most powerful women in sports" and also have literally 0 to do with the on the field performance. I don't understand why you or anyone else would care unless you're personally invested in how the new concession vendor negotiations are going or how much the accounting department has operationalized efficiency improvements YoY. She runs the business, which has nothing to do with the on the field product as long as the piggy bank still has enough money to clear the checks.
  6. Today is a different day than when I wrote this. Also they have the 2nd best record int he conference, so their actual seed matters a lot less than the fact there is only 1 team int he league with a better record than them 5 weeks in.
  7. We have Travis Kelce at home. His name is Dawson and you'll like it. I too would love to have the 1st-5th best TE to ever play the game.
  8. Grading by the mean is a very unreliable stat in football where the situation is far more important. If you run for 10 1-yard td runs, you're carrying a 1ypc average
  9. If they know you're rushing? I think that Guy's name is Derrick Henry. Other than that, I don't think people do that very much anymore. Josh Jacobs was having a great go of it yesterday with a career day and McDaniels chose a hail mary on 4th & 1 😅
  10. I mean duh... YPC is a vanity metric. In isolation over a 5 game span it tells you nothing besides how many yards per carry you're getting with a player. It doesn't tell yout he how or why, which is far more useful in being able to predict the stats of other players or the same players with different inputs. I'm not trading for McCaffery to get 1-2 more YPC. I'm trading for him hoping that I can increase the explosive plays that I generate from my offense. We already do well there overall, but we aren't very good at it from the RB position, especially early in games. If we could rely on a RB to spur our breakout instead of having to rely on Allen, it would be another dimension to our offense that also mitigates our risk when Allen isn't having a 5 star day.
  11. Why would Carolina want Singletary on a half season rental in exchange for CMC? It makes no sense for them, and it's a big cost to us. If they just need a warm body to carry the rock, they can have moss who is cheap and under contract for another year. I'd even rather give them Cook than Singletary at this point just due to experience. Singletary provides a lot of benefit to us over the short term but none past this season.
  12. This is the wrong conclusion. Pierce being a 4th Rd RB doesn't prove that RBs are a dime a dozen - it proves that NFL FOs have no clue how to evaluate RBs int he modern NFL. If you did a redraft today, he'd go in the 1st round. It's true, there are a virtually endless pile of backs that you can hand the ball off to and have them plod for a 3.0 AYC. When it comes to special backs, they're just as rare now as they've ever been - maybe more because it isn't a position in demand. With more and more WRs taking their carries and sometimes their jobs outright, maybe the true workhorse RB dies for good.
  13. OP isn't asking why we are playing KC, he's asking why it's an away game instead of rotational.
  14. It's hilarious you're dying on this hill for no reason. Cook made multiple players look silly on this play and you're over here acting like it's all routine stuff. Watch it in slow motion. It was a sick run.
  15. find a place with high speed internet and stream it.
  16. We aren't loaded at all at RB. Our QB is our leading backfield threat.
  17. It belongs here until someone decides that it doesnt. I fit bothers you that much it costs nothing to not look at it.
  18. Who are you benching? How will that improve your day?
  19. That's fine. Our o-line has clearly been good enough to blow teams out of the water on a regular basis.
  20. Reminds me of that play where Melvin Fowler aggressively blocked an invisible man.
  21. Coming soon: "Breaking: Buffalo Bills trade for Carolina RB!" Carolina RB:
  22. Yup. he had an opportunity to fix his mistake and he escalated it.
  23. Same, I never understood the move. They're the #2 seed right now and SB is having a monster year. He's playing himself into a long-term extension. CMC on the other hand isn't blowing up the league like he's done in the past and Carolina is a dumpster fire. I wonder if injuries are finally taking their toll on him, or if Carolina is just too bad to be carried. It's much more reasonable they'd want to trade him, but I wouldn't see it happening until after the season along with a firing of coach and new QB.
  24. Keenum has been horrendous this year in his limited action, but, he's also been way worse than he's ever been. I'd like to think that at some point he'll return to the mean and be a dependable backup that can win some games if needed. Hopefully the only action we need any backup QB for is mop up duty like this. I wouldn't hate the idea of the Bills keeping a legitimate prospect on the practice squad next year instead of guys with no upside.
