  1. Did they take the Chiefs for granted? I think that's kind of a given. They're a better football team in pretty much every way.
  2. I requires an interview. In other words it requires you to spend a couple hours of your time considering an option that's underrepresented. But please, tell us more about what a travesty it is.
  3. This is just plainly wrong. Mahomes was sacked 4 times for 40 yards - at crucial times compared to 2 for 8 against us (one was a -.5 yard scramble). The Bengals got consistent pass rush and their corners dealt with the receivers much better. We gave Mahomes a 33/44-378-3-0 line with a 123 rating compared to 26/39-275-3-2 with a 91 rating against the Bengals. Big time sacks, shutting down the big plays, and getting sacks was the difference in the ballgame. The Bengals in no way outgunned our offense Our #1 defense was a bloated metric due to beating up trash opponents with one of the three easiest schedule sin the league. They fell flat against big time competition.
  4. literally, yes. Did you even watch our game or the Bengals game? Defense is undeniably what cost us and won the Bengals that game, despite Burrow's gaudy box score.
  5. Looks like Cinci did it with great secondary play and pass rush rush. That works too.
  6. I would bet that saquon doesn't get traded at all and he's going to be the centerpiece of the offense. If he does, he won't go for any less than a 2nd a 3rd and a starting calibre player. When healthy he is a top back.
  7. Diggs is as much of a top-end WR as we need and Davis fills in great as a #2 and deep threat. beyond that it's important to get a player with some shiftiness for the slot, but they don't need to carry the kind of cap that Cole does. McKenzie on a bridge deal would be fine, otherwise I'll look for someone in the later rounds to compete with stevenson, hodgins and some value free agents. I think what would help us more than anything is a couple of really good pass catching and pass blocking RBs. They don't have to be top of the line, but NE has made hay with that committee based approach for years and I'd like to have someone like james white, kevin faulk, shane vareen, etc. A second TE that's not useless would be nice too.
  8. The Giants aren't going to trade Barkley and they would be insane to do so for the awful compensation suggested. If they do take any of that, maybe we should get Jamarr Chase for a 5th and Pat Mahomes for Cole Beasley and a bag of footballs,
  9. Milano is an impact player, but he didn't show up for us much when we needed him most.
  10. As long as we're going to play a rush 4 defensive scheme, the answer has to be DL.Outside of a few select top-tier CBs, most can't lock down top WRs forever, so you depend on consistent pass rush to get there in order to force quicker throws. Yes, we've invested a lot in DL, but we haven't found our TJ Watt yet, so we shouldn't stop trying until we get one. MLB is is also a huge need in my book and if we let Levi walk, CB is also a need. All that said though, one dominant Dlineman makes everyone else on the defense better, so that's my pick.
  11. This says everything there is to know about you.
  12. You've chosen such a terrible hill to die on. People dump a pile of rational arguments in your lap and you can't get past 40 times which don't have very much to do with YAC. Something else worth talking about is that we ranked second in Air Yards per completion. While the aforementioned teams all were in the top 10 in that category, we had 3 receivers (Sanders, Davis, Diggs) in the top 38, more than any other team. The Rams pumped up their numbers because they got more help at the bottom of their roster while we had a 50% dropoff after Diggs to Beasley.
  13. Imagine being 44 years old and still getting to credibly claim you went out on top?
  14. 3/4 1&2 seeds lost at home. The bills were the only road team that lost.
  15. Today I learned that 4.4 40s are "slow". Neat.
  16. Good. If I never saw another taunting penalty it would be too soon. Sack up.
  17. I had no idea that he somehow caught 7 TDs against 210 yards with a 36% catch percentage. That's beyond weird.
  18. This was the best game the Bills (or anyone) has ever played as far as I'm concerned. We had the perfect game the week before, but the pats no-showed, and we had the greatest comeback of all-time but the Oilers got complacent and it cost them. The Chiefs fought us tooth and nail and had the game gone on an hour longer, i doubt it would have been more than a 1 score game. I wanted them to win more than anything, but I haven't had that much fun watching football in over 15 years. I'd consider myself lucky if I got to see another game that good in my lifetime - even if it's another loss.
  19. Tampa is going to fall apart soon. They'll be losing Godwin, Brady, Gronk, Suh, Arians, JPP, Fournette, Jones, Gholston. If Brady retires, look for everyone else to bail. They have no solution at QB barring a veteran move and those options won't replace what Brady did for them.
  20. The hate was no less "rational" than the praise. There are QBs drafted every year, and often early int he first round. All the guys that draft them think they're going to be "the one". It's up the the players to go out there and do it. Some of the 1rst round guys flame out of the league in 3 years and some of the day 3 guys turn into Tom Brady and Russell Wilson. There's a certain element of it that's really just luck.
  21. I was an all-time Allen detractor when he was drafted through most of year two - though I did like some of the things he did there. By the time year 3 was half over - if you were still hating the kid you were clueless. He still needed to be better, and then he did that this year. Now, I don't think he needs to be any better, but he still could be.
