  1. Saying that he's not going to go all out to protect himself from injury would not be in his best interest since he wants a huge payday after the season. Cook really impressed me last year with his excellent vision and his physicality to run over defenders on his way to the end zone which I didn't think he had in him. The two Chiefs games and the Seahawks game he looked like a running back possessed. My heart says he's earned a big contract extension but my head vehemently disagrees with my heart in that you shouldn't give an above average player at the running back position elite money. Especially if the RB isn't a bellcow back. My guess is he'll play well next year and then sign elsewhere and we'll get a 4th or 5th round comp pick for him.
  2. I hear what you're saying but Simmons was sitting their for the taking last year as a free agent all the way until mid August before signing with the Falcons. There were no reports the Bills were interested so I don't see why they would be now.
  3. For those that give any credence to PFF he had an overall grade of 59.9 which was 113th out of 171 qualified safeties. I'd be shocked if he's on the Bills radar. It's not that unusual for veteran free agents will hold out until after the draft as teams look to patch up holes on their roster they failed to address in the draft.
  4. Shoot. I really liked Watts if he fell in the 2nd round.
  5. Just the naysaying left?? It's anybody who's taken basic economics. Good luck buying anything in the US that is made exclusively American.
  6. Depends on who's talking. You're right. It can't be both. The market jumped today on optimism that Trump would roll back his tariffs promoting free trade and then came crashing down when investors realized the new tariffs would be implemented.
  7. OK. I'll table it a week to see what happens. I have that forever stamp locked and loaded in my desk once we reach breadline madness though.
  8. The funny part is it took them like three days to come up with a reason for hitting the penguins (and seals) with tariffs.
  9. Freudian typing slip. Sorry about that. I'm sure they'll be wonderful well thought out agreements. The reasons the markets are panicking is the chaotic approach and nebulous messaging coming from the White House.
  10. I'm getting a lot of mixed messages with this stupid tariff thing. One is that Trump is using it as leverage to make artificial trade deals. The other is he'll keep these tariffs in place in order to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. The other is he imposed tariffs to a country with only penguins living there who've been taking advantage of us for years.
  11. True but you also have to maintain the offense.
  12. I'm guessing for a center you can extend him for around three years $36m?
  13. If Trump keeps up this stupid tariff thing. Forget violence. I'm ready to write a strongly worded letter to my Congressman.
  14. Only team to draft three RB's in the first round during the drought span. Those picks could've went to more premium positions. Glad those days are over.
  15. He wasn't abysmal last season. He was an average starting DT. It would pry be an open competition for playing time in the rotation if they took a DT like Harmon in the draft. Having said that, Jones could be a surprising cut as it would free up $5.5m in cap space.
  16. No what I haven't heard. We could've had Sky Moore and Felix Anudike-Uzomah
  17. I mean we signed two guys that got busted for juicing. Mine as well add a Panda Express burglar to the team. Beane's tried everything else.
  18. If the Chiefs offered their first round pick for James Cook this board would pry be against it.
  19. The Chiefs obsession on this board is getting out of hand. LOL.
  20. Yup. Ovechkin benefited from not playing in that era. However, even after the lockout the average goals per game were still lower compared to Gretzky's prime years in the 80's. I'd argue he was the better goal scorer. Gretzky's 1,963 assists and 2,857 total points will pry never be eclipsed though unless they teach Josh Allen how to skate.
  21. George Blanda - most extra points ever made from 20 yards.
