Pocket the cash, sell my tickets, and cancel the flight and hotel. Was at the Minnesota and Pasadena Bills Super Bowls. Sorry guys.

Don't ever underestimate the Jets ability to screw things up.

Anyone on the Bills you think could be traded?
Doc Brown replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's only Allen. Everyone can be bought at the right price except him imo. Guys I wouldn't trade away unless a team made such an outlandish offer we couldn't refuse would be Dawkins, Brown, Oliver, T. Johnson, and Benford. -
Tyrod Taylor and a 1st round rookie QB would be my best guess.

Agreed. Mahomes had his worst game of maybe of his career despite all the pressure. A pick 6 and an INT inside your own 20 is inexcusable. He had a QBR that's not legally allowed to watch R rated movies even with his garbage time TD's. Allen would've performed better as we didn't have the jumbled offensive line where you have a guard playing tackle. Our defense would've gotten gashed though and even shortening the game with running Cook and Allen on long sustained drives gives you pry get a 31-21 loss imo. People underrated the Eagles all year pry because they ended so poor last year and started 2-2 this year with underwhelming wins. They have a very good but not elite QB that many think you can't win a Super Bowl with anymore. Plus, their sideline antics it seems every game was just strange so maybe people didn't take them as the powerhouse they actually were. Howie Roseman is the best GM in the league and I think they're pry a tier above everyone else right now. Their o-line and d-line talent is superb. Their offensive weapons are superb. All three levels of their defense are superb. If they had a better head coach we could be talking 16-1/17-0 next year and I don't think that's an overreaction.

Superbowl Game Thread - Chiefs vs Eagles
Doc Brown replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was going to be a nauseating game no matter what. This was pry the least nauseating possible outcome though. Just had to live with watching Xavier Worthy tear it up. That's about it. -
I was thinking more making the Super Bowl to go full Favre but just a letter further to make Jets fans more miserable.

It may not be his fault but this news dropping on the day of the Super Bowl is so Aaron Rodgers.

He got a 37 on the Wonderlic so I don't think it's an unreasonable criticism as he's capable of it.

Matthew Smiley out as Special Teams coach
Doc Brown replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Smart for them to hire the Special Teams coach that they converted a fake punt against in the playoffs. -
He could do the funniest thing ever. Sign with the Vikings and make the Super Bowl.

Matthew Smiley out as Special Teams coach
Doc Brown replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd put a considerable amount of blame on the Special Teams in losses to the Jets in 2023, the Broncos in 2023, and the Rams game this past year on special teams blunders. You can't have that. -
Matthew Smiley out as Special Teams coach

Wow. Surprising news. Besides not converting any fake punt attempted, giving up every fake punt attempted, giving up a plethora of long kick and punt returns, not having the correct number of men on the field in critical game moments, and allowing multiple blocked punts throughout his tenure I thought he did a great job. McDermott better be right about this.- 151 replies

Yeah. If those all pro votes came out after the MVP award Josh would've went in as the favorite. Maybe they should just wait until after the Honors awards to release their All Pro votes. Add to the suspense a little bit.

True. Whenever something pissed me off before this whole internet fad I would just B word about it to my next store neighbor Mike. He'd cool me off with a six pack. Now I have the ability to connect with thousands of people I don't know who have the same opinions I do and it frustrates me more. I miss just talking to Mike.

He did lead those teams to the Super Bowl though both as Wild Cards. Going 4-0 twice in the postseason with a passer rating of 95.7 in 2007 playoffs and 103.3 in the 2011 playoffs (15 TD's, 2 INT's in those games). He also has two iconic plays in the final drive of two Super Bowls with two clutch throws against the best team this century and trailed in the 4th quarter in both of those games. We've seen lesser QB's go on one post season heater but never two like Eli. Brady might have nine rings right now if it wasn't for him making those two iconic throws for the game winning drive. He's a really interesting candidate to say the least.

I bet that all the 99% of people that said they were going to boycott the game two weeks ago don't follow through.

That's always bothered me too because once you're enshrined it really doesn't matter if it was first ballot or not because you're a HOFer. A law student who graduates bottom of his class and barely passes the bar is still a lawyer. We do say first ballot HOFer but I don't see that on any of their busts in Canton. It was interesting listening to Carucci talk (who couldn't get into specifics) about how when they were debating Eli they felt he wasn't deserving of getting in his first year of eligibility so they've created basically two tiers of levels of greatness. First ballot means you're the best of the best and you just hear the name and there's no argument. The one caveat to that is the voters are required to name three modern era players each year. Anything after that means you're still very good to great but a tier below the first ballot guys. I'd love to hear their rationale for why they didn't consider Kuechly a first ballot HOFer and my guess is he didn't have a long enough career. So I think if Eli gets in it'll be a year when you really have a weak cast of first time eligibles.
