You might want to work on your PR skills. . Imagine Beane saying after the Elam pick, "We liked McDuffie and were not happy he went off the board on a trade-up. We had to settle for this guy."

With the 22nd Pick the LA Super Chargers select Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan Happy he fell here as it's a pretty obvious pick that reunites Loveland with Harbaugh. Gives Herbert another weapon at his disposal as he has great ball skills and reliable hands. Will need to fine tune is route running ability and we acknowledge he'll be an average blocker at best. Having Ty Conklin and Will Dissly already on the roster will help in that area. Greg Roman can sleep better at night knowing he can run 12 personnel from a variety of formations. The Packers @Ralonzo are on the clock..

Wonder if Sanders is the pick there at #2 then. Would suck because the Pats would get at least one of Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter.

It's strange to me that you dismiss the recent volatility in the stock market as just a normal cycle this week as if a jobs report came back lower than expected or the Fed might not decrease that interest rate by a quarter of a point. Especially considering we had the biggest two day market collapse since Covid and the biggest one day spike since 2008. The market's reaction saved (or at least delayed) what would have been an unsustainable tariff policy/trade war for the entire globe that would have been absolutely disastrous. Trump even said he backed down as the stock market and the bond market indicated people were getting "yippity." I'm thankful that Trump saw how disastrous his policy might have been and then course corrected. He now can attempt what no previous administration has ever dared to do and try to squeeze China economically with these strategic tariffs. I'm not sure the American people will have enough resolve to take a short term hit financially to cripple China but at least the plan makes sense now. There is a universe where you can support a president and be allowed to call him out when you think he's wrong. It's not TDS. It's basic constructive criticism. The same way I criticize McDermott for his defensive failure in the playoffs but still think he's a good enough coach to eventually help us win the Super Bowl. You can start all your culture war threads and every other stupid thing that the right and left fight about but realize that we're all on the same team here.

Deshaun Watson suffers 2nd achillies rupture
Doc Brown replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't go as far as horrible. I give him credit for taking the blame on the Watson debacle and he's obviously willing to spend. However, you'd think these owners would model themselves after other successful franchise owners and not meddle whatsoever in football decisions. -
So you proved your post touting one day of the stock market was wildly inconsistent with your past statements. Then when confronted on it you claimed you were making fun of people. You should run for office. This is why I'm concerned of a recession under a Republican president. We'd then have to have a leftist president come into office and exasperate the problem. Just cut regulations, extend the tax cuts, secure the border, and let the free market work its magic. It's not that hard.

Good point. He just did the same thing with Myles Garrett. It's hard as an organization to go through the pain of a full rebuild but if they could've gotten a boatload of picks for Garrett, saved the money they spent on him, and be relieved of Watson's contract after next season. They're just spinning their wheels at this point though. -

I remember hearing the rumors that they were going to take some kid from a Mountain West school with the 1st pick over him. -
Man it's gotta be hard to be a Jets fan. Your best quarterback since Namath was pry Chad Pennington (you could argue it was Testaverde) and he received MVP votes on ANOTHER team.

Their were three other teams now pearl clutching that also aggressively pursued Watson despite the allegations against him. The drop off in play by him was startling to me. -
What positions teams invest the most in (in the draft)
Doc Brown replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Forgot about Zay Jones. Still surprised we're not at the bottom in that position though. Very interesting though going through each team. It just shows you there's multiple ways to build a good and terrible roster. Poor Chicago can't get the QB position nailed down. -

Does the WR investment count Diggs as a 1st and a 4th rounder? -
I just did the Howie Roseman approach and drafted the highest guy on their board and I didn't hate it.
