Trade policy 101 really needs to be a new high school curriculum. There is no such thing as a "trade deficit." It's a subjective made up term. It's as silly as saying a surplus of imports is positive or exports exceeding imports as negative. It's like saying I have a trade deficit with the grocery store because I give them money for goods.

I never brushed it off as nothing and you'd have to be Hellen Keller not to see that his relationship with the team hadn't deteriorated at least a little as soon as the "very concerned" first day of mandatory mini camp opened. Especially the relationship between him and Josh. I assumed they got through 2022 with duct tape and thought they'd have to again in 2023 before it made more sense both on the field and financially to move on. The first time I thought it was actually more likely than not he was getting traded was the "you sure" comment on Twitter. I thought after that tweet that you needed to rip the band-aid off and get what you could for him which Beane ended up doing. The biggest shock to me was that he didn't wait until after June 1st so he could spread out the dead cap hit. Some fans did argue there was nothing wrong with Diggs though like you said and it's pry just the classic defense mechanism of denial for most. I can't get inside their heads though.

You're the GM and you have a QB that is still very raw and not even in the top half of the league yet. You go get him that true #1 WR in the middle of his prime. Beane didn't have the benefit of hindsight. You don't wait until the draft and hope you get lucky. No offense, but this is the absolute dumbest takes on this board that's been made repeatedly since the trade.

That is 100% fair. The reason people were so snarky was the idea that Brandon Beane of all people would be willing to eat the most dead cap ever ($31m) for a position that wasn't a QB during the prime of Josh's career was just highly unlikely. Especially when your only good WR besides Diggs was Shakir. Beane ripping the band aid off was shocking to me and a lot of us had to eat crow because of it. I underrated the toxicity of the situation when in retrospect I shouldn't have. People like Stephen A Smith were mocked on here but he turned out being right. I learned my lesson when it comes to looking too much at the cap ramifications and not enough about the locker room dynamic of a team.

I know the Bills love Knox but he might be getting in the way. Look at these splits. Knox only had 311 yards in 16 games last year. The silver lining is if Knox is released next off-season they can give Kincaid one more chance before he's able to hit free agency. Metric Kincaid Knox PFF Grade 76.6 57.1 Route Particiaption 57.7% 48.3% Target Share 18.1% 6.4% TPRR 0.28 0.12 YPRR 1.76 1.18 YAC/Rec 6.36 4.55 YACO/Rec 2.61 1.50 MTF/Rec 0.180 0 First Down/RR 0.091 0.046 FP/G 7.8 3.7 XFP/G 9.9 3.3 XFP/RR 0.51 0.20

I think he was just being honest as a quad strain can tend to linger as it's a soft tissue injury.

My fear is he pulls a Wyatt Teller of the 1st round on us. The talent is so obvious watching him play. He's not schemed open. Not sure if Brady's even capable of that. It's the fluidity of his routes that account for his above average YAC as he's already turning up field when catching it.
-
I completely agree. Beane trading for Diggs was his 2nd best move outside of drafting Josh Allen. He put up the four most productive season ever by a Bills WR. Getting a 2nd rounder for him was also a steal. Yeah, Beane made a mistake extending him but nobody criticized the move at the time. Their was always a walking on eggshells feeling with Diggs because of the way he forced his way out of Minnesota. Now we know why.

PFF still has him as the 10th best TE. He's going to be good in this league. Brady, him, and Josh need to figure it out or you'll see him excelling elsewhere. 10. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills Kincaid is another second-year tight end whose production declined from his rookie season, but he has still generated the ninth-most PFF WAR across the past two seasons. His 71.1 PFF receiving grade in 2024 was actually better than his rookie-season mark, but he saw 20 fewer targets and caught 31 fewer passes.

Browns Laugh Of The Day... Their Posting The QB OTA Stats
Doc Brown replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have a sneaky suspicion that Shedeur Sanders is going to be a top 8 to 12 starting QB in this league. He's got the first real chip on his shoulder sliding to the 5th round despite being viewed by most as a late 1st or 2nd round prospect. The Browns will somehow screw it up though and he'll take the Baker Mayfield route and excel in Arizona or some place like that. -
When the protests started in March five in a dealership in Las Vegas with the term "resist," two Tesla cyber trucks and charging stations were burned in mid March in Kansas City, and four vehicles were burnt in Seattle also in mid March. Most of the vandalism was just smashing Tesla cars with baseball bats or something similar. Most of the protests were peaceful though but when the public sees Tesla's burning on the news you gain little sympathy from the average American.
-
That's a good point. Something tells me Al Gore won't be on a news network scolding them for it though. Peaceful protest is fine but you doing crap like that only hurts your cause.

No. The Chiefs moved on from Tyreek Hill at the right time. The Bills had to eat $31m just to not have him play here.

Have our draft picks signed their contracts?
Doc Brown replied to billvernsays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Last year eight draft picks signed on June 4th. Keon Coleman signed on June 17th. Don't know the reason for the delay. Joey Bosa ironically was the closest rookie since the rookie wage scale in 2011 to hold out until he finally signed in late August of 2016. Even his brother didn't sign until right before training camp. -
The truth is usually the funniest. He's trying to expose the excessive waste in our federal government that we pay for in taxes. How is that a bad thing? But because he's associated with Trump we should burn Tesla's. That'll show him.
-
His catch percentage went down from 80.7% in 2023 to 58.7% last year. Putting that steep decline purely on Kincaid while absolving Allen and Brady is ludicrous imo. All three need to be better and I think he goes above 700 yards receiving this year at minimum.
-
No. You misinterpreted or I presented my argument wrong. I completely agreed with everything you posted. I'm well aware of the large contrast between how are government works currently and how the founding fathers hoped it would work. I'm not going to resort to political apathy though. I'll still go out and vote for whoever I think will make me and my family the most money. Usually that means voting Republican. If Trump continues his tariff crusade and Republican representatives support it then I'll vote straight down the line Democrat until they get the message.
-
I mean if you want a simple catch with above average yac for a TE. Here. The main problem with Kincaid is his feel for zone coverage could be a lot better. I know he dropped the ball on 4th down against the Chiefs. I know he regressed his 2nd year and maybe injuries did or didn't play a part of it. However, I do put some of it on Allen. He's imo the most obvious choice on this team to exceed expectations this coming year while Palmer, Samuel, and Moore will likely disappoint.

Please inform me of my subliminal message.

I could try to deflect but you're right. We've gotten to the point where we've become reliant on the courts to strike down unconstitutional executive orders so why should we expect either side to not test the boundaries. @Big Blitz post from above proves your point where he unknowingly pushing for more power to the executive branch because it means a victory for his side. It was my idiotic assumption that maybe the party that traditionally views the role that the federal government should be limited (Republican party). That goes for little intervention in the free market, a strong national defense, a strong checks and balance system, the promotion of federalism, and protecting the basic liberties and rights of all legal citizens of this country. I guess the true conservatives have been hijacked by a party where if you speak out against executive overreach when a Republican is in office you're shunned. It really shouldn't be that way but here we are.

You didn't watch the tape of him at Utah then. Ridiculous take by the OP.
