  1. That one sack was epic.
  2. That's the argument against Cook as he's not an every down back so he's not going to get as many carries as a bell cow RB.
  3. Yeah. I misread what you said. Sorry. I've always been a bigger McDermott apologist than a Beane one so this is kind of an awkward spot for me. His two best and franchise altering moves were drafting Allen and trading for Diggs. My main complaint hasn't really been his drafting because it's largely a crapshoot. I mean even Howie Roseman picked Jahlen Reagor one pick ahead of Justin Jefferson. It's Beane's refusal since 2021 to seriously address the WR position and then trying to sell us on that "everybody eats" concept because he made the mistake of extending Diggs. Sticking with Davis as the WR2 role for two years. Not signing Hopkins a few years ago. Not taking at least two WR's in a WR rich draft last year. Even this year not trading for Metcalf when it absolutely would've been worth it for just a 2nd and a 5th maybe?
  4. We'd have to roster four RB's then because I'm guessing drafting a rookie they believe can be the next Cook would get scooped off the practice squad. That's not happening. To me there's three options. First would be to just extend Cook. Second would be to not take a running back in the draft and draft Cook's replacement next year. Third would be to trade Cook and draft his replacement this draft.
  5. That's fair and Veach only has one more draft than Beane so it's a good comparison. His first year of GM he moved up to draft Mahomes. Beane's first year he moved up to get Allen. Both are top 5 GM's imo when you look at their whole body of work (not just the draft). There's more of a gap between Andy Reid and Sean McDermott though as we all know he's 0-4 against Reid in the playoffs and he got out coached in all four of them.
  6. Since Beane historically has been better in day 3 I'm digging all those picks.
  7. Most GM's take Rosen there. Taking Allen out of the picture is a dishonest assessment imo.
  8. Just pretend we got Benford in the first and Elam in the 5th. This whining is getting to me but BEANE SHOULD'VE MADE THE METCALF TRADE!!!
  9. They gave up a fourth for Trey Lance. LOL.
  10. Luckily, his biggest hit was Josh Allen and the moves it took to get him is still his greatest accomplishment to date. How much does Allen weigh while examining his day 1 and 2 picks. I can't simply say Allen was a hit and Elam was a bust so they cancel each other out. On the other hand you can say that Cody Ford was a bust but Spencer Brown was a hit. I would say he's been at least average on day 1 and 2 but above average on day 3.
  11. They don't pay you $8m guaranteed to be a healthy scratch. I don't see how this isn't an indictment on Carter. Unless they really value depth at the DT position.
  12. His new agent pry just went to Beane on Monday and said I'll just tell him we scoured the NFL landscape.
  13. The extensions I give an A-. Love the Shakir and Rousseau deals. I would've waited a year on Bernard. The rest I give a C+. Really wanted Metcalf and all it would've pry taken was a 2nd and a 5th maybe? I like the players in Palmer and Hoecht but they were both a bit of an overpay. You have to do that in free agency though I guess. Psyched about Ty Johnson returning and I was fine with Hollins leaving even though he was a fan favorite. The no shoes thing kind of weirded me out anyways. I like the Bosa signing because when healthy this guy's a beast. One year deals are always my favorite with players like him. Just keep him in bubble wrap until the playoffs. Still would like to sign a veteran CB to play or compete with a rookie across from Benford.
  14. Easy guy to root for. Plus, we've never seen the other three in a Bills uniform. Keep in mind that this was the reaction to the Mack Hollins deal last March. Kind of funny reading through it. https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/253649-bills-sign-mack-hollins/
  15. He could always change his mind before he signs and pull a JD McKissic
  16. I went with the FA field assuming that included Douglas, Samuel, and Jones (and even possibly Dane Jackson). It would have to take a really impressive training camp to have a rookie that at best is a borderline day 1 prospect to start immediately. I'd go free agent, rookie, and then Ingram/Elam in that order.
  17. I agree. However, we'll never know if they tried for Sweat as it takes two to tango. Arizona is a lot warmer than Buffalo.
  18. He better not pull a McKissic on us.
  19. Correct but he's not a liability on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd/4th and short downs.
  20. If he writes a goodbye letter to fans the Bengals would give him $41m/year.
  21. I'd just keep him in a plastic bubble until the playoffs.
