  1. I was surprised when they put the franchise tag on him and I'm even more surprised they gave him 28 million guaranteed. I need to see the contract details but there's no way he should make 28 million guaranteed based off what he's done so far in his career. They're banking on untapped potential and a future explosion in the TE market. Give me OJ Howard at one year 3.5 million who has just as much potential as Njoku.
  2. Yeah. I generally support people who make a political stand they feel strongly about as long as he’s willing to live with the consequences. After the workout snuff, the settled lawsuit with the NFL, the Nike deal, and the Netflix show where he compared the NFL draft combine to slavery. I think if he does get signed as a backup he’ll continue to be a provocateur with his politics and won’t be focused on football. I’d avoid signing him as he’s not worth the headache.
  3. I agree with this but from a PR standpoint it still doesn't look good. His base salary this year is a little over 1 million and then 46 million the next four years. Browns had the cap space to make his base salary at least 15 million this year. It just shows how desperate the Browns were for a franchise QB. His contract is significant in that guaranteeing that much money over multi years is unprecedented. Kirk Cousins contracts were fully guaranteed but they weren't as long or as expensive as Watson's.
  4. He only did the roast in the first place because Saget was a good friend of his. He was the best Weekend Update host in the show's history.
  5. He hated roasts and the one he did do (Bob Saget) he made it a point to make the lamest jokes possible. Hilarious set but I doubt he'd do another one if he were still alive. Burr would be my number one choice to roast him.
  6. Raiders might be the ideal spot for him if there is any. Clear cut starter in Carr who just got paid. Weak options at backup (Stidham, Mullens, Gabers). An owner who's spoken positively of him in the past and a franchise with a rebellious history.
  7. That would pry violate the 13th amendment. You'd also have to make exceptions for people with chronic illnesses, physical and mental disabilities, etc... Plus, forcing a law abiding citizen into military service seems anti American in multiple ways.
  8. That's true but it was easier to buy these weapons 30 years ago than it is now. Yet we have significantly more public mass shootings. Why is that?
  9. Your entire family is more likely to get struck by lightning. The one common thread with most of these public mass shootings is young males are the shooters. All debate on solutions really should be centered around figuring out why that is.
  10. He said he already saw that. Both versions are worth watching though.
  11. I suggest "Moneyball" or "Inglourious Basterds" if you have an inkling to see more baseball movies. "The Sandlot" is also my favorite Mike Vitar movie.
  12. No. You're right. NYS is definitely in debt. I don't even believe it was a thought to pay some of it off using the unexpected budget surplus from last year.
  13. Haven't seen him golf but I just assume he has the Happy Gilmore swing.
  14. They're not reducing spending. NYS had a budget surplus last year so they're using some of that to make up for the future lost revenue from the gas tax.
  15. Traveling to Miami on a short week in September is not ideal. We may only win by 20.
  16. I had to look it up because there was no way the Green Bay Packers wouldn't have been favored those first two Super Bowls. Same goes for the undefeated 70's Fins. I'm not sure they even did preseason future Super Bowl odds back then.
  17. Odds only go back to '77 so we have a 13 per.......oh boy.
  18. College days three of us would split two buckets with pitchers Genesee Cream Ale. I'm sure I hit 50 at least once. I type this after eating a lettuce wrap with unsweetened ice tea. Getting older sucks.
  19. Compare that to Mahomes ignoring his teammates to find Allen to shake his hand after the 13 seconds game. That stuff matters.
  20. He was great. So was Alfonso Herrera as Javi. If we're going small but memorable tv roles I'll throw out Pedro Pascel in GOT.
  21. Musk is like the Howard Hughes of the 21st century. Multiple endeavors that are awesome but financially risky. Thumbing his nose at authority. Eccentric. Love it.
  22. Outside WR depth. I don't see a player on this roster that can effectively fill in for Diggs or Davis when they need a breather (or get injured).
  23. Tesla was kicked out of the S&P 500′s ESG (environmental, social, governance) index. The most successful electric car manufacturer/seller in the world that has done more for the environment than nearly any company on there. That would be like kicking the Beatles out of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because Ringo got caught jaywalking or something. It's insanity.
  24. His fault. He dropped all that weight for no reason and he went from passable to a liability.
