I didn't mean to make it look like I was psyched about the idea of trading for CMC because of all the reasons you mentioned. Especially if we meet their demands of a high draft pick or multiple day two picks. The most underrated reason you touched on is Dorsey and Allen would be pressured to force the ball to a big name like CMC. Plus, there is always an injury concern and he may be a tad slower than he was two seasons ago. Just trying to explain the added value would have more to do with pass catching than improving our running game like some posters insinuated. I want to remain a pass happy offense and am perfectly fine with how we've been executing the first five weeks. I have faith that our run blocking will improve as the season progresses but we'll always be a pass first team.

My point is we pass to our running backs a lot. Fifth most targets in the league (44 targets) and tenth in passing target percentage (22.3%). The best argument I can think of for bringing in CMC if we're throwing that much to our RB's then we mine as well have the best passing catching running back in the league at are disposal. Even if he won't help our running production whatsoever because people think it's purely an o-line issue then there's still some value in trading for him because of his pass catching ability. BTW, we barely ever throw to our tight ends as we rank 31st percentage wise (13.2%, 26 targets overall).

We throw the 10th most in the league percentage wise to our running backs this year.
-
Our RB's have the 5th most passing targets in the league this year.

It’s more about the pass catching ability and CMC is a significant upgrade in that regard. More YAC ability and can help draw the defense closer leading to more opportunities for deep shots.

BARNBURNER ALERT - Commanders @ Bears TNF
Doc Brown replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't go as far as calling him a bad NFL head coach. I reserve that category for Adam Gase, Hue Jackson, Dick (how the hell did I coach as may seasons as I did) Jauron, etc... A meddling one would pry be more accurate. -
BARNBURNER ALERT - Commanders @ Bears TNF

That fair but that season still counts though just like his worst season does when looking at his overall body of work. So he's 92-86-1 and 3-5 in the playoffs. However, he hasn't had a winning season since 2017 and should absolutely be on the hot seat. I think he's not fired until the end of the year though because Washington has enough turmoil higher up that they pry don't want to rock the coaching staff. -
Deshaun Watson to be suspended 11 games via settlement

Still denies everything he’s going to counseling for. I hope it helps. -
NFL Week 6 broadcast maps: Bills-Chiefs nationally televised on CBS
Doc Brown replied to RiotAct's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm guessing this is the one game CBS was able to protect. Not a fan of late afternoon games as I usually take a cat nap before dinner. Will have to sacrifice it like when my grandpa got wet storming the beaches of Normandy. -
Miserable season. I remember just rooting for the Bills to somehow scored two touchdowns to get my free Tim Horton's coffee the next day. Now I'm mad that we didn't get our running game going early on even though we put up 31 points in the first half.

Analytics doesn't take into account that McDaniels is the play caller.
-
That's why you blitz him. Tyreek is in Miami. Different offense.
-
Pry not. Lives in Vegas and doesn't have to deal with a smug narcissist throwing to him.
-
Teams are more willing to blitz Mahomes now because of it. I wouldn't be surprised if Frazier dials up some blitzes next week.

Travis Kelce is my cheat pass sign. LOL.
-
Got to get pressure with four or that happens.
-
The ball got passed the line of scrimmage.
-
Refs will not give the Raiders an inch this half. LOL.

Real fans in KC. They've had a lot of down years like us too.
-
The rule official on the broadcast said it was incorrect.

I'm just talking this season and maybe next year depending on the financials. That still gives us Cook with two or three years left on his rookie deal.
-
Having that threat of an explosive receiving threat out of the backfield would add another dimension to this offense that would give d-coordinators more headaches. Cook just isn't that guy yet like Beane envisioned. Learning behind a guy like CMC would be ideal.

He would fit nicely in the way our offense has been attacking defenses this year. Play cover 2 shell and we'll just kill you with the short passes. Bring down a safety and we'll hit you deep. We also have Singletary to lighten his load so the injury risk hopefully goes down. If Carolina is willing to eat a big chunk of his salary I wouldn't mind the move. I could see a 3rd and a 4th for him or something like that.
