Sure, but again the players don’t want to work more. -
Report: NFL owners pitch 18-game schedule
Boatdrinks replied to nucci's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You put it in the rules. However, that part is just to appease the players, who do not want to play in more games than they do currently. Of course, they wanted almost no practice time, no two-a days, don’t want to play in preseason etc etc. -
What has happened is somehow we’ve become a nation where it’s okay, heck even expected behavior to be a bunch of whiny soft-a$$ bit***s. Truly disgusting and getting worse by the day. This hyper political correctness is so out of hand. Bottom line, if you are here illegally you are an illegal. If you are a convicted criminal, you should spend time in jail not be excused because society has “ discriminated against you”. You are either straight, gay or just can’t deal with your gayness; there is nothing else. If you suck at school you either don’t work hard enough or you’re just dumb. If you need a “ support animal” to get through daily life situations you are spineless and should probably off yourself to get out of your misery. The truth should not be taboo.

Welp - I'm off the Josh Allen bandwagon
Boatdrinks replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ahh, the outlier. The exception to the general rule. Daly has really let himself go and is unable to compete at the highest level currently. Sorry, but he doesn’t prove any point. No more than “ the fridge” does for ballplayers. Think what you want, it doesn’t change the facts. -

All athletic feats are not the same. Could a defensive lineman be “ the best” at running marathons ? Probably not. Do you think Tiger Woods works out at the gym. Calling golf a “ skill “ akin to a card trick or “ magic” trick is beyond laughable. If you consistently are out of shape, you won’t be very good at golf, definitely not the best. An athlete is defined as one who is proficient in sports or skilled in exercises sports and games requiring physical strength, agility or stamina. Golf certainly fits in that definition, a card trick or a “ magical” sleight of hand does not. Hockey players tend to be good golfers, as similar talents are required. I wouldn’t want a hockey player to play on the offensive line, however. Many football players back in the day didn’t even work out at the gym, heck Kenny Stabler smoked cigarettes. -
So to you restraint = going easy on the cop while scuffling with him...? Holy **** , that’s crazy.

Try to stick an 8 iron shot within 5 feet of the cup from 150 yards, then ask yourself if you’ve just made an athletic move or not. -
Are there any racist institutions? How and why.
Boatdrinks replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not an example of a racist institution , or even racism for that matter. I live in a secure building like the one described, and I don’t let anyone I don’t recognize follow me in. Many folks ring all the video buzzers they can until someone lets them in, but I don’t generally unlock the door unless it’s a FedEx guy or something. You just have to be defensive these days, regardless of race. -
It’s not too much to shoot for, by any means. I simply don’t expect it. A few games will always surprise, both negative nad positive. The Bills are not yet at the point where winning is to be expected, and won’t be until they prove otherwise. If Allen stays healthy the entire season, perhaps 10 will be achievable if a lot of other things go well. The thread is about taling oneself out of a ten win season, which is still easy to do for this team.

Yes, very stupid. If you grab for a Cops gun you deserve what’s next , to be certain.

What an idiot

There is more than enough of an upscale market in WNY for the Bills to charge more than they currently do for tickets, particularly in a climate controlled building with substantially fewer seats.Of course not all seats will fetch the highest prices and there shouldn’t be 70k of them. Dallas, NYC or San Francisco prices ? No way, but overall cost of living is lower in WNY than many of those areas. I see lots of BMWs , Porsches Maseratis and Range Rovers on my daily drives. They’re not all jocks and MDs. Not many Ferrari’s or Bentley’s. I’d venture the Bentley driver would only be attending in a corporate box, and the Bills don’t have too much room for growth there. There is room for growth most everywhere else, though. I’m not talking about generational wealth, but upper middle class. There is a distinct difference.

I believe you, but I doubt that your opinion is the majority. A new stadium will most certainly not have the same cut rate pricing schedule as the current one. The goal in business is to make more money, after all. You apparently feel very threatened by the possibility of having to pay higher prices and that’s fine. However, it is inevitable that prices go up for nearly everything consumers buy. The fact is while some fans share your take, there are likely many who won’t attend games due to the bad weather and somewhat uncontrolled atmosphere brought about by the currently cheap tickets. No amount of whining about what the Bills organization might or might not do will change this. They will put forth the business plan they feel will increase their revenue appropriately. As fans we can’t control this regardless of our individual takes on a possible new stadium.
-
Apparently you don’t know any , ergo they don’t exist in the humble hamlet that is WNY.
-
Once again, this is not about filling seats. It’s about getting fans who are paying higher prices to fill them. For every fan who shares your opinion on a climate controlled facility, it’s probable that there are 5 who would attend and pay high prices to do so in such a building. But hey , it’s simple right? Just become one of the two or three winningest franchises in the NFL. Not a predictable business model to follow there. If a team could just go grab a Roethlisberger or a Brady when they wanted to, they’d all be doing it. You need predictability, and selling seats outdoors in brutal Buffalo weather is a challenge. How much more are you willing to pay for a seat in the current building?

Trump's 4th of July Speech thread
Boatdrinks replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And that’s exactly what they want... Pride in America and celebration of her past to be condemned! That way they can sell socialism to the libtards with the message that America is bad, racist, and not inclusive. It’s sickening really, and they are buying in like sheep. That Ho-bag from the US women’s soccer team told USA Today that we really need to think about celebrating Independence Day because “ America was built on slavery”. These people are truly an embarrassment to the nation. -
Bills Stadium Situation A Big, Big Nut To Crack...
Boatdrinks replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yours is a tired, outdated take from circa 1982. Things have changed in the last ten years or so, and continue to improve. Also, the stadium thing isn’t about selling more tickets. It’s about increasing revenue and generating new revenue streams. That’s hard to do with a subpar stadium in a cold climate with an entrenched cut-rate pricing schedule. How do you make a substantial price increase for the same cold, bare bones seat? How do you entice the more deep pocketed fan who stays away due to cold weather and a somewhat out of control stadium environment ? As always in sports, winning is far from guaranteed yet money needs to be made. The majority of the league misses the playoffs in any given year. Seriously, even at the current bargain basement prices, the average man/ woman is hardly the target market for a pure luxury entertainment product like NFL football games. The current stadium is only about 72,000. A new facility should be around 65000 or so to create demand. -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

Yet violent black on black crime such as shootings are over double that of any other race. Studies sho that white on black, black on white, Hispanic on white, et al happen at about equal percentages. Why is this? Look at Chicago, for example. Yes, we are all familiar with opioids and their death toll. However those deaths are largely overdoses. Not violent murders. While anyone can become a drug addict, one race seems more inclined to just flat-out murder people. The numbers support this as factual, and it’s not racist to wonder why that is. -
Trouble is , your weather scenario becomes a lot less likely after about 6 weeks into the NFL season. Is retractable possible or practical with BUF heavy snows ? I’m not sure if such a roof could withstand it.

NFL.com ranks Top 25 QB's of All Time: Jim Kelly #21
Boatdrinks replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Off the cuff , if posed with the question I’d have probably said Kelly should be around 20or so all time. This isn’t far off. Some crazy takes on here. I think Aikman is probably ranked a bit too high, but saying the Bills wouldn’t have broken the drought with Brady at QB ? You have to be kidding. I hate that choad with a passion, but the Bills would easily have been a playoff team with TB at the helm during the drought years. Multiple times, to boot. -
Occasi-Cortez Channeling the Rent's too damn high guy
Boatdrinks replied to bdutton's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So this is what she ( and other libs esp. millennials around the country) is referring to as a “ concentration camp” ? A disgusting example of hyperbole and just plain ignorance and disrespect. Obviously she missed her history lesson on the holocaust. The memory of that genocide should never be trivialized for political gain. Comparing the detaining of illegal immigrants to the murder of millions....where is the outrage from the liberal media ? -
Bills Stadium Situation A Big, Big Nut To Crack...
Boatdrinks replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NYC is the economic heart of NYS. Without it, WNY is among the poorest states in the nation. Anyway, of course NYS can afford it. They will simply spend that money somewhere else so it may as well be here. NEF is pushing 50, and it’s time. No, stadiums do not do much for the local economy. No one really believes they do, but that’s not what this is all about anyway. No one really thinks that there is an economic boost. If you want your team, you have to pay to play. That’s just how it is in the NFL. The Bills aren’t operating in some vacuum, why should it be any different ? State government keeps us on the hook for so much crap, and that won’t stop if they don’t kick in toward a new stadium. They will continue to spend our money freely regardless.
