I get the point several have made. My point is there seems to be an effort to single guys out even before the season starts. Brown is this year. He’s not an All Pro but if you watched the game Sunday he did pretty good.

Yes. It’s not almost every pass play either. Some yes. You’d be nuts to just let Crosby go wild for example. But he did just fine Sunday. What are realistic expectations? Should a RT allow no pressures in a game? If that is what people expect there are very few players who pass that test.

And it is not almost every play. Watch the games.

I have been watching Brown every game thus far. He has played OK. Too many fans have confirmation bias and/or think you should have All Pro caliber guys at every position.

Why do so many fans feel the need to assign a player as the designated punching bag? This year it’s Brown. Last few year Edmunds with a sprinkling of Oliver and Saffold. Brown has done OK so far.

Should have had the one catch for sure. But the flow of the game is the flow of the game. Last week flowed to him more and he played really well. Gave us better at downfield routes and we didn’t focus on those yesterday. As teams have to start cheating up to take away our shorter stuff that we’ve done the past two games Gabe will get his share.

Gave had one bad drop and 1 TD catch.

And why did Howell make mistake after mistake? A smothering defense. You just refuse to own what you said about preferring exciting losses. You refuse to acknowledge winning with less than 300 yards passing is a good thing. Could we have scored another TD here or there? Sure. The 4th and 1 call was dumb. Knox. dropped a TD pass. But the actual NFL is much different than Madden. In the real NFL you see what is working and not and adjust accordingly. McD had Howell and Bienemy befuddled all day. That was the story of the game. There was one catch he should have made. And of course had a TD. I realize it’s hard to find negatives when the team wins in a blowout but we all don’t have to be so desperate to find one either.

I’m not taking it personally. Merely stating fact. And while you made your observation, when others offer alternatives they are not excuses, they are differing opinions. In a game like yesterday when you have a defense that is smothering the opposition an OC would be a moron to throw the ball around and perhaps turn it over. But because you would rather have exciting losses vs. less exciting wins you don’t get that.

The guy posting this is the guy who publicly stated that he would rather have the Bills have over 300 yards and lose vs. under and win because it would be more exciting. Just reminding everyone.

If I recall correctly the first game against the Fish last year, we were missing both Hyde and Poyer and had Hamlin and Johnson starting at safety and were starting two rookies at CB. And we pretty much held their passing game in check. I would do what was done last year. I would play Elam in this game as he has the speed to keep up with either Hill or Waddle if needed.

You have to try and establish the run. Josh is doing Josh stuff. And the O line is playing great. But you want to B word about Dorsey. Whatever.

One weird call this half. One. All the rest of the call have us up 16-0 at the half.

Get a clue about football

I like PTI. Tony and Wilbon are fun to listen to, and they’ve been around long enough to have educated and informed opinions.

One of the virtues us senior fans have is patience. We recall the days before social media and the Internet when everything had to be at your fingertips immediately and opinions had to be formed immediately. I just wanted to see the kid play before opining, and this far he looks OK. He has to still do a lot with mentally processing things, getting the D in correct position, and such but he is very athletic, tackles well, and is pretty good in pass coverage. Look forward to watching him more.
