There needs to be a thread of the officiating today
oldmanfan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rule changes and refereeing are ruining the league. Take the roughing call when no Josh got hit. Ridiculous. The call against Poyer - the WR ran backwards into him. What was he supposed to do? We did not lose the game because of the refs, but the inconsistency in calls is wrecking the league. -
We’ll bounce back. But stubbornness on Dorsey’s behalf hurt. How many times did they run the delay to Cook out of shotgun formation? It didn’t gain a yard. When your defense is hurting you have to eat up click with long drives. Run the two big guys.

Miller may not be an asset going forward. He had no push at all today. Hope I’m wrong.

Terrible game plan on offense. And win or lose, the reffing in this game was terrible for both sides. Poor refs are ruining the game.

Win or lose, you cannot have refereeing like this. It is absurd.

This is all on Dorsey and the offense.

The refs are not just ruining this game. They are ruining pro football.

I’ve never looked at their ratings good or bad.

Damn. One of the best, if not the best, ever LBs to play the game. And his Lite Beer commercials with Bubba are classics.

Elam gets his shot. Ingram up from the practice squad. Onward. -
After today it’s time to recognize Davis is a great complement to Diggs. Then you have two TEs that can catch, Sherfield’s getting a couple a game, and Josh is using his backs more. No reason to bring a head case into the mix.

Tre White Injury Updates (Torn Achilles now confirmed)
oldmanfan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hate to see this. The guy is a warrior and to get another really serious injury has to be gut wrenching for him. Assuming he’s out this year, I’m wondering if he could be like a Rod Woodson and transition to safety next year. I’m assuming Poyer won’t be back. -
Elam a healthy scratch part deux (now part TRES) (now part QUATRO)

Time for the young man to step up -
I don’t want to hear anything more about Davis

It does not have to be that the D is bad. It is because both offenses on that filed are playing great.

Nope.

But is one’s judgment clouded because one expects to see poor performance? -
The Bills biggest problem on offense remains unchanged
oldmanfan replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I should dial it back a bit. Thanks for pulling me back in. I just find it interesting that after two blowout wins some still look for boogeymen, and fixate on a player or two. I am certainly not saying Spencer Brown is an All Pro or anything, but I have been trying to pay attention to him specifically and to me he just doesn’t look as bad as many are saying. Can he be better? Sure, in pass protection especially. But he’s not a train wreck so why keep referring to him as such?
