  1. Bills Mt Rushmore (if going on what the did for the franchise and if not taking into account degenerate murderers): Smith Kelly OJ Ralph If players alone (again if not taking into account degenerate murderers): Smith Kelly OJ Thomas If removing degenerate murderers: Smith Kelly Thomas Shaw
  2. No problem. And Jairus deserves mention at safety.
  3. Butch Byrd was a CB. He and Booker Egerson were both great. Tre White was great. And Taron Johnson is a great slot CB. But after listing these I indicated I’d put Robert James in place of Taron. All 4 of these guys were better than Winfield or Odomes, although they both were very good.
  4. Some other guys I thought about after my list that merit consideration: CB: I had Taron Johnson but I might switch to Robert James. Terrific corner. S: Had Saimes, Greene, Poyer, Hyde but Henry Jones should get mention here
  5. Seeing as I’m one of the few here who have been watching since 1960 I’ll give it a shot: QB: Kelly, Allen, Kemp, Fergy. RB: OJ, Thurman, Cookie, McCoy (Cribbs very close) FB: Braxton, Gash, Centers, Carleton WR: Reed, Diggs, Moulds, Jerry Butler TE: Warlick, Metzelaars, MacKeller, Kincaid T: Dawkins, Wofford, Stew Barber, Ballard G: Shaw, Joe D, Brown, McKenzie Center: Hull, Wood, Morse, Bemiller DE: Bruce, McDole, Schoebel, Hughes DT: Sestak, Smerlas, K Williams, Washington MLB/ILB: Fletcher, Haslett, Harry Jacobs, Shane Nelson OLB: Milano, Bennett, Stratton, Paup CB: White, Byrd, Egerson, Taron Johnson S: Saimes, Greene, Poyer, Hyde Sure I missed some but these stand out to me.
  6. McDole was DE. Jim Dunaway was DT with Sestak
  7. Ralph saved the AFL, was a major player to get the merger done, and was responsible for getting the big TV contracts started. He earned his spot.
  8. People are going to flame me for this one, but a guy I would consider removing is Marv Levy. Losing 4 in a row is not necessarily HOF worthy
  9. I would remove Namath. And I would put in Tasker. Not being a Homer, but Tasker was the best special teams player ever. The best players are supposed to be in the HOF.
  10. Fill your hand, you sonnuvabitch!
  11. Another Shaw gem. I would comment on the safety issue. I think McD knows how to coach DBs extremely well, and when Hyde and Poyer arrived I recall thinking meh- just a couple of guys. But under McD’s tutelage they became arguably the best safety tandem in the league. I think he will do similar things with Rapp and Edwards , and eventually Bishop.
  12. The guy I responded to wanted Franklin in the 4th
  13. The success of the offense is on Brady more than anyone.
  14. Again try reading. My comment was specifically in response to a take that we should have double dipped and taken a chance on Franklin in the 4th. How is that different than already having a guy from the 5th last year? It’s not. Believing Franklin in the 4th (after he dropped a few rounds over projection) was an answer, while discounting other guys taken those rounds that are on the roster, is just silly. Seems to me Samuel, Shakir, and Coleman will be the first 3 guys on the field. Who the 4th guy would be probably won’t make a ton of difference unless a guy like Claypool gets his head out of his butt, or MVS shows up.
  15. If Beane decides they need a guy like Lamb go get him. Fine by me. I suspect cap considerations and such will prevent that but if he makes a move such as that great. We will all applaud it. Everyone watches football. We all know we are not as brilliant as you but we still like to participate in the dialog.
  16. I have said a number of times that the success of the offense will rely on Brady and how his schemes get guys open. I suspect a big part of that will be using the TEs and RBs more.
  17. This was in response to Einstein’s Dog saying Beane should have double dipped and taken Franklin in the 4 th round. Well, how is that any different than signing a former 2nd round FA (Claypool) or an MVS, or drafting Shorter last year and seeing what he has this year after being injured last year? Try reading and following the conversation next time.
  18. If you don’t like them then Shorter is another guy that was drafted around where we supposedly should have double dipped. If Claypool gets his head screwed on straight I think he can be a solid contributor. If not then cut him. And again if Beane wants to bring in a guy like say Lamb fine by me.
  19. I would argue guys like Claypool or Hamler are equally if not more moldable.
  20. Lighten up Francis They did exactly what you asked except instead of double dipping for a guy that fell several rounds lower than anticipated they got two FAs in Claypool and MVS that were I believe in the 2-4th round range when drafted. So they didn’t just double dip. They double-double dipped.
  21. Mahomes gets the nod even if all things were equal. Not by a lot, but he does. Both have great arms, both can run (Josh is better but Mahomes can move when required), but Mahomes is better at taking what defenses give him, will take the 5 yard throw when it’s there. That’s the one area of Josh’s game where he can and will improve.
