  1. Sure we can. It's wrong. The kid is improving as you say. I see no reason why he should not continue to improve (and that doe not mean he won't have some more difficult games). You want the kid to be a star just past the midway point of his second season. That simply doesn't happen very often. I can remember Marino as an exception, maybe Russell Wilson. It's the most difficult position to play in sports. It takes some time to master it.
  2. Every year people talk about the schedule being tough. Every year things change in the off season and during the season where teams either fall off or improve.
  3. Yeah, it’s something to continue working on. But how many passes a year qualify? Not many. So relax.
  4. You have to hand it to the kid. He had a lot of detractors coming out of Louisville but he is taking over the league. It will be very interesting to see what McD and company scheme up to try and stop him.
  5. They need to throw the rule out, and everyone needs o deal with the fact that human error is part of officiating. Somewhat on topic, in SI this week was about innovations, and they talked about using automatic strike zones (use radar to measure), and how it would be accurate but take away from what we know as baseball. Football can put in reviews of every pay if they want, but it will ruin what we know as the game. granted I'm an old school guy, but if this is how replay is going to be used and abused get rid of it entirely and let the refs do their job.
  6. I think that kind of throw is, at best, 1% of the total number of throws a QB makes in a season. Criticizing a guy for not dropping a throw over a guy's shoulder from 4o yards away is to me nit picking. I think that has as much to do with a WR adjusting to the throw as it does to the throw itself.
  7. You’re being silly at this point
  8. Pittsburgh should be a win. Dallas can be. Pats can be. Ravens will be tough but we get them at home.
  9. For detractors to acknowledge growth by Allen, they would actually have to show up on the board to comment after a win. Many don't. Many only show up after losses. Why that is seems to me pathetic, but such is life.
  10. Lot of the young guys looked good today
  11. I like that you show up win or lose. As you know at least one critic admitted this past week he only shows up when the team loses. Pathetic really. Solid game byAllen today.
  12. Solid effort except for kickoff coverage
  13. Obvious makeup call. Blew the spot on the third down pass, call a phantom hold to make up for it.
  14. He was just hurt yesterday. Give them time to do testing and such.
  15. The damage he has leads to altered blood supply to the joint and then osteonecrosis. Necrosis takes time to develop
  16. Ok boys, don’t worry about matriculating the ball down the field. Just kick their butts!
  17. Yeah. I think the bit about playing fearless relates to this somewhat. Allen needs to play the first three quarters like he plays the fourth.
  18. Allen comes through in the fourth quarter. Taylor didn’t. Big difference.
  19. I hope so. I think they come out with a sense of urgency.
  20. I would have loved to see them play each other. I think our defense would have been up to the task of Lombardi and the power sweep.
  21. There you go. I predicted it. If he hits one next game or shows history of such, it will then be he needs to do it more often. I really wonder, if he hits two long balls and throws for over 300 Sunday, what the next thing folks will find to criticize?
