Sure we can. It's wrong. The kid is improving as you say. I see no reason why he should not continue to improve (and that doe not mean he won't have some more difficult games). You want the kid to be a star just past the midway point of his second season. That simply doesn't happen very often. I can remember Marino as an exception, maybe Russell Wilson. It's the most difficult position to play in sports. It takes some time to master it.

Every year people talk about the schedule being tough. Every year things change in the off season and during the season where teams either fall off or improve.

Somewhat on topic, in SI this week was about innovations, and they talked about using automatic strike zones (use radar to measure), and how it would be accurate but take away from what we know as baseball. Football can put in reviews of every pay if they want, but it will ruin what we know as the game. granted I'm an old school guy, but if this is how replay is going to be used and abused get rid of it entirely and let the refs do their job.

I think that kind of throw is, at best, 1% of the total number of throws a QB makes in a season. Criticizing a guy for not dropping a throw over a guy's shoulder from 4o yards away is to me nit picking. I think that has as much to do with a WR adjusting to the throw as it does to the throw itself.

For detractors to acknowledge growth by Allen, they would actually have to show up on the board to comment after a win. Many don't. Many only show up after losses. Why that is seems to me pathetic, but such is life.
