  1. that's actually a good heads up. i've only been once, but i always like to sneak that final beer in.
  2. same thing with the apple theater they opened in the pittsford plaza. besides food they'll bring booze to the seat. the first thing you notice when you walk in is a full bar. i never really thought i'd enjoy drinking during a movie, but here we are.
  3. i'm more involved now with the apple theaters and their ability to bring me beer during the movie.
  4. bills bonds or scratch offs. don't make me decide.
  5. i came into this thread expecting it to be far more spicy. i'm disappointed in all of you.
  6. i'm 99% sure we saw this thread last year...and it went pretty much the same way.
  7. i just saw they're not renewing. i'm almost done watching it now. not bad. it kept me interested, but pretty much anything star wars does.
  8. this year i think it's going to take a little luck.

this thread seems like a lot of unnecessary energy was put into it.
  11. Yes
  12. I was trying to be sarcastic, but I don’t think it worked.
  13. the weather should be perfect.
  14. that's a tough story. we took the kids on a disney cruise this year, and one thing that stood out was how often they asked you about allergens. at one point my wife and i were in an adult only bar, and the bartender asked us about allergens even when just ordering drinks. my wife asked him about it, and he said it was drilled into their heads, (and i think he said contractually) that they had to ask every guest every time a consumable is ordered. his specific comment was that if he didn't ask and something happened, the only thing disney would ask is if he wanted a window or aisle seat when they were sending him home.
  15. our heater is always set to 88...always. my wife hates it, but she can go ***** herself.
  16. once the pool is in, you need to start finding fun, drunken activities. i bought this at the beginning of this summer and we haven't looked back...
  17. you are correct. we're on fairport electric. from what i understand some of the suburbs years ago had the option to buy in from a different energy source. a few did, and as a result, the electric is very inexpensive. a lot of the homes in our area are all electric as a result. we had to put a propane tank in just to have gas fireplaces and a range. i'm far more interested in your mind and personality over anything else. if we can make this work, i'd like to wear matching speedos. possibly one with a pattern.
  18. love the pool. we bought a house with an in ground, but would have built one anyway. it's a great tool when the kids are young. if i feel they've been sitting around too much, we go right into the pool. if their friends come over, if we bbq, etc...there's always people in the pool. we've had parties where we hire a local lifeguard just to watch because there's tons of kids in there. we live in rochester, and it's open from the middle of may to the middle of september. we never use it until june, and there's almost always a few days after it's closed that it get warm enough weather to wish we had kept it open a bit longer. i'm sure as you're finding out, there's a lot to consider. above ground vs in ground. for in ground, do you go with a liner, fiberglass or gunite. Size, shape, accessories. some newer builds are great with a swim up bar, stools, etc. they just get really expensive. we have the classic chlorine filter that i feed with 3" disks. i'd probably go with saltwater as it seems easier, and less expensive. chlorine tabs are amazingly expensive now. get the heater too. we're very lucky where i live because electric is cheap, so we have an electric heater that runs all the time. gas can get pricy when you run it like that. another point to consider is who is going to take car of the pool. the woman we bought our house from said she never really enjoyed the pool until someone took care of it for her. I do it myself for the week to week stuff. monitor the water and drop the vacuum in to do its thing. we do have someone open and close it. a lot of people are willing to open it, but not close it on their own.
  19. the uses as invasive as they are, are somewhat interesting. there's a plan to put recognition on those mall maps and on the entrances to stores. it would recognize your shopping habits and show you a path you may want to take.
