Actually feel better about the Pats game after a so so Carolina game

this has nothing to do with finding out if i'm jewish...does it? -
i get to say it? ok then... super bowl!

it's newer within the last 10 years...maybe 6. it's off university ave, in a good location where you cant walk to three head brewery after, or another nice restaurant/bar around the corner called nosh. i think it started in gates, opened the location off university, then closed the location in gates. the mario's in brighton has closed down. the original location on east ave was great, and the mario's in brighton was solid, but towards the end it was very meh. the sunday brunches were hard core, but beyond that it started to lose its charm. the land was bought, the building torn down, and after years of fighting with the town and wegmans, a whole foods is being build in its place. i don't think the family has anything to do with the restaurant business anymore. they own a popular chain of car washes, and built a water front condo complex in webster where another restaurant they owned was located. my understanding is they have real estate in parts of the south as well. they've done ok for themselves.

if you ask for a substitution, they attack you.

well *****. here we go.

oh...it's as good as advertised. you can always have it with chicken, but the taste isn't quite right. when you and your girlfriend come to rochester, i'll take you to one of my favorite italian places. it's far more authentic than most, and the chef doesn't ***** around. https://fiammarochester.com/

now a days you can just ghost someone. breaking up has never been move convenient! also, have you had veal saltimbocca? it may be a notch above veal piccata.
-
i love veal piccata too. every so often i'll order veal, but it has to be from a very specific restaurant or two. one place around here does it on the bone, and it may be one of the best things on their menu. my wife won't eat veal either, but she doesn't flinch when i do.
-
i doesn't taste the same to me without the veal. i have it every so often, and it tends to be a bit too dry. people just bailed on the veal aspect, which i understand.
-
if i'm correct on this, (and i very well may not be) the old schools in our family had veal as part of it, and there was a hard boiled egg in the center.
-
you doing the egg/veal and everything?

this is nice. -
what i've found is that the majority of the events that take place in the afternoon all have alcohol involved. i had a few beers at disney on ice, and my wife made the decision to drive home. i kept drinking. 13 bucks a beer, but it was worth it. this is the important thing. sure it costs, but there's only so much time where it's worth that extra money. it's now and when we have grandkids. the disney on ice is my parents gig. they love taking the kids to see it. my 82 year old dad gets online the moment those tickets goes on sale, and get the floor seats right up against the ice. they love to spend money on the grandkids, and i won't stop them.

i'm on the opposite end of it. over the last few weeks, i've had christmas spirit shoved down my throat, but in a good way. we have young kids, so this is the window to make it special, and my wife takes that ***** seriously. last weekend alone started with a christmas pageant on thurdsay, dinner followed by a wagon ride light show on friday, followed by brunch with santa and disney on ice on saturday. sunday morning was the 6 and under christmas party at the trampoline park. other weeks have been filled with a polar express train ride, breakfast with the grinch, village christmas fair, etc. it goes on and on and on. it's fun, but i'm just about over it.
