  1. Good. At least he went to the NFC. I really didn’t want him landing on the Dolphins, Ravens or Chargers (all rumored to be interested).
  2. I can’t speak for others but I never once said, or implied, he was holding Bass back. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that both times Bojo was released, holding ability was mentioned though. holding ability was also mentioned by Beane as one of the reasons he signed/kept Matt Haack. Mason Crosby mentioned issues with the hold after missed kicks too (and observers caught it on video. Laces in). It seems to clearly be something Bojo struggles to do consistently. I doubt it was the only reason he was released by GB and Buffalo. But I have to believe it factored into the decision.
  3. yep, I’m sure they ripped up a deal with a lower cap hit that was friendlier to the team and gave him the first fully guaranteed contract in NFL history just to get 5 years of control instead of 4… 🤦‍♂️
  4. You’re welcome (for the amusement 😂) ! I just thought it was interesting that GB moved on from Bojo for the same reasons we did when I read the comments from the Packers GM at the league owners meetings
  5. Another total horse **** shootout attempt to end the game. Blake Wheeler was pretty much going backwards by the end of that attempt! Ridiculous that stuff like that is allowed.
  6. Great start! Winnipeg looked overwhelmed for much of the period. Just keep it going!
  7. I was thinking the same exact thing reading through this thread.
  8. Is that $80 only for the first year? I’m guessing so. I know that’s how it works with their normal cable packages. For ex, the their base cable + internet package (with a cable box, not streaming) starts at $120/month but that’s only the price for the first year. Then it goes up to $200+ a month. If you’re getting a permanent $50/month discount I’d call spectrum and make sure that $80 is the long term price, not the new customer price for the 1st year. As far as the spectrum streaming app, it’s not bad. I use it on a couple of my TVs that don’t have cable boxes. As long as you have good internet speeds you shouldn’t have an issue streaming it. The app isn’t really available on many platforms though. Only Roku, Apple TV and Xbox afaik. Like I can’t download it on my fire stick or android (Sony) smart TV. definitely check how much data you use though. I don’t know how much data streaming uses. I don’t have a data cap. edit - I’ve also been a Verizon cell phone customer for decades and like their cell service.
  9. i am so sorry to hear this Limeaid. Such tragic news. My condolences to you and your family.
  10. I’m sure you’re probably not aware of this but It’s not really a choice to shave your head. Your hair falls out in big round patches, leaving these big smooth shiny spots of scalp and little patches of hair. The hair also usually doesn’t grow in right. It’ll get an inch or two (or 3) long then start falling out again in some spots. So if you don’t shave it, it can look odd having spots of hair that are 1/4” long and others that are 2” and others that are 5” (etc). My family member with alopecia shaves her head for a few reasons. 1) not a lot of choice when your hair is growing in like that. 2) it’s heart breaking to wake up every morning and have to see a new bald spot on your head. 3) it’s easier to wear wigs with a shaved head. I give Jada a lot of credit for going to the Oscar’s without a wig or any type of head wrap. My family member w/alopecia hasn’t reached that point yet where she feels comfortable in public without a wig (and she’s had it for decades). That’s a courageous step IMO.
  11. yeah that actually makes sense that he didn’t know looking at the way he responded to the crowd’s reaction to the joke. When he made the joke and some of the crowd kind of went “yikes” or whatever, he just shrugged his shoulders and said “what? That was a nice one!” or something to that effect.
  12. That would actually change my opinion of what happened. I don’t know that it’s ever a great idea to make fun of a bald woman (partly for this reason…). But if he didn’t know she has alopecia then he obviously wasn’t purposely making fun of her medical condition. If that’s the case then it was just more of a dumb/thoughtless joke on his part, rather than purposely being an a-hole. I assumed he knew when I read that Jada Smith had been open about the condition. But as I already mentioned I didn’t know she had alopecia until this happened, and I’ve seen her with short hair before, or wraps on her head but I never really thought much about it. So I can believe Chris Rock when he says he didn’t know either.
  13. I’m not sure this is really that much less controversial. Lets take the Bills - KC game for example: KC gets the ball to start OT. Score a TD. Bills get the ball. Score a TD. KC gets the ball. Scores a TD or kicks a FG. Wins. I don’t know, I guess I’m not seeing how that would be all that much better. It’s obviously less controversial if Buffalo gets the ball then doesn’t score a TD. But if they score a TD then KC wins on a TD or especially a FG, it would still feel like BS that Buffalo didn’t get a chance to match (again). I think sudden death until one team fails to match the score of the other team would’ve made sense. So say KC scores. Buffalo scores. Then KC kicks a FG. Buffalo gets the ball back and if they score a TD they win. If they kick a FG, then KC gets the ball again. If neither happens buffalo obviously loses. Or just playing a 10 minute OT like the Bills proposed.
  14. I think both Chris Rock and Will Smith were in the wrong here. That was a terrible joke by Chris Rock. But Will Smith had no right to hit him. IMO Smith would’ve been better off if he just walked up on stage, asked for the microphone and said something like “Chris, you know my wife has a medical condition that makes her hair fall out, right?” then just handed the mic back and walked away. Then just Chris Rock would have looked like the one in the wrong. I didn’t know that Jada Pinkett Smith had alopecia areata until this incident. I see now that she’s been open about it in the past but I don’t follow celebrity news at all. That’s not something you should joke about. I’ve seen people saying “it’s not like she has cancer or something” and I agree, alopecia isn’t cancer and thankfully isn’t life threatening. But it’s still a Very difficult disease to deal with, especially for a woman. I have a female family member with alopecia. She’s had it since high school and it’s been pretty difficult for her to deal with. She’s dealt with all sorts of nasty teasing (sadly even now, as an adult), rumors about her and whispers behind her back. It’s not like she wears wigs and fake eyelashes/eyebrows for fun, but that doesn’t stop the gossip. One of the things that makes alopecia so difficult to deal with is that it’s random and/or cyclical. Your hair will start to grow back in, then just when it’s really starting to get long enough to maybe go without a wig your hair will start falling out in big round patches again. Or sometimes maybe your hair will grow in king enough to go without a wig for a few months, then start falling out again. It can be such an emotional rollercoaster. Seeing as it looks like Jada just recently shaved her head it makes me wonder if she just recently dealt with something like this. None of this excuses Will Smith’s actions though. He wasn’t wrong for defending her but he was wrong for the way he chose to do it.
  15. https://theathletic.com/3214690/2022/03/28/packers-gm-brian-gutekunst-explains-davante-adams-trade-more-from-nfl-owners-meetings/ Sounds like the Packers also moved on from Bojo in part because of his holding (in)ability too. Seems to be a common thing with him. Wonder why he struggles so much to hold kicks. Made me think of this scene: Not exactly sure why 😂
  16. i like this idea. I think it could actually potentially help.
  17. Wow! What a game!! So glad I didn’t change the channel when they went down 4-0! 😂
  18. Edit- also: -No new taxes to fund county portion. -Use of budget surplus and money currently allocated for stadium operating costs towards costs. County will no longer pay operating costs in the future. all things considered, this doesn’t really look that bad for Erie county.
  19. You were right! 😁 I’m excited! Very happy the Bills will be in Buffalo at least another 3+ decades.
  20. I was just starting to get nervous that it wouldn’t get done before the budget deadline approaching very quickly (Apr. 1st iirc). I’ll be relieved when it’s officially announced.
  21. I actually think this season of Hard Knocks will be interesting. Dan Campbell is… let’s see, how can I put this nicely… let’s go with “unique”. 😂 I’m interested to see how he runs the team. There should be some memorable quotes at least.
  22. Yep. I can’t stand shootout attempts like that. To me, stuff like that should be considered a violation of the forward momentum rule. Same with the ones where a guy skates in real wide then stick handles at a crawl sideways in front of the net. I know it’s a legal attempt within the rules but I definitely think it pushes the boundaries. I kind of wish they’d put a time limit on shootout attempts or something.
  23. 😯 almost Hasek-like. feel bad he lost today. He carried them all season. Definitely anxious to see if the Sabres sign him or he goes back to college for another year. Not sure what he has left to prove in college.
