  1. Looks like we were both creating our threads at almost exactly the same time! Within 1 minute of each other. yours was first but it must’ve posted after I started creating this one because I did look + search before posting it 😂 Mods feel free to merge my thread with his. Me too! I’m thinking maybe a late 2nd? Browns gave the first pick of the 3rd round. or a 3rd + a player? 3rd + 5th/6th? Id also like to know why the trade with Green Bay for #22 fell apart.
  2. https://www.ballysports.com/national/news/brandon-beane-s-lasting-formula-to-build-a-champion-in-buffalo really good read. Thought this was interesting ⬆️ also, they had Allen at #1 and Mayfield at #2 Lots of interesting little tidbits from Schoen
  3. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/nhl-playoff-tv-schedule-2022-espn-abc-tnt-tbs-hulu-streaming/ NHL playoff TV schedule. Games start tonight!! There are some good first round matchups. I’m actually looking forward to most of them.
  4. Agreed. And that’s possibly the most important thing. How will the players be used? How good is the coaching staff at developing, and at putting them in positions to succeed? What is the culture like in the building? How do the players fit into it? Is the culture strong enough to keep highly drafted rookies with strong personalities in check? Do the vets make sure the young guys are practicing/training right? There are just so many different variables. I look at the draft class of the Jets, for example, and it’s clear they added talent. But how will that talent mesh to make a team? I see a # of strong personalities (like all 3 of their 1st round picks). Do they have the cu,true in place to properly develop these guys? I’m not so sure.
  5. Official!! awesome! Great experience for Krebs, Samuelsson, UPL, Fitzgerald, Peterka, Quinn (etc). I really didn’t think they would make it. All Toronto needed was 1 point in their last 2 games.
  6. Yep! Hoping maybe OL with the next pick. Wouldn’t mind a Safety either, with Poyer’s future uncertain.
  7. Yeah, definitely some head scratching picks. A guard in the 1st? Trading a 3rd this year for a 3rd next? A mediocre QB in the 4th? I do wonder if there is something to the NE media theory that Belichick only has yes-men left around him now.
  8. From Burgler’s draft Beast: STRENGTHS: Polished route runner ... uses hesitation and timing to lull defenders and shake loose at the top of routes ... doesn’t give away his route path too early ... natural hands-catcher and snatches well in stride ... can twist his body to make midair adjustments ... accounted for a first down or touchdown on 75.3 percent of receptions ... quick first step to escape press or threaten defenders after the catch ... much tougher than he looks, and can take hits over the middle while finishing catches ... one of two permanent team captains in 2021, and coaches call him “selfless” and a “true” team guy ... averaged 8.0 yards per punt return (23/184/0) and 23.8 yards per kick return (8/190/0) ... also had 71 carries and five pass attempts over his career ... finished his career No. 5 in school history in catches (208) and No. 4 in receiving yards (2,878). WEAKNESSES: Quicker-than-fast, and lacks ideal long speed (doesn’t consistently play up to his timed speed) ... flashes some elusiveness, but missed tackles were infrequent on film ... shorter arms, and needs to add more bulk to his frame ... aggressive NFL cornerbacks will be able to out-muscle him mid-route ... will attempt to trap the ball or run before securing it, leading to easy drops ... has the same number of career drops (20) as touchdown catches (20) ... half-hearted blocker on screens and in the run game. SUMMARY: A three-year starter at Boise State, Shakir was the H receiver in offensive coordinator Tim Plough’s offense, lining up primarily in the slot. One of the most prolific receivers in school history, he averaged 121.5 all-purpose yards during his junior and senior seasons, which was No. 1 in the Mountain West Conference over that span. While he isn’t a true burner, Shakir skillfully uses gear control to set up defenders and create pockets of separation with his short-area quickness. He has terrific body control, which is evident in his routes, at the catch point and as a ball carrier. Overall, Shakir has average triangle numbers, but he is a crafty route runner with excellent hand-eye coordination and adjustment skills. He projects best in the slot and can handle return responsibilities. GRADE: 4th Round
  9. NFL network just straight up ignored the Bills pick. They showed it at the bottom of the screen then went right to talking about the Commanders pick. aggravating.
  10. They really do go to a commercial every time the Bills pick…
  11. Right?! I spent minutes watching highlight videos. Wtf are the Bills thinking not listening to me?!
  12. well deserved! He had an unbelievable season. rochester won their game 8-1 last night, so now they wait on the Belleville/Toronto game. If Toronto loses in regulation, Rochester makes the playoffs. If Toronto wins or gets it to OT, Rochester is eliminated.
  13. Not a fan of Willis going to Tennessee. I was rooting for him to succeed but now that’s tough to do because if he develops to his potential, the titans are going to be a really scary team.
  14. 18 minutes in 😂 He doesn’t know how much more the fan base can take. First Tom Brady moves on, then they draft a guard from chattanooga in the first round… 😂 that fan base is in for such a rude awakening. I just hope the Bills can torture the patriots for as many years as they tortured us! Heck, I’d even take 1/2 that amount of time (10yrs). lol
  15. Just listened to him talk to the Buffalo media. He’s definitely happy and he’s really excited to be here (for anyone worried he looked mad in that video when he was drafted). Said he fell in love with the Bills during the pre draft process. Can’t wait to play with Motor. They’re good friends and train together
  16. Woo! So happy they got the win for RJ!!
  17. Yeah it’s really starting to hit home now with less than 10 minutes left. Damn Bills keep trading back too 😂 this was so cool. Loved seeing all the player reactions.
  18. love this team so much! And especially Josh Allen. Dawson Knox is there too. Wonder if any other Bills players went?
  19. It feels so weird knowing that this is the last game I get to listen to RJ call. I’ve been listening to him call Sabres games for most of my life, first on the radio then on TV. I’m going to miss him! Still holding out hope he will come back for a playoff series if the Sabres make it in the near future. Get the win for RJ boys!
  20. Really intrigued by this pick. He adds an element the defense didn’t have. He can press big receivers or TE’s at the line and cover speedy receivers. Im hoping we may see some changes to the defensive philosophy to take advantage of Elam’s excellent press man abilities.
  21. https://theathletic.com/3259672/2022/04/28/nfl-draft-kaiir-elam-florida-gators/ Sounds like a perfect fit to me.
  22. I see not many have been humbled by hating previous Beane draft picks that turned out great for us, huh? 😂
  23. If Beane felt there was a need to trade up I’m going to trust him. Nobody here is in on their conversations or knows why he traded up. I like the pick. It fills probably the biggest need the team had.
