Still hoping the Bills find a way to get Bradberry. Much rather have him than Haden (at this point in his career). Bradberry had a bit of a down year last year but in 2020 he was a top 5-10 CB in the NFL.

I honestly don’t understand how that goal counted 🤷♂️ He 100% lost forward momentum. He was going backwards ffs. I don’t get why they interpret the rule that a player doesn’t lose forward momentum as long as he keeps moving. How can you keep forward momentum moving backwards? Glad the Amerks won though! They had to win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Yeah I’m guessing this is contract related too. I also remember reading rumors that Poyer almost held out of training camp the last time he wanted a new deal and Hyde talked him out of it. It’ll be very interesting to see if he shows for the mandatory offseason stuff without a new deal. Especially with Rachael in his ear… lol.

The race for the playoffs in the Pacific division is getting really interesting. Nashville- 76 games played 91pts (41 regulation/overtime wins) Dallas- 76 games played 91pts (39 ROW) Kings- 77 games played 90pts(36 ROW) Vegas- 77 games played 87pts (37 ROW) Canucks- 76 games played 86pts (35 ROW) Dallas and Nashville are 4pts ahead of Vegas with 1 game in hand. LA won their last game but they’re 4-5-1 in their last 10. Vegas could still pass them for 3rd in the division. But now Vancouver has been on a real hot streak lately. They won again last night, while Vegas lost to New Jersey. The Canucks now sit 1pt behind Vegas with 1 game in hand. Its going to be a really interesting last 5-6 games. I’m still not getting my hopes up yet about Vegas missing though. We are Sabres fans after all. Murphy’s law usually applies to us.

71 million guaranteed for Denzel Ward.
BillsFan4 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not so sure about the Jets… 😂 https://www.fanduel.com/theduel/posts/jets-turned-down-free-agents-nfl-insider-01g0chdsaecx Sounds like they’ve gone after pretty much all the top guys but got rejected by everyone. i guess reportedly woody Johnson is starting to get impatient. They said his brother Chris had a lot more patience but now that Woody’s back he’s already losing his patience with the slow rebuild. -

Seems like a lot of money for a guy who I’d argue isn’t even a top 5 CB. I’d put him somewhere in the 7-10 range. Cleveland really throwing around the guaranteed money this offseason! -
Edit! McKenzie is back on a 2 year deal worth 4.4 million

Gunner's 2022 Draft Quarterback Evaluations
BillsFan4 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks Gunner! I look forward to reading your Qb evaluations every year. -
Yes the VGK pick is top 10 protected. The pic currently sits at #16 if they miss the playoffs. Even if they make it the pick could still be decent if they’re eliminated in the first 2 rounds. I don’t know of a goalie available for trade that would be worth that type of draft pick though. Zero interest in trading a #16 overall pick for any goalie that isn’t elite. We could still get a pretty good player in this draft with that pick. The 2nd tier of talent looks like it runs into the late teens and you never know who could fall. I’d maybe consider trading the later of the two 1sts depending on the goalie. The Florida pick looks like it could be 27-31. I think John Gibson might be available (Anaheim) but I’m not giving up a top 20 pick for him. I also think Georgiev is available (NYR) but he was really no better than what we already have. I’m not sure of any others off hand. I’m sure there’s probably more. As far as free agents there’s a few: -Fleury (doubtful he would come here. Maybe if we overpay) - Kuemper (yes, but not for crazy $) - Holtby (same) - Jack Campbell (same) - Koskinen (could do worse) - Korpisalo (no thanks) - Halak - Schneider - Jones - Greiss Fleury, Kuemper, Holtby, Campbell would all be better than what we had. Koskinen maybe slightly. The rest would be meh.

Definitely need a goalie. That has to be priority #1 this offseason. I read they want to bring Anderson back but he’s unsure if he will retire or come back. I sure hope they are reconsidering that. I know they love how Anderson is like a father figure + mentor + calming presence to the team, and I know they are hoping UPL earns the starter role next season but you need a better backup plan than Anderson IMO. He used to be a very good goalie but I think about the best you can expect from him now is for him to continue being a roughly .900 save % goalie (like he’s been the past few seasons). https://www.nhl.com/player/craig-anderson-8467950 this year he’s at .896 They need someone that can at least give them league average goaltending (.910). Slightly above average (.915) would be even better. I don’t think that’s asking/expecting too much. This team with league average goaltending might have even been in the playoff race. I think they’ve been at a 95+ point pace pretty much ever since Anderson came back from injury and at least provided semi-competent goaltending (compared to what they had while he was injured anyway). I’m confident Tokarski won’t be back, at least in the NHL. I could see him in Rochester. But I’m hoping they are rethinking the Anderson thing. Or Anderson saves them and retires 😂 I still think Levi and/or Portillo are the future but like you said they are years away (assuming both sign here and don’t choose the free agent route). It would be great if UPL turned into a decent starter until then but I can’t figure him out. I thought he looked good in his short time in Buffalo but he’s struggled enough in the AHL that I don’t think you can rely on him to be a starter in Buffalo.

Anyone have a home theater? I started building my home theater back when Covid first hit. I cleaned out my attic as a pandemic project and set up a home theater with equipment I had laying around. I’ve upgraded everything since then and I actually just upgraded my subwoofer for a 2nd time (selling the old one if anyone’s interested! 😁). I kind of went overboard this time. Went with an 18” pro grade subwoofer (B&C tour grade driver - same one used in large concert venues and by professional bands) with a 2000wt amp. It plays down to about 8-10hz in room. It’s pretty crazy. Next up are new front L + R tower speakers. This was the box the new subwoofer shipped in. It wasn’t fun getting it to my 2nd floor…

Me too. I thought it was one of the worst trades in recent history. Don Granato really saved that ROR trade by moving Thompson to center. Not only is Thompson’s game better suited to center, it also gave him a huge boost of confidence (as Tage told us). Now they just need to get the other piece of that trade signed - Ryan Johnson. Its looking more and more like he’s going to go back for his senior season though. The Sabres would still have a short window to sign him after next season before he turns UFA, but if he goes back I won’t be feeling very good about their chances. Johnson might be looking at the Sabres left defense and thinking he will have a better opportunity elsewhere (especially since the current GM didn’t draft him). Hope I’m wrong! No, I didn’t. what is it, an Rj’s last call t-shirt? Do you have a link to a pic?

Another good win! 3 of their last 4! Im actually bummed that there’s only 4 games left. I don’t want the season to end. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve felt that way. That’s how I know they’re playing good hockey 😂 Ive even been watching some of the coach and player interviews again (I used to watch them all).

Have you ever seen one of your teams go all the way?
BillsFan4 replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
I was at the Bandits championship game at the Aud in 1993 when they won it at home (their 2nd championship in a row). I remember when Kilgour scored the game winning goal for Buffalo. The Aud went absolutely crazy! The whole building was shaking. I remember the whole ride home we were cheering and yelling and beeping our horn and anyone we saw 😂 I was also there when the Buffalo Stampede (roller hockey) won the championship in their first (and only) season. I was there for the Bandits 1996 championship win too. -

Don’t celebrate yet. Unfortunately, the problem now is the friggin LA kings. They are kind of imploding and Drew Doughty just recently went out for the rest of the season (surgery). They’re 4-5-1 in their last 10 and Vegas is only 3 points behind them with 1 game in hand. If Vegas passes them they take over 3rd in the division, so the wildcard won’t even matter and they’ll face an easier opponent in the 1st round. Instead of Colorado they’d face Edmonton.

Are you sure? I can’t find anything showing that they already charge PSL’s, and every article I’ve read states it’s a new thing. https://www.wgrz.com/article/sports/nfl/future-of-the-bills/what-are-psls-personal-seat-license-and-what-does-that-mean-to-bills-fans-nfl-buffalo/71-aef57364-757f-4153-af79-2838d5112b7c Seating licenses are supposed to be a one time up front fee that you pay before you can purchase season tickets and then you “own” the license as long as you keep buying season tickets each year. You can also resell the license. Here is the company that sells/handles PSA’s for most pro teams: https://www.pslsource.com/buy_nfl_psl i don’t see any option to buy/sell Buffalo Bills PSL’s. Here are the other sites where you can buy/sell PSL’s: https://www.strmarketplace.com http://www.seatdibs.com/Buy-A-PSL-Seat-License.html The Bills aren’t listed on any of them. Here is a list of all teams with PSL fees: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_seat_license#National_Football_League

Meh, whatever. I never thought he was coming back to Buffalo. I think there are other veteran corners available who are a better fit anyway.

New Bills stadium deal is bad for taxpayers, according to Yahoo!
BillsFan4 replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall
From the headline of the article I thought this guy actually studied the details of the deal but clearly he hasn’t if he doesn’t even know that the state is no longer responsible for maintenance costs. Or game day operating costs (like they were before). It looks like it’s just a lazily written article that just rehashes all the same old generic arguments against taxpayer funded stadiums without actually looking at any of the details of this particular deal. https://www.wkbw.com/news/local-news/poloncarz-erie-county-no-longer-in-the-football-business -
I think you misunderstood me. I know PSLs pay back the Pegulas portion of the money. That’s my whole issue with it. I was saying that taxpayers are already contributing $850 million. They should not have to contribute another $50+ million in PSL fees to help pay for the Pegulas small portion of the stadium funding (well, small relative to the overall cost). Taxpayers are already footing enough of the cost. And they’ll foot even more of it with the increased prices they pay for everything at the new stadium (tickets, parking, concessions, etc).

I totally get that they could move the team and make a LOT more money in a bigger market, and I definitely appreciate that they kept the team here. and I like the Pegulas as owners. They’ve done a lot for Buffalo and spent a lot of their own money on the Bills/Sabres in order to try and win + make Buffalo more of a destination. I still think we are lucky to have them. Even the Sabres! 😂 Again, I just don’t like PSL’s. For any team. I’ve thought they were somewhat of a scam ever since they were introduced. Now, if they were optional as a way to get more perks, that would be different. But as they work now, I think they are kind of preying on passionate sports fans. They know they have a monopoly and they take advantage of that. I think it’s kind of BS that NY is going to own the stadium, being built mostly with taxpayer dollars, yet NY residents can’t buy the same season tickets they used to without paying this large fee directly to the Pegulas (who don’t even own the stadium). I guess I just feel that fans kind of already paid for the right to buy tickets to the stadium they are mostly funding. And I also feel like you’re already paying for the right to that seat when you buy season tickets. anyway… I don’t want it to sound like I’m not happy about this new stadium, because I am. I’m very happy the Bills will be in Buffalo probably for the rest of my life now (or most of it).
-
And you can shop at both for free online. The point was that there are no other options for season ticket holders. Either pay whatever the Pegulas decide t9 charge for PSL’s or you can’t buy season tickets at all.
