  1. That Tops is maybe 10 minutes from my house. I’ve shopped there. I have friends and family who shop there. To say this hits close to home is an understatement. Reading this kid’s manifesto makes me feel sick. It also makes me so very angry, especially considering I’ve heard some of the same exact things on a very popular nightly segment on a major news network. I’ll leave it there…😡🤬 😢 I am so heart broken for all of the families suffering tonight because of this senseless tragedy. I feel so helpless. You read about these damn mass shootings what seems like weekly, or even daily. But nothing ever changes. It’s just “thoughts & prayers” and onto the next one. I don’t know what the answer is. But it’s certainly not “let’s continue to do nothing”.
  2. Mike Leach sounds… unique. https://theathletic.com/1138379/2019/08/15/what-the-is-going-on-right-now-inside-mike-leachs-qb-meetings/ (athletic subscription required) wow.
  3. Couple really exciting games so far tonight (Was/FL & NYR/Pit). Reinhart with a great goal to tie the game at 3.
  4. Sabres picking 9th and 16th. They officially get the VGK 1st (#16) I’m happy with that. I would’ve been so aggravated if the VGK won a lottery pick with their 0.5% odds. I’ve seen some Sabres fans on social media saying that they wanted VGK to win so we could have an unprotected 1st next year but I disagree. I’d much rather take the guaranteed #16 pick this year. It’s already better than I expected it to be. Plus now we can put the Eichel saga behind us. This draft looks like it has really nice depth. Buffalo should get a chance to draft 2 really good players with those 2 picks, and even with Florida’s late 1st and their own 2nd. Excited to see what they do!
  5. I’d love to see Buffalo win one of the top 2 picks with their own #9 pick but I’ll be happy if they at least just keep their current draft position at #9 and #16.
  6. I’m actually happy to read this. I was worried about him joining Miami’s ownership group and/or front office. I’ve been watching that “Man in the Arena” series and I have been impressed by Brady. I know we’re not allowed to say that as Bills fans but I’m just being honest. I think he could have really helped a team like the dolphins if he joined them. Hate him all you want but he’s probably the most successful QB to ever play the game. That doesn’t happen by accident, and it’s not from cheating as so many like to write it off as. I’d much rather have him in the booth calling games than helping an AFCE rival get better.
  7. I don’t get why people are so down on this hire. He’s replacing Dennis Hickey, who people seemed to like and were excited when Buffalo hired him. But I don’t really see where his previous teams were any better than Bazergin’s before joining Buffalo. Hickey worked for Tampa Bay for 9 years and they missed the playoffs all but 1 year he was there (or was it 2?). Then he was the Dolphins GM from 2014-15, was fired and was out of the NFL until hired by the Bills in 2017. If Beane thought this was a good hire for Buffalo I’ll trust him. He’s given me no reason not to so far.
  8. damn. If Buffalo needed a coach I’d have been all about Trotz. No way they even think about firing Granato though, nor should they. I just hope he doesn’t end up in our division. Go out west please!
  9. The issue with those boxes is if/when that company goes out of business (again) or the iptv service gets shut down you’ll have to buy a new box. You usually seem to at least get a couple years out of them from the people I know who have tried them. IMO if you want to use IPTV just buy a fire stick for $30 and install it yourself. It’s super easy to do. Then when it inevitably gets shut down you can just install a new iptv service. It’s much cheaper this way too. $300+ for those boxes is a rip off, especially considering the crappy specs of the boxes.
  10. My cousin has been using eye stream tv for years now and he swears by it.
  11. I love seeing Sabres teammates at the game!
  12. It seemed like an unnecessary statement to say he won’t mentor Willis. But he’s far from the first QB to say it. I think it’s telling that the team didn’t even give Tannehill a heads up on the AJ Brown trade.
  13. It’s funny, the playoff game I was least looking forward to last night ended up being the most exciting by far (LA vs. Edmonton). Boston/Carolina was close for a bit, but otherwise all the other games were kind of blow outs.
  14. Just a heads up for anyone interested. Kevyn Adams and Don Granato are meeting with the media for their year end PC at 11am today. edit - link: Granato up 1st Kevyn Adams:
  15. It was reported on WGR that he’s giving Cody Ford a clean slate. He feels Ford has a ton of potential and he thinks he can fix him. I’m anxious to see what he can do.
  16. If Mayfield was there at 7, then yes I definitely think the Bills take him if Allen was gone. But if he goes #1 and someone else trades up for Allen, from what I’ve read Mason Rudolph would have been the QB they drafted (but hopefully not in the 1st!).
  17. I think quite a bit of that info came from Joe Schoen as well.
  18. Looks like we were both creating our threads at almost exactly the same time! Within 1 minute of each other. yours was first but it must’ve posted after I started creating this one because I did look + search before posting it 😂 Mods feel free to merge my thread with his. Me too! I’m thinking maybe a late 2nd? Browns gave the first pick of the 3rd round. or a 3rd + a player? 3rd + 5th/6th? Id also like to know why the trade with Green Bay for #22 fell apart.
  19. https://www.ballysports.com/national/news/brandon-beane-s-lasting-formula-to-build-a-champion-in-buffalo really good read. Thought this was interesting ⬆️ also, they had Allen at #1 and Mayfield at #2 Lots of interesting little tidbits from Schoen
  20. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/nhl-playoff-tv-schedule-2022-espn-abc-tnt-tbs-hulu-streaming/ NHL playoff TV schedule. Games start tonight!! There are some good first round matchups. I’m actually looking forward to most of them.
  21. Agreed. And that’s possibly the most important thing. How will the players be used? How good is the coaching staff at developing, and at putting them in positions to succeed? What is the culture like in the building? How do the players fit into it? Is the culture strong enough to keep highly drafted rookies with strong personalities in check? Do the vets make sure the young guys are practicing/training right? There are just so many different variables. I look at the draft class of the Jets, for example, and it’s clear they added talent. But how will that talent mesh to make a team? I see a # of strong personalities (like all 3 of their 1st round picks). Do they have the cu,true in place to properly develop these guys? I’m not so sure.
  22. Official!! awesome! Great experience for Krebs, Samuelsson, UPL, Fitzgerald, Peterka, Quinn (etc). I really didn’t think they would make it. All Toronto needed was 1 point in their last 2 games.
