  1. It was reported that Tom Golisano put a no-move provision in the sale of the Sabres. https://www.espn.com/nhl/news/story?id=6087856 not sure if that applies to future owners too, but if not I don’t see why the Pegulas couldn’t make it a provision of the sale like Golisano did. I also don’t know if Gary Bettman would let the Sabres leave Buffalo anyway. Say what you want about him but he shows true loyalty to NHL markets. He’s already fought for the Sabres to stay in Buffalo. If not for him they would’ve been relocated after the bankruptcy (I was pissed when Buffalo fans booed him at the 2015 draft in Buffalo). He won’t even allow the Coyotes to leave Arizona despite their attendance issues and not having an NHL arena to play in starting next season. They’ll be playing in a 2000 seat state college arena.
  2. If I was a cardinals fan I’d be legitimately worried that this kid’s ego/personality is going to get in the way of his development and limit his ceiling as a QB.
  3. Boy, it’s a good thing Botterill just willingly gave up this kid’s draft rights instead of signing him to an entry level deal, huh? All t would’ve cost was a contract spot. Not like we need good players we drafted or anything. 😡🤬 Botterill was pretty terrible. But part of the issue is also all the turnover in the front office and scouting staff.
  4. I know fans like to blame Kim Pegula because she’s the team president but I’ve never seen any evidence that Kim is involved in making any hockey decisions. Terry, on the other hand, seems very involved in the hockey ops. He’s the one that sits in every scouting + free agent meeting and gives his opinion. I think Terry is a bigger issue than Kim. But Both just need to stay out of the decision making for the Sabres IMO.
  5. Dorsey was given the offensive pass game coordinator title a year before he was promoted to OC. This makes me think that Butler (not Washington) would be in line to take over for Leslie Frazier if he gets a HCing job, or the Bills decide to move on.
  6. Just the one I included in the last post. I think It was mainly just talked about by random people on bills Twitter right after the draft. iirc (it was a long time ago…lol) I think it ended up being just a fake photoshopped tweet or something. Like you said, it would’ve been talked about more if it was real.
  7. https://terezowens.com/if-i-ever-get-drafted-by-the-bills-fcking-kill-me-josh-allen/ it was talked about like 4 years ago. Don’t know if it’s real or not though.
  8. I thought Buffalo played a heck of a game against Colorado. They went blow for blow with the AVS all game and were in it till the end. Our young talent was really on full display today. A lot of the young guys had good games today. It was 3-3 in the third until this play: Dahlin was hit in the face with a stick then basically shoved to the ice by his face, and Colorado scored on an odd man break while Dahlin was laying on the ice. The play should’ve been blown dead and Buffalo given a power play. Despite losing, It was a Really exciting high paced offensive hockey game. Fun to watch! Sign me up for more of this style/pace.
  9. Enjoy your retirement Bob, and thanks for bringing Jordan Poyer to Buffalo! edit: oops, I take that thanks back. It was your son Bobby Babich that told McDermott about Jordan poyer… lol https://www.buffalobills.com/news/familiarity-with-poyer-landed-bills-a-free-agent-steal-19408157
  10. It was an interesting read but I’m skeptical about some of the claims. It seems like more of a hit piece against Bienemy than anything else. Like Bienemy not taking any player feedback and calling plays without input. We literally saw the players have input on the play calling in that Travis Kelce mic-ed up video against the Bills in the playoffs. Kelce gave coaches input on the sidelines + Mahomes out on the field and it resulted in the chiefs tying the game with 13 seconds left.
  11. It’s sad to see this. Such an undeserving fan base… Can you imagine what the Cincinnati SB parade would have been like? I bet we would’ve seen a celebration similar to what I’d expect if Buffalo won it.
  12. Yeah he didn’t really take any big hits though. The concern about the ADR surgery was how it would hold up over time and how it would react to awkward collisions and big open ice hits (etc). Anyway... he looked rusty. You saw flashes of the Eichel we know but it’s obviously going to take him some time to get back into game shape. It’s also going to take him some time to get used to the pace LV plays with/at. 2 great games on TNT yesterday back to back. did you see Reinhart’s game tying goal? What a beauty! I don’t mind rooting for Reinhart. He left the proper way. Eichel can go **** himself.
  13. No. Not at all. I am actually more interested in the NFL because the Bills are finally actual legit super bowl contenders. I have lost interest in the NHL though and am still having trouble regaining interest. Maybe if the Sabres ever start winning again...
  14. https://www.bleachernation.com/blackhawks/2022/02/14/report-blackhawks-have-received-big-offers-for-brandon-hagel-but-dont-want-to-trade-him/ REPORT: Blackhawks Have Received Big Offers for Brandon Hagel, But Don’t Want to Trade Him Hagel is tearing it up this season. He was a 6th round pick of the Sabres in 2016 under Tim Murray (he hit on a few late picks). Jason Botterill didn’t sign him and we lost his rights. Its amazing how many mistakes this franchise has made over the last 10 years. also: https://nhl.nbcsports.com/2022/02/14/jack-eichel-to-make-vegas-golden-knights-debut-wednesday-vs-colorado-avalanche/ ‘Jack Eichel to make Golden Knights debut Wednesday vs. Avalanche’ 🖕
  15. Yeah the sound mix SUCKED! I have a large home theater system (7.1.2) and it was very noticeable to me. I cranked the volume way up and it still sounded like crap. I don’t know why it was mixed to be so quiet/lacking dynamics.
  16. Really enjoyed this halftime show but I do kind of wish they would’ve went with a different song selection. Eminem, Snoop and Dre all have songs I would’ve rather heard than the ones they chose.
  17. You could literally say that every single year. Not true. I know plenty of people who can’t stand country music, including myself. It’s actually one of the only genres of music I don’t/won’t listen to.
  18. I think the Bengals could actually pull this off. Rams just don’t look the same since OBJ went out and the bengals seem to have the momentum right now. not overly impressed with McVay’s play calling either.
  19. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/13/postseason-overtime-rules-could-change-guaranteeing-one-possession-for-each-team/ Postseason overtime rules could change, guaranteeing one possession for each team
  20. Did anyone watch his opening press conference? 🤷‍♂️
  21. I’d be surprised if he actually walked away. I can respect wanting to spend more time with your family but he doesn’t have a family yet. His wife isn’t even pregnant afaik?
  22. I don’t know. I see a much different vibe than last year. If Dahlin is just saying nice things why wasn’t he saying this stuff last year? Or the year before? I agree on your comments about the city not being excited. Krebs was assigned to Rochester during the all star break to get games in. They recalled him yesterday. Granato is doing more with much less than his predecessors. He has a better points percentage than last year’s team with FAR less talent + 1/2 the team on the injured list. Im far from satisfied with the win/loss % but everyone knew this was a tear down year. I don’t know that any coach could win with this roster. I don’t think the answer to the Sabres problems is to change coaches. They’ve changed coaches every couple years since firing Ruff. It’s time to actually stick with a plan for once and see it through. That’s been another issue IMO. They’re constantly changing directions. You can’t keep changing the vision every 2-3 years and ever expect to build anything. This isn’t the NFL where you can turn over a roster in a season or two. I think both Adams and Granato have done enough to get the time to implement their plans. I’d like to see both get at least 3 more years. I obviously expect to see progress during that time.
  23. I feel like this is just another guy that was hired to be fired by houston. I hope I’m wrong and he gets a legitimate opportunity to succeed.
