ROCKPILE REVIEW - FInding Ways to Win
Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The season so far almost reminds me of a video game with Allen at the controls where the bosses keep getting tougher level by level. One more level to clear before Buffalo plays the big boss. MERCY!!! -
Anyone Else Having Trouble Dealing with this Success?
Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For many years when things started going wrong for the Bills in a game it had a domino effect that more often then not ended in a loss. I've always had pride in how hard the Bills would fight to the bitter end. I suppose you could say the never give up and never say die attitude was the culture the Buffalo Bills have built for themselves over the last 2 decades. Then along comes McD and the process. As noble as Buffalo's culture was McD wanted more. So McD started the process. I think changing of a culture starts at the top and works its way from the inside out. For us to believe the coaches and players had to believe 1st. Long lasting culture change is a hard nut to crack in my humble opinion. Still, Its happening now, as I finish this post. Do you Billieve!!! -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - FInding Ways to Win

It was interesting to see how well B B could stop Mahomes and the Chiefs last night. I'm of the opinion had Cam Newton been able to play the Pats probably win the game. Great thing about brilliant coaches is they help pave the way for the rest of the league IMO. Its not going to be easy, but Mahomes and Co. can be beat... -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - FInding Ways to Win

Always an upside to gaining more yards IMO. Easier kick for our kicker that missed an extra point. 1st down, TD. I get your point OP, my characterization of the mistake is just a little different. Clearly getting sacked was not Allens intention. -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - FInding Ways to Win

I get it, I was upset myself. I guess my point is do we want to take away to much from what comes natural to Allen on the playing field? The play dragged out, but the tackle was bang, bang, and probably caught Allen off guard a little IMO. Boneheaded would be to fumble or throw a pic 6 in my humble opinion OP. I just don't think intellect had much to do with the sack. Oppositions D made a great play. -

A hot handed Fitzmagic can be a handful of bearded fury for most D IMO. -

I think both the Rams and Raiders are tough teams to defend against. Its not getting any easier... -

Norman made a difference today. As the Bills evolve into an explosive high scoring O its possible the Bills D will slip some in the stats as desperation mounts with the opposition. Oddly enough, generally speaking around the NFL Offensive units appear to be a little ahead of the leagues D's IMO. -
Should Gruden Get a One Game Suspension?

Put it in the post game thread my friend -
Not having the 12th man I think might be playing a small part in a very competitive 4 game start to the NFL season IMO. Leads seem a little tougher to hold for much of the NFL this season IMO.

Still, as good as Allen is playing these are the kinds of mistakes that can come back to haunt you. Josh Allen knows as much and is probably as frustrated as the fans are IMO. Play by play frustrations are going to be passed on to the Game thread and should be expected IMO. The same way you would probably hear frustrations bubble over in anywhere you are watching with other people. I'm not one to complain, but I get it. Its all good... Bills fans just aren't used to winning games this way.. Josh Allen and the Bills high powered Offense!!! Say what?!?! -
Myself personally, I think the running ability of Lamar Jackson is elite. Combined with a good throwing arm IMO.( I didn' t say great) Jackson has an ability to extend and make plays other more traditional pocket QB's can't IMO. The more I watch Lamar Jackson the more I like what I see...
-
I love how Allen is trending upward In Lamar Jacksons case an indication the run 1st O of Greg Romans is not going as planned is a higher then normal pass attempts by Jackson IMO. Almost 50 50 in what in all likelihood was a come from behind or shoot out is really not that bad for the multi talented signal caller IMO. Need we not forget football is a team sport. 17 and 1 is impressive regardless of how you got there IMO. To some extent Jackson has been exposed to the work still needed in the passing game. The Ravens choice of OC might have something to do with it IMO.

It worked well, lol

McD McD McD McD McD Jackpot!!!

Its a logical definition of a franchise QB that needed a more lengthy explanation to accomplish properly in my humble opinion. Best description to date that I've seen ...

I enjoy a good read, Well done...

I agree, Unlike an ex wife this mistake stays with you forever. ( felony )
-
ex-felon is a convicted felon who has served his or her sentence. According to my google home, hehe Sounds past tense like an ex wife. I suppose its a way to distinguish between someone who has payed their debt to society vs a felon who has not IMO. I nice way to say convicted felon that might make some people overlook the messenger to concentrate more on his message perhaps.

Atleast not in a Greg Roman O, he's not.

Treating off topic responses the harshest seems a bit harsh don't you think? Its to easy for a poster to stray off topic without meaning to disrupt the thread IMO. We could be talking about Oline /thread then have the conversation shift to RB's or WR's. All related in the grand scheme of things. I mean I get it, don't take over the whole thread with something unrelated, but the waters get a little murky with off topic responses placing an added burden on moderation IMO. Normally posters will acknowlede going off topic with the OP. But hey, thats just me Good point IMO. I also think moderation is, and always has been very good here on TBD. Coming from someone who has faced the harshest of punishments. The more you try to pin down every infraction with an exact measurement of punishment the less flexibilty mod/admin has at keeping the overall peace in the online community in my humble opinion.

Fitzpatrick says his favorite NFL city is ... Buffalo
Figster replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Fitzy could continue an NFL career in coaching. Who knows, perhaps one day Fitzy will return to Buffalo... -
While Jacksons career is far from over it does appear more and more the Buffalo Bills drafted the best QB in the 2018 draft.
