This just in, good / great football teams make plays. The opposition on the other hand looks bad. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle in Edmunds and Milano. (Love them both) Myself personally, Buffalo has faced some very talented offensive power houses in the run and passing game. Some of the best offensive teams in football IMO. Building up to the climax today.

Made a good throw for a 1st down granted it was in garbage time. Nice way to get your feet wet...

Week 6 Chiefs at Bills predict the score.

31 - 26 Bills victory -
Like I say, the league average of converting the 2 points is 47% If memory serves me. The better the oppositions Dline the harder it gets. I'm not totally hating the call, but its not something I would have done. As it was Tannehill had to be perfect which albeit, he was, and it still came down to the wire. Perhaps I'm foolish for thinking this way, but showing some faith in your players on D might inspire them to play better in circumstances like the Texans faced today in my humble opinion.
-
Good decision on a less then 50% conversion rate made even tougher by the stout Titans D? I respectfully disagree. Its all good...
-
Texans outscored the Titans 36 to 22 from the 2nd quarter on and held the Titans scoreless in the 3rd quarter. Myself personally, we must have watched a different 58 minutes of football. Bad decision and it backfired IMO.
-
Do you realize by missing the 2 point conversion you just made it even harder for the D your calling bad?
-
does You go up by 8 and force the 2 point conversion IMO. If you believe in momentum shifts you just lost some on the missed 2 point conversion. Its also basically telling your teams D you have very little faith in them.

After a Big Bills Loss - Do You Avoid Internet/Media?
Figster replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Depends on the loss. If Buffalo gets shoved around and man handled I can go into a a shell and not even want to think about football. Nationally media tends to gloat on Buffalo's misfortune more often then not IMO. If its a real close loss its more easier to bare for me normally. -
True that on how all teams have a league impact. Mind If I ask why one "Around the NFL" main topic would not work well for you? With false positives and everything else I'm sure everyone could understand why starting a new thread every time there's an incident becomes a bit excessive on the board IMO.

Always interested to hear your take Hapless. I think these are the kind of games that will better prepare Allen and the Bills for a more productive playoff run IMO. KC coming up, the same thing. Two teams Buffalo has a good chance of meeting up with again. Two of the best teams in football IMO. Allen was a little off most of the day, just enough to make the difference. On a day he had to be sharp along with the supporting cast around him. I'm not happy with the circumstances leading up to the game and can understand how all the scheduling questions with KC and the Titans may have played a part in the teams performance. Thanks again Hapless

I feel about the same way. The upcoming opponent part of it gets more tricky. Seeing TSW front page littered with Covid 19 threads is what I hate to see so anything that cuts down on TSW covid threads works for me. I realize its a big part of the picture and some people would like to keep track of whats going on around the league and up coming opponents. I get it. So having a couple of threads is better then numerous thread starts without any control IMO.

Le'Veon Bell signs with Kansas City

Myself personally, Buffalo has become a very attractive landing spot for star players IMO. As attractive as KC, probably not, but close. Get er done Beane man. -
Josh Allen needs to run the ball more
Figster replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Preservation, and perhaps a little of not fumbling the football. Something our opposition had apparently started honing in on IMO. It would not surprise me If the decision came from the top my OldTime friend. -
I don't like to make excuses, but when you take Milano and Tre White out of the equation the Buffalo Bills are not the same football team. Arguably our two MVP's on D IMO. Facing one of the best teams in the NFL. If Buffalo's O does what it has been doing we're not even discussing this IMO. Losing the turnover battle kills you...

Josh Allen needs to run the ball more
Figster replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think in general the Bills have been moving the football down the field without a problem. Turnovers on the other hand tend to nullify any accomplishments in yardage. I think when you can run the ball effectively it provides a safer way to retain possession of the football and rest a tired D IMO. Josh Allen running the football does not help when it comes to turnovers IMO. I love how Daboll has turned the Buffalo Bills into a high powered passing attack. Just don't abandon having good run support. ( not JA) -

I'm not a fan of Josh Allen running the ball more to fix our rushing attack. -
Tonight exposed again we need a no1 back
Figster replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A Big bruiser like Derrick Henry can make an average run blocking Oline look good IMO. I agree with OP to an extent. Its not that I don't think Singletary should be the featured back. I believe a big down hill runner is needed to complete the 1, 2 punch IMO. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Midseason Meltdown
Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hi Muppy, I hope all is well. Myself Personally, what has always made the New England Patriots such a hard team to play is the abilty to play smash mouth football with the best of them. Good run game opens up the pass more IMO. The Buffalo Bills do not need to abandon the run because we have a big armed franchise QB in my humble opinion. Running the ball well helps rest the D and gives the Oline a chance to go on the offensive. Godspeed into the future my friend... -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Midseason Meltdown
Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To McD's credit, the team normally bounces back well. On the other hand Mahomes and Co. are having thoughts of bouncing back also... ...something has to give... Somethings gone a rye, someones run a muck. Like to get away, but I think we're stuck... -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Midseason Meltdown

Good analogy, Hadn't really pictured the Bills as a speed, finesse team and that is what we have become. Interesting...
