  1. Followed Mack at the college level naturally and he's another dream player in a Bills uni of mine.
  2. lol, NooooooOOOOOOOooo I would however give a 1st and McCarron (or Peterman) for Mack
  3. Shaking off the rust was probably to be expected by the Bills coaching staff. Seemed like there came a point in the game where McCarron gave way to that gunslinger mentality he keeps locked up so well (thanks to Saban) and started cutting it loose.
  4. It wasn't meaningless for all them kids out there fighting for a chance to play in the NFL. I would like to think A J may have helped a few fellow teamates out with a great albeit 4th preseason game comeback. Other GM's will be looking at this game...
  5. Being a bama/McCarron fan made the comeback extra special. A J playing for Buffalo has been a dream of mine for a few years now. Was the comeback enough to make the team? I hope it was, and watching McCarron on the sidelines at times during the preseason conversing with Allen gives the impression the relationship between them from a mentoring standpoint would be a good one. I'm not sure Peterman could offer the same kind guidance with so little experience. If I'm McD and based partly on the shaky 1 string Oline, I'm keeping a plan A, B, and C at the QB position. Peterman for the start, see where it goes...
  6. The one main ingredient Buffalo was missing when it comes to making the playoffs had more to do with the QB position then anything IMO. To say Buffalo led the NFL before in sacks yet failed to make the playoffs like it was a waste of time doesn't make much sense in my humble opinion. Both Beane and McD do know what their doing and although Mack may never play in Buffalo the Bills still showed interest knowing he wouldn't come cheap.
  7. thanks for the reply, If I remember correctly Schwartz had a top 5 D in Buffalo which both Mario and Marcel played a big part in. funny what coaching/systems can do for players Bright new shiny toy, or Mack truck? If McD/ Beane show a genuine interest then its probably not going to hurt the process on so many levels IMO. with all due respect
  8. To me a player like Mack exemplifies what you want out of your teams D, much like McCoy does on Offense. While other players around them may never reach same heights, elite players help elevate the units as a whole to higher levels IMO.
  9. McD and the big Mack attack Match made in football heaven...
  10. Like ap posted earlier... the asking price is probably set a little higher then what the Raiders may actually settle for...but who knows...
  11. I Understand where your coming from. Buffalo has shown interest though and I"m sure Beane realized ahead of time Mack wouldn't come cheap. Two 1st, probably not, but I could see Beane offering 1st & 3rd ( or Peterman)
  12. If you care about winning elite players are very beneficial to the process in my humble opinion. We need a pass rush...
  13. I thought for sure Buffalo had traded up for Mack When you take into consideration how many 1st round draft choices that don't pan out. Trading 2 complete unknowns for an elite game changer in his prime would not be out of the question in my humble opinion. Would the big Mack boost ticket sales? Or media coverage? National attention? scare Mrs Brady? yes, yes, yes, and hell yes Good posting ap...
  14. unlikely, McD and the big Mack attack ...
  15. Explain the error of my ways then What Mack is worth is debatable without the insults, no?
  16. You could compare Buffalo's 1st round selection for the next 10 years and still not reach the caliber player Mack has turned out to be IMO. The way I look at it a high 1st round draft choice would be needed to even come close, higher then Buffalo normally drafts. So to me the deal is costing Buffalo one 1st rounder and Mack cancels out the other. I say yes, get er done Mr. Beane man
  17. Myself personally transplant, and pure speculation mind you on my part. I think McD had already made his mind up about how he wanted Allens development to go and it doesn't include opening up the season against the Ravens. Preseason game 3 was a good example why...
  18. Do you think a player like Ray Lewis could change the outcome of a game? Bills fans have personally watched him do it to us. I'm not talking about one preseason game that means very little in the grand scheme of things. In general teams that have a good D can win football games taking less chances on Offense making it better proving grounds for young QB prospects in my humble opinion Cornette.
  19. On the other hand playing with a lead (good D) vs playing from behind helps give a more conservative approach to an OC's game plan in my humble opinion. So I can see Mack being beneficial for both sides of the football including a young QB in development IMO. Mack would help Allen shoulder the weight of the franchise...
  20. Sammy , Marcel for peanuts, it got my attention...
  21. Big Ben went 18 - 31 229 yards in rainy conditions. McCarron brought the team back from 15 - 0 down with 16 unanswered points in the 4th quarter that should have sealed the win.
  22. McCarron can make all the throws. Peterman has limitations IMO.
  23. A J had the game won , but the D couldn't close the deal if I remember correctly.
