So who is making these swift adjustments? The OC and DC without the HC approval? I don't think so, shall we take a timeout to discuss it among coaches? probably not
-
Belichick and Saban at the college level might be an exception to the rule. Don't you think the athletes themselves may need time to adjust to what the oppositon is trying to do, weather, field conditions, before scrapping anything? Maybe its just me , but when you start scrapping your game plan at the 1st sign of resistance players might lose confidence in what their doing on the football field in my humble opinion. Especially at the college level. Good discussion OP

Good post, makes for an interesting discussion The reason I agree with the coaches response of doing more harm then good sometimes is because you build much of your original game plan based on your own team strengths in my humble opinion. I'll use Buffalo as an example. The Bills with Taylor behind center was a run 1st O because its what they did well. Throwing the football, not so much and now by changing the Bills gameplan early on stopping the run, its also playing into Buffalo's weakness. Dictated by the opposition in just a couple of series that wants Buffalo to try beating them throwing the football. with all due respect sir,

Myself personally, Halftime is a better time to regroup IMO, give your original game planning a chance to work...

If AJ McCarron plays great

McCarron may play well enough to make the QB position in Buffalo very interesting to say the least in my humble opinion. Myself personally, the one two punch might go McCarron /Allen for a few years... ...which is probably the best case scenario for all concerned... ...my OldTime friend... ...I'm just saying... -
Every Josh Allen TD pass in 2016/2017

J K was not shy when it came to fitting footballs into small windows because he could, throw a couple INT's, come back with 3 TD's D did their job... ...Loved it... -

Throwing across his body on the run at high velocity, Good percentage of Allens TD's thrown while under pressure/scrambling reminiscent of Big Ben. MERCY -

We all argue about who should start until the sun comes up everyday, but we'll probably do that anyway... -

Myself personally, A J McCarron is an important factor in how well Josh Allen acclimates to the NFL. Having many of the same attributes excluding arm strength McCarron's game management skills will make for a good example in my humble opinion. Best case scenario is for J Allen to stand on the sidelines for a few seasons watching McCarron play great IMO. Win, win situation... -
Myself personally, most TBD patrons that frequent the board treat other posters with the same amount of respect thats given regardless of what teams they root for in my humble opinion. Ice bowl 67 has been a respected member of more then one Bills forum for years. (BBMB) ...because he's a class act... ...I loved our draft ice...

Anybody else have faith in AJ Mccarron?

Going on close to two decades I think Bills fans just want a good QB in my humble opinion. Obsessed? you could say that... -

I think A J McCarron is going to make Josh Allen work his ass off If he ever wants to see the playing field. Good mentor for Allen in my humble opinion. -
What accuracy problems, lol
-
no its not everything, but good to have in your arsenal my friend, Allen could take a defenders head off with that kind of velocity... ...that'll teach em...
-
The accuracy part of the conversation was very interesting. I can't get over the 72 mph Allen is getting on some of his throws. thats unheard of, and he drops back on his own 7 yard line at the combine and rings his target at the opponents 24 are you friggin kidding me... ...good grief...

Peterman can back A J up so Allen doesn't get thrown into the fire
-
The good thing is McCarron and Peterman give Buffalo the luxury of bringing along Allen at a slow pace. I also think A J McCarrons foot work and game management skills are a good example because they are somewhat similiar in size and athleticism in my humble opinion.
-
Good stuff Almost deserves its own thread because every Bills fan should see it IMO. Strongest arm ever, EVER, we need to harness that strength...
-
Buffalo is a hard place to play when it comes to harsh weather conditions. I don't think Rosen is built to handle it IMO. Josh Allen from a size, arm strength, and intelligence perspective really is a great fit for what McD and company are trying to accomplish in my humble opinion. Could the Pegula's have influenced the decision? absolutely, but make no mistake , the Bills HC preaches smart and smart is what he gets with J Allen.

70 mph? WOW, wind? what wind? Superman...
