  1. Amen and period to that John
  2. Awwww shucks, hate it when that happens...
  3. Jim machine gun Kelly was also of the gunslinger mold IMO.
  4. Allen is fearless when it comes to making any throw. I'm not hating it...
  5. The new coaching/ O installation along with the Oline reconstruction would make starting Josh Allen early on risky business in my humble opinion 26. Young QB's with sub par protection are more likely to develop bad habits IMO.
  6. Do you honestly think TC or preseason against vanilla Defenses is going to give Buffalo anything concrete to base an opinion?
  7. This helps make my point. Being a huge fan of the QB position and now our very own possible future superstar of the league in development my biggest concern is how well can we prepare, protect and support him which are 3 big question marks at this point IMO.
  8. Myself personally, I don't see Allen even in the mix to start day one of the regular season because regardless of what happens during TC and pre season live action in the regular season is impossible to duplicate. Different circumstances when Peterman was given his 1st chance to start whom is a very fast study and was still given TC, pre season and a good part of the regular season to learn a new O. Pure speculation, but its not happening in my humble opinion.
  9. The question may have come up between Allen and the coaching staff already IMO. Myself personally, If I'm HC McD I want Peterman and McCarron helping in Josh Allens development not competing against him. The only way to do that would be to eliminate Allen from the QB competition at this point IMO.
  10. The highest wonderlic score out of the QB class. The strongest arm out of the QB class. ( may have the strongest arm the NFL has ever seen) Big, athletic, courageous, calm under pressure. Shows good leadership abilities. Wins football games. Looked good with better talent around him at the Senior bowl. Sure it was a gamble, a roll of the dice, but If Buffalo wants to end the search for a franchise QB these are the kind of chances a team has to take IMO. There's allot to like about this kid in my humble opinion.
  11. The quality of a QB/teams Defense is a variable that plays a big part in everything the team does on Offense in my humble opinion. At the college level for instance and I'll use Alabama by way of example. It probably wouldn't matter how good the QB that starts for the tide looks in every possible category because when all is said and done he's a product of the system/s. Playing with a lead vs coming from behind changes how a QB and teams O operates and how the opposition defends them. Taylor played well with a lead, but not so well from behind when Buffalo was forced out of their comfort zone running the football.
  12. Hapless brings out the best in me.
  13. Nice post Hapless, guesswork anyone?
  14. So now my 80 year old mom has better access to Bills training camp notes then I do because I don't do friggin!#$@%#! facebook? How's Josh looking Ma?
  15. I don't mind the fire , but common sense might be telling me If I'm J A to watch how a more experienced QB like A J McCArron approaches the game of football at the NFL level and wait until the O as a unit is firing on all cylinders.
  16. sounds like Michael82 If I remember correctly, nothing beats Astro...
  17. true that, Josh Allen is a project in my humble opinion. A J McCarron on the other hand is not. Despite the question mark when it comes to a franchise QB I really like what the Buffalo Bills have done in an effort to upgrade the position.
  18. Old school vs new school, good summary, I like it. The NFL is an ever evolving, ever changing league IMO. Cam Newton with his low 19 wonderlic score and running skills wasn't supposed to succeed in the NFL. Russell Wilson because of a height disadvantage faced the same kind of scrutinty. Our very own T Mobile was a long shot to ever becoming a starter in the NFL and just took Buffalo to the playoffs for the first time in 17 years. The mold at QB position is made to be broken...
  19. What are the odds of a 6th round QB becoming the best signal caller the league has ever seen. Or a guy like Kurt Warner is bagging groceries one minute yet goes on to win a championship. I could care less about the odds... with all due respect Biscuit
  20. So you admit most 1st round QB's fail. Perhaps that should be telling us the way college QB's are being evaluated is not very reliable.
  21. It wouldn't surprise me if the list of college QB's that had a higher completion percentage and some of the best overall stats a man could ask for yet still failed to succeed in the NFL is bigger and much more impressive. Many QB's at the college level play in O systems that utilizes a high number of dump offs, bubble screens ect. making it more difficult to gauge the young signal callers potential at the pro level in my humble opinion. Josh Allen has all the tools it takes and then some IMO.
  22. The last time the Saints came marching in we got our butts whipped is why I find them offensive.
  23. Been there muppy, done that, still have a T E jersey packed away somewhere...
