  1. Let me bump this post up for you Captain so we' re not trying to judge McCarron over a few quarters of preseason football with a rusty QB who was probably playing at 80% (IMO) coming off an injury.
  2. with a 93. 6 QB rating, 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio and a 64. 7 completion % Nothing to write home to mom about, but as you say, 11 games spread out over 3 seasons. Kids still developing. McCarron distinguished himself well in his 1st playoff appearance also in my humble opinion.
  3. well said buddy, I concur...
  4. Peterman has played very well.
  5. I think theres a 50/50 chance between A J and Nasty Nate
  6. Red and I were making our argument last night
  7. Yup, 3rd on the depth chart ( no, I'm not drunk transplant) Congrads to Ray Ray & A J
  8. ...common sense is not allowed in this discussion...
  9. As a coach I wouldn't want to base my decision of who starts on talent alone and we all know Josh Allen wins by a large margin. Easier way to put this so you guys aren't so confused, A J, guinea pig 1, Peterman guinea pig 2, before we risk Allen behind a sub par Oline thats just my opinion fellas
  10. Heres something else you might find funny laugh when you see Allen 3rd on the depth chart, lol
  11. Again, big fan of all 3 QB's With that being said Josh Allen is the future of the franchise and my biggest concern.
  12. I'll hang my hat on the regular season wins getting the Bengals to the playoffs or the 16 point come from behind taking the lead in his 1st playoff game that the Bengals D Bungled If its all the same to you BullBuchanan.
  13. If we want to talk college McCarron has 3 National Championships under his belt and faced the best of the best doing it. Allen faced the Browns 2's working behind the Bills starting unit... Pure speculation by fans that A J McCarron is not being considered for the start IMO. Luckily for me I'm one of the few posters that likes all our guys and want them all to succeed.
  14. You do realize I hope McCarron was coming back from an injury, rusty, and has already proven he can win football games at the NFL level. Allen and Peterman haven't proven squat...
  15. For the record nobody is jumping off of the bandwagon. The more football savvy posters that frequent this forum don't want to see the future of the franchise ruined or injured. Trust me when I say we have seen it all. The problem I have is teaching Allen bad mechanics because the BIlls Oline isn't giving him enough time and space for good mechanics. Worse, season ending injury. Allen almost excited his last game start with a concussion. In my opinion McD wanted Allen to get a real taste of what he would be facing during the regular season so started him in game 3. It didn't go well. Josh Allen is not ready in my humble opinion.
  16. 28 points and the win and you want to break it down in quarters, hahaha How is Allens last outing rated ? lol
  17. It might be the big guys way of telling you Buffalo is the place to be my friend. You would make a good Bills fan If you think about it. ; )
  18. Meanwhile McCarron led the team to 5 scoring drives ( 4 TD ) in one game for a dramatic come from behind win against the Bears which is even greater. Coach McD was asked after the game If McCarron was still being considered for the starting job and the answer was yes. The Great Debate III
  19. McCarron has started before and helped the Bengals reach the playoffs. McCarron basically did the same thing in his 1st ever playoff appearance as he did last night with 16 straight come from behind points. D couldn't close the deal. No game will ever be to big for A J McCarron IMO.
  20. You just gave a real good argument on why A J McCarron should start against the Ravens IMO. Peterman's confidence is growing and it would be nice to build on vs tear down in my humble opinion.
  21. Happy Birthday CGF, and Mrs Beerball while we're at it
  22. Myself personally , A J McCarron exemplified what McD wants from his players last night. Despite being the 4th preseason game I don't think McD or the rest of the Bills players took the come from behind win lightly in my humble opinion. It ended the preseason for the team on a high note. Its the kind of gritty play that wins over a locker room IMO red.
  23. How do you remember Reichs great comeback? someone had to look pathetic through a good part of the game to get so far behind right? How many times did we see J K stink the place up with multiple INT's then go on to throw multiple TD's for the win? playing with who? with how much time together to gel?
  24. The QB competition by way of the constant swapping of strings while fair in and of itself did not allow enough time to gel as units in my humble opinion. The way I look at it did Peterman mount a comeback when given the chance? no It may not have looked pretty shaking off the rust, but A J McCarron went on to score 4 TD's in one game. Couple more long balls should have been caught that would have led to more points IMO.
