  1. The Oline protection is an important factor in any QB's ability to execute, just like the coaching/ system and the supporting cast. All question marks that will stay question marks until the Bills face real competition in the regular season. You get that right? that its not just Allen? and young QB prospects can learn bad habits when they lack adequate protection? Or struggle when the supporting cast is also learning a new O?
  2. I can understand taking this point of view and there is an argument to be made the ability to release a football traveling at over 70 mph (with accuracy) when needed makes the offense as a unit better. The problem is training camp and preseason is not the place to get an accurate evaluation IMO.
  3. ... Then I'll say it for you... ...McCarron is the expendable "guinea pig"... ...Peterman... ...guinea pig number 2... (Myself personally, McCarron is going to be one tough guinea pig)
  4. The drop off in production would be expected when comparing a seasoned vet/ borderline franchise QB with any QB taking his 1st NFL snaps in a regular season game IMO. Point taken...
  5. and heres the thing Cowgirl, football is a game of split second read and react/ bang, bang plays so when you start manipulating the game in a way that causes hesitation in an athlete that is accustomed to doing what comes natual players get hurt in my humble opinion.
  6. Happy 93 B- Day coach !
  7. Equipment upgrades are a better solution IMO. New safer helmet designs are hitting the market. Flexible shock absorber could be used at the back of the helmet area connecting to the shoulder pads to help prevent neck injury IMO.
  8. thanks for taking the time to explain and the haha was more to do with the rule then your explanation.( removed)
  9. A J McCarron's ceiling is still unknown at the NFL level and his college achievements are as good If not better then every QB in the 2018 draft class in my humble opinion.
  10. By dropping your face do you mean just leaning forward because the more parallel to the ground a player becomes which happens on every play the more impossible it becomes to keep your head up. I'll ask again and its a simple question. How is a player suppossed to dive forward to make a tackle and keep your head up? You can't answer it because it can't be done just like theres not a thing a defender can do when he goes to make a tackle and the ball carrier adjusts his flight path at the last second.
  11. yup, On a side note : A J had a 5 to 1 TD to INT ratio (77 TD, 15 INT) and a 162.5 combined QB rating in college.( 3 Championships ) Peterman TD to INT ratio 3 to 1, Allen 2 to 1
  12. Every tackle will be open to interpretation, To make matters worse the what could be unintentional penalty also gets players ejected.
  13. I agree, McCarron shows good pocket awareness/ moves well , but isn't looking to run the ball.
  14. Its practically impossible for a defender to make a tackle because his fool head gets in the way, I agree, the last thing football fans want is another way officials can control the outcome of a game. ( on every snap ) Tell me how a defender is supposed to dive forward and make a tackle the way you suggest
  15. McCarron can equal Taylors game management skills in my humble opinion red.
  16. Not mobile, hmmmm Are we watching the same guy?
  17. A J has allot of big game experience at the college level and has always handled them like another day at the office IMO.
  18. I could be wrong , but thought Astro was a member of BBMB
  19. thetruthhurts sometimes... Consistency...
  20. Every 1st round draft selection at the QB position is unique in the style O that was run at the college level, the supporting cast, the caliber coaching, and opposition they faced IMO. Every rookie QB destination is also unique making it a case by case decision on the best course of action to follow by way of development in my humble opinion. My reservations of starting Josh Allen early on has much to do with Allens supporting cast/Oline protection Buffalo can provide combined with the new Offensive system installation.
  21. 3 QB's with less then a half dozen NFL starts combined, absolutely
  22. What I find interesting is what ESPN calls QB confidence rankings If I remember correctly has Buffalo ranked last in the NFL. Yet from a Bills fan perspective I'm of the impression the Buffalo Bills have done an outstanding job in an attempt to upgrade the position. Fan of all 3 signal callers...
  23. I'll even say 99.9%, but hey , who's counting thats not to say Josh Allen won't start writting his own book, breaking long ball records and becoming the next superman of the NFL. Step aside Cam... ...there's a new kid on the block...
