which might help explain Allens low completion percentage at the college level IMO.(57%) New Era stadium from a bad weather standpoint is the worst in the NFL and you need a high velocity cannon to help counter the storm. Josh Allen can bring it...

Only paying attention to one team in particular at the college level this thread has given me a better understanding of why the draft class at the QB position is considered good. Thank you very much OP, nice job.

Per Beane, no discipline from team for Zay Jones
Figster replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sure Zay is beating his own self up over the incident and not adding to the punishment is the right thing to do in my humble opinion. -
Bad Oline protection can have a cumulative effect on any QB both physically and mentally in my humble opinion. Fix the protection or ruin the QB ...

Why not give McCarron an honest chance?
Figster replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you want to win a championship these holes have to be filled properly. The Eagles are a great example of what good coaching, good systems and good supporting cast can do for a football team. -
Phil Simms to Hostetler and I know I didn't spell that name correctly, which does suggest that particular Championship was more about coaching and total team effort much like the Eagles Championship. I mean Nick Foles played a great game, don't get me wrong, but we've also watched Frank Reich lead Buffalo on the biggest comeback Bills fans have ever seen. Reich was no Kelly, good coaching, good supporting cast, good system...

I would almost be tempted to start the Superbowl MVP regardless of what Wentz's status is and let it play out. If Foles should somehow hold the position the Eagles have one heck of a good problem to have at the QB positiion.

hey man, we don't know squat so stick with the program

I have a sneaky suspicion Baker Mayfield is in Buffalo's cross hairs now Rosen might be out of reach.

McD / Beane regime is paying very particular attention to the character of every player on the roster and in all likelihood will pay even closer attention to the QB they expect to lead Buffalo long term into the future. I'm not sure how that translates into this years draft class, but it probably narrows the possibilities to one or two players in my humble opinion.

The whole team played great behind him, Hats off to the Eagles...

Myself personally, Foles has proven himself on the biggest stage possible. So while I may not agree with OP's flawed evaluation of McCarron I like where he's going with it as Nick Foles and A J McCarron stand on opposite sides of the spectrum.
-
Care to elaborate on why you think McCarron is flawed. How do you finish college with 77 TD's/ 15 Int's a 162.5 QB rating and 2 National Championships and only a small handful of NFL games under your belt become flawed? If you had Nick Saban on the stand and asked him why A J was flawed they would probably have to remove coach Saban from the courtroom from laughing hysterically. Yet to prove himself at the NFL level perhaps , but flawed? Awwww come on man!
-
McCarron threw for a total of 9,019 yards, 77 TD's/15 INT's, 162.5 QB rating for the tide on a run 1st O. Not to mention winning 2 National Championships. I realize until McCarron goes out and performs at a high level what he has and hasn't done in the past is all everyone has to go on. Myself personally, I have very high hopes for A J McCarrron
-
If McCarron had won two National championships with any other team besides Alabama chances are he would have been drafted higher and A J's pro career would have taken off quicker in my humble opinion. McCarron played well in big games. NFL QB's like Watson and Newton are examples of what winning a championship for any other team not named Alabama can do to help kick start their pro career IMO. Don't underestimate this kids potential...

McCarron gives Buffalo more options IMO I realize a big part of the Bills fan base have already put all their eggs in one basket on a complete unknown at this point, but that may not be the case with McD/Beane. McD is a D guru... -
lol, you have a dirty mind though J I mean that in a nice way

Josh Allen one of the most overrated QB prospects this decade
Figster replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its amazing what having the best of the best to throw the football to will do for a fella eh Mickey, thanks for this post because when you see a name like Joe Montana at 52% it just goes to show what a guy like Jerry Rice means to a QB.
