Mock is just another opinion. On the other hand when half the football world puts Josh Allen going 1st overall to the Browns common sense tells you allot of opinions right or wrong think Allen will go 1st overall. Did some GM's feel this way? possibly, or possibly not and to assume you know differently is just another opinion. My opinion, Josh Allen was at the top of our board...

A J McCarron is an upgrade over Tyrod Taylor in my humble opinion so I agree with you. Granted McCarron still has to go out and prove me right... -

Perhaps going to the Browns didn't appeal to Allen and he leaked them himself -
The way I see it Bills fans had 5 good QB's to pick from dividing the fan base up into 4 or 5 groups. I understand being disappointed for not getting your preferred choice, but most reputable sports analysts agreed Josh Allen has the highest potential upside. Calling it a blunder at this point is a little early in the process...

I can't argue with Buffalo being in a bit of a rebuild mode. Myself personally though, I love the fit. A J McCarron is a good QB and should fill in nicely through the growing pains in my humble opinion jrober38

Elite athletes run the more precise routes, get better separation, have a bigger catching radius, adjust to the football better then your average WR in my humble opinion. The better O coordinators/systems at the college level, or successful is perhaps a more appropriate description also run a more QB friendly style Offense IMO. Alabama for instance with its run 1st mentality on O and stiff Defense wins championships with practically anyone behind center and why A J McCarron failed to get recognition. I get your point , but when you put a big armed smart kid behind a good Oline and provide him with an elite supporting cast like Shady at the RB position good things can happen in my humble opinion.

I understand the skepticism, Supporting cast however does matter in everything a QB is able to accomplish in my humble opinion. Josh Allen tries to make the harder throws because he can vs dumping the ball off and his completion percentege suffers because of it. Lets coach this kid up and see what happens. We already know Allen can make every throw he will be asked to make at a very high velocity. Time will tell...

Or playing with kids that 99% of don't make it to where Josh Allen is today. H.S. stats to make an argument, seriously?
-
If you subtract all the bubble screens and dump offs from the other top QB's you might find similar numbers/ completion ratio as Josh Allen. The other top prospects also had a better supporting cast. You get that right?

The Final Straw: We can't draft Josh Allen

Albeit Allens dump offs and bubble screens didn't pad his stats like other QB's in the same draft class... -

High wonderlic score does suggest an ability to understand sophisticated O's and D's Add the ability to thread the needle from 40 yards away and we might be on to something in my humble opinion. with all due respect sir Allen will in all likelihood will be gone before Buffalo's selection so I wouldn't worry... -

Lori Chase was a mod here at TBD once upon a time. Great Bills historian in my humble opinion who wrote a pre game warm up each week during the regular season that always brought added intrigue and excitement from previous encounters. Must have been before your time Gu...

Perhaps a man's occupation shouldn't be making the choice of what he likes to do on his own time when it comes to recreation or relaxation. Most people will find a job that fits their preffered life style so when you say sacrafice millions, to do what, live the way they would like? We live in a society today thats putting professional athletes in contact with friends and family members enjoying the same means of unwinding as many of them would like to use on a daily basis. (legally) Getting your brains scrambled on a football field is not the only way to make millions...

My expectations of McCarron are high, but it would not surprise me If the thought process behind bringing A J into Buffalo is much how you just described it in my humble opinion. Carefully calculated with a possible upside...

unfortunately, Reminds me of Newton , thought we had our guy until he climbed to the top, hate it when that happens doc...

Josh Allen from a wonderlic standpoint is the smartest QB in the draft class with by far the strongest arm and an ability to hit small windows of opportunity because of it. Is Allen a project, absolutely and why we have McCarron. Allen is our guy...

Kickoffs in the NFL Could Soon Be a Thing of the Past
Figster replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Myself personally, I think starting field position can be very important. Fans want entertainment and when you continue to take danger out of the equation the NFL suffers the consequences in my humble opinion..
