THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - So Funny I Could Cry
Figster replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Myself personally Shaw, the D has played fairly well , but in this league without an Offense that can control the clock to keep the oppositions high powered O off the field or match the intensity/ points scored its all for not. QB's like A Luck are going to put you into a shoot out. On the other hand when you look at the cards Daboll has been dealt at the QP position in Peterman, the rookie Allen, now a rusty, perhaps over the hill veteran in Anderson is easy to understand why the O has struggled as a unit in my humble opinion. The Bills GM worries me. -

Putting together the spectacular collection of talent takes time. Rookies also take time developing. Players like White, Edmunds and Allen are a good start IMO. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - So Funny I Could Cry

Despite being a rookie that has a long way to go losing Josh Allen really took the air out of the team and the Bills fan base IMO. Thanks for the good read Shaw, Virgil, much appreciated fellas. -

It was only a matter of time before A Luck started doing what he does best. -

I for one will be looking forward to seeing Josh Allen back on the field again, hopefully sooner vs later. Thanks OP While Allen may only be a rookie its very possible his leadership is a big part of the Buffalo Bills competitive nature and is almost impossible to replace. The team and fan base is already leaning heavy on this kid and the only thing that can fix it is a healthy Josh Allen behind center again in my humble opinion. -
2nd half thread: Bills at Colts 1 pm on CBS
Figster replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went from thinking watching Anderson will do Allen good to thinking the Buffalo Bills are not the same football team without Josh Allen. -
Yup, been there, done that, and as far as pain goes it ranks high on the all time list. Speaking of bikes I somehow got my toes caught between another bikers sprocket and chain while we were going down a paved hill full speed and it ended badly. I did manage to keep all my toes so for that I am thankful

If Anderson does ok and decides to stay on another season or two, it will not surprise me If the Bills pay very little attention to the QB position itself from a draft/FA perspective and focus on supporting cast for Josh Allen.
-
Myself personally, If I was the Bills GM I would start planning ahead for when Tua Toga enters the NFL draft.
-
I wouldn't...

Man... If only we had given more consideration to the Oline and a veteran mentor or a better supporting cast to throw the ball to then perhaps Josh Allens learning process would take place with more success. Judging a rookie with 5 starts under his belt that has always been thought of as a project from the day he was drafted is sad. Allen wins 2 of them and probably wins a 3rd If the opposition hadn't targeted his throwing arm IMO. Most people had Allen going in the 1st round, some 1st overall...

Allen will never develop under Mcdermott
Figster replied to LFC24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have confidence in Daboll and like how he has tried to gradually put pressure on Allen in the passing game. It bums me out J A and K B finally start to click and Allen screws up his elbow on a late hit. The tide was turning before the injury IMO... McD's experience watching the development of the power forward/QB in Cam Newton gives the Bills HC an upper hand IMO -

I understand why you might feel this way, Myself personally, I blame the Bills GM for not having a more experienced QB in Buffalo when the season started. I also blame the Beane head for not addressing the Oline properly... -

Myself personally, I think McD was forced into starting Allen much earlier then he had planned because of the Beane heads mistakes. With that being said I'm very happy a more conservative run heavy approach is being utilized in the on field development of Allen and believe McD may have had allot to do with it IMO. -
It was a clever way/lyric to capture the outlaw image without endorsing it in my humble opinion. If memory serves me somewhere on the album they show a skeleton arm, hand holding a 38 snub nose with bullets around it. Don't quote me on it though...
-
Probably one of the biggest things that happened today that may get overlooked was Allen finding his go to guy in Benjamin IMO.
-
Well put...
-
I disagree...

I was against starting J A this quick, but I'm not hating it because Allen seems to be taking it all in stride in my humble opinion.
