  1. I think Zay has progressed nicely and I expect that he will get even better with better talent around him. He has had a year in this offense and has rapport with his QB. Dabol knows what he can do and will put him in positions to succeed. Duke? Who knows. It says a lot about the state of the Bills Receiving corp that someone who has only competed at the CFL level has the opportunity to become the 5th WR. I hope he knows how to run routes and make plays. He has some upside to him. If not him, who else is in the running for the 5th spot? I say 5th because Andre Roberts is really # 6.
  2. Let's hope the new OL is improved enough to at least give these backs a lane to run through. It would greatly improve this offense if Bills can run effectively. Looks like a crease is all Singletary needs. Plus I hear he's funny.
  3. That's a lot of pressure on a third round pick, to come in as the funniest. I'm sure he will be tested.
  4. First time in a while they drafted a guy I was really hoping for. WOW. Didn't think he'd be there.
  5. I think Zay will be fine. He seemed to be more effective when Foster was inserted into the lineup. Zay is not a # 1 but he can be a very good #2, 3. He needs other WR talent around him and it looks like the Bills will have a better WR corp than what they had last year. Also, if Bills can get a decent running game going, everyone on offense will benefit. With the additions to the OL, I am hopeful that the running game will be greatly improved. If not, it will be another long year.
  6. Bills need a LB. Lorax is most likely gone after this year. White has potential to be elite. I don't see why he or Edmunds couldn't play OLB. They are both versatile, freakish athletes. I believe Frazier and McDermont could find some interesting defensive configurations with this LB corp with White added to mix. Going 3-4 would not be one of them. I am hoping, kind of, that he will be gone before pick 9, but if he were to be there, I would love the pick. Bills definitely need another quality LB. That unit suffered when Milano went down.
  7. Hopefully they will start out better than last years group ever played as a group, even if they haven't jelled yet and hopefully they will improve as the year progresses. I don't know how long it takes an OL to jell but hopefully they can at least be average to start and get better from there.
  8. Dau, a ray, a female dear, ray a drop of golden light. I remember this as a kid (not a young goat).
  9. It wasn't Vlad's fault. He wanted to block but couldn't quite get his footing as he was being pushed back into Shady.
  10. I am thinking line averages 320 lbs and 6' 6", although this is just quick math. Probably just sounds massive to me. Maybe they were that big before, but they just looked smaller as they were being run over almost every time Shady touched the ball.
  11. Agree. Strange as it might seem, this FA period has shifted the focus of this draft back to the defense for the Bills. Not saying they won't look to get a TE or RB but probably only one offensive player in the in first 5 picks, maybe 2 if the value is there.
  12. Give him some room to maneuver instead of getting swallowed up by the DL running through our guards and maybe he can still show us something. This has the potential to be a pretty massive line.
  13. I just happened to mention that we needed another tackle just 4 hours ago and immediately the went out and got one. I wonder if I should get some kind of fee for putting them in the right direction.
  14. The Giants are fast becoming the new Raiders with their thought process concerning drafting. You can no longer guesstimate what they will do next. I hope they have a plan but I have t admit, I don't see it.
  15. I would like Wilkins or Oliver. Both have a lot of talent and would be a good replacement for Kyle Williams.
  16. I like the signing. Now we don't have to rely on Mcdermott if we lose a tackle. I notice Devin White being taken in some mock drafts after the Bills pick but I bellieve that he could be a great pick by Bills when he takes over the MLB spot and move Edmunds to OLB/ rusher. This would be that creative edge rusher that was mentioned in another topic on this site. I believe it will actually be a 3 technique DL cause White should be gone by 9 but if he's there don't be surprised if he's the pick
  17. Obviously need an impact player at 9. I am guessing that Beane and staff will be looking at White (LB) or the BPA at DL ( Simmons, Wilkins, Oliver or Lawrence) as meeting that criteria. OT, TE, and the other positions just don't have that impact potential now that we have partially addressed them. Still important to be addressed, but after round 1.
  18. Appears Bills have made some interesting roster changes that should result in a better offense this next season. Some areas I am still concerned with prior to the draft are as follows: 1. Bills need another OT. It appears they only have three on their roster. I question whether McDermott is ready to assume a starting role if one of our starting tackles were to be injured. 2. I think Bills need to get at least one quality LB, maybe two. They look awful slim in backups here as was the case when Milano went down. Also, don't really know how injury will affect him this coming year. 3. Need at least one other TE, someone versatile, that can block and catch. Wouldn't mind a rookie here. 4. I believe we need a penetrating 3 technique DL to help bring pressure up the middle. 5. Could really use another quality edge rusher for the rotation. Also because both Hughes and Lawson are possible FAs next year. 6. Could use a young RB to groom for next year. I doubt shady will get a new deal next year unless it is of the short term type. Gore is already on a one year deal. Could do this next year also as RBs are more "plug and play" than most other positions on the team, but should look into someone with some strong upside for this year so they can learn behind Gore and Shady. 7. WR may not be as big a need now that Bills have added more talent but if there were one that they think could be a good steal, it might be a good move. 8. Same for CB and Safeties. I hope they look for some gems that might fit in and not necessarily need to start but can learn the system and be groomed for future success.
  19. When you look at the highlights, you see some very creative blocking schemes for the return team, something I never saw with the Bills last year.
