Very interesting "Tyrod/Trade/Option" article
CanadianFan replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We've seen TT's ceiling. It only goes downhill from here. He's got 2 tools - long bombs (BUT they aren't even that accurate - only if the receiver has beat the man clearly and adjusts to the ball), no field vision, and running with his legs. The only time he's gonna win a SB is if he's named Doug Williams and is on the Redskins team that beat the Kelly Bills back whenever. Only good thing about the kid is he's SUPER CAUTIOUS. So he won't throw WRs open. He makes only safe throws. I mean sure yeah if we have a super dominant, ALL-WORLD ALL CENTURY D TT is perfect QB for that. But, that happens once a decade, and Bills don't have the makings of that All World All Century D. -
NYJ Releasing Brandon Marshall, Signs with the NYG

We could use one of the two old guys as a bridge to the future. Bridge WR for bridge QB. No, NOT referring to Teddy. LOL -
Very interesting "Tyrod/Trade/Option" article
CanadianFan replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey Whaley haters, the article actually gives Whaley credit for being shrewd on this one. What a GENIUS move to have the option at March 11 instead of March 9. HOW SMART is that? It's not a bad thing Whaley isn't talking to media anymore. He hasn't been savvy enough to handle the media. Not every GM is. -
Bills reportedly would have interest in Trevor Siemian
CanadianFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This makes a lot of sense to me. While he isn't a running QB like TT, he has mobility, his vision on the field is better, and his ability to hit different spots on the field is better (where as TT is good for one throw only). Only thing is I just don't know if Broncos will pull the trigger on Romo fast enough to make TS available before March 11. Even after that, we could trade TT after exercising his option and go with this kid until 2018/2019. He showed maturity and poise for a 2nd year player who never saw the field in his first year. Siemian had better passing yards than TT. If he's cheap, like a 5th or 6th round, sure. Although Denver just might keep 3 QBs given Romo's injury history. -
Report Garoppolo not expected to be traded
CanadianFan replied to ALF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, none of that. Pats can't find a taker for Jimmy G at the price they want. They were the ones floating the rumor about him commanding a 1st and 2nd initially. They floated the smoke not anyone else. Given the history of pats backup QBs, and Jimmy G already seen as being "fragile" doesn't warrant a high 1st round pick. Maybe the 30th pick. Not Brown's 1st. If Browns go for it, they are suckers like Nets were, and it's bad for NFL just like Celtics Nets trade is bad for NBA. -
Tebow#2? 2018 Draft. Get on there. I'm with you on this. Tyrod can hold down that position for 2 more years.

Should the Bills cut Kyle Williams to clear cap space?

NO. FOUNDATION. CULTURE GUY. Although, he didn't have much of an impact in the locker room did he? RESTRUCTURE. -
2017 will be a success if we (fill in the blank)
CanadianFan replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we don't draft any QB in first 3 rounds, lose most of the games and lands in top 5 for 2018 Draft. -
Kirk Cousins wants out of Washington
CanadianFan replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Come on. He's an average QB at best. Let the browns pick him up. Where QBs go to die. LOL. -

How do you think we fit the 4-3?
CanadianFan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly I know Whaley will find the LBs if we can't/don't resign. Look at his track record. We lose LBs and keep finding capable replacements. think about the guys who've left over the years. I'm not worried. I think the D line has some talent, if Dareus stops being dope and not just smoking it. Last year's picks Shaq and Adolphus will have a season under their belt and hopefully becomes solid contributors. Schwartz was here what.. 2 seasons ago? Wasn't the conversation that this was more a 4-3 D than 3-4? We'll be alright. -
Whaley wants Cardale to be 2017 starter
CanadianFan replied to HumbleAndHungry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your logic doesn't hold. nobody has an ideal roster and Bills certainly didn't given the decades of senile ownership and inept management. You can't overhaul a roster in one season. Marrone has to do the best with what he's given. Just like ANYONE. If Marrone is expecting the best personnel in every position including the most difficult position in football which your argument suggests then he's a fakkin princess expecting a unicorn for every birthday and shouldn't be an NFL coach highly paid to find solutions like every other coach is. -
Whaley wants Cardale to be 2017 starter
CanadianFan replied to HumbleAndHungry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I recall this situation well. Orton at that point was a vet mulling retirement, and didn't want to spend the summer in camp. So he waited till last possible minute to sign. I'm betting he didn't even want to start for the Bills, just wanted to be the vet backup to a young QB to teach so to speak. After that season of having to be the answer, what did he do? What he wanted to all along, get out of football. -
That's my point about Belicheat and the culture he cultivates in NE, what he gets right. He doesn't care for those types of players. He takes on one or two of those miscreants if he thinks he can change them. Remember Randy Moss? He had one monster year in that almost perfect season. The next year he started talking about himself and money, and he was gone mid-season. Then was out of the league for good. Moss was one exception to Pats' mold. Otherwise, that's not the type Belicheat goes after. players like Hogan, etc. are Belicheat's type. You look at San Antonio Spurs, they choose personality of players over sheer talent. There's a certain mold to them. Kawhi Leonard is the most humble superstar in this game. Look at Duncan. Robinson. Nobody's Antonio Brown or wat'shisface with Giants. And my Toronto Raptors (WeTheNorth!) have been been choosing a certain type of persona with players as well - those who are humble down to earth, no brash "me first" attitude guys. While talent level with Raptors is NOT high (half the teams in Eastern Conference are more talented IMO), they have been successful due to worth ethic and sheer focus on player growth. While it was painful over the losing years, the transformation with the same set of core has been something to watch. There's VISIBLE GROWTH of each player each season. Each of them come back after the summer with an improvement to some aspect of their game and/or to their body because frankly, there just isn't enough time to work on their game during the season. So this is where Whaley has to pick and be choosy about the type of players he picks. I'm glad he cut Karlos Williams. That also set an example to the rest of the players - if you don't do the work off season, you're not welcome. The task is to not waste a pick on that type of players.

Yeah I agree. Look at Tebow. He has all kinds of issues with mechanics. Heck I have a better throwing motion then he does. and in 4 years of college, what did his coach teach? I love Urban Meyer (i dont care for OSU) but him or his coaches didn't fix Tebow. But Meyer's a hell of a talker and motivator though so there's much to what you say.

I think this is where I'd like read and hear more detailed analysis of key players' growth and technique. Especially at skilled positions like QB. You hear how much Payton Manning works on his footwork. And in the last game of last season EJ was throwing off the wrong foot and missed a wide open receiver in end zone. That kind of thing. I mean if EJ had this problem since his rookie year, WTH was he doing this whole time? This is like a once in a life time opportunity, and he's makiing MILLIONS on this. There are things to be corrected and it maddens me that they don't improve. And that's the same disappointment with TT. I am NOT seeing him improving despite being in the league six years? If he isn't motivated to improve for $100m reasons he'll never improve.
