After watching prior generations of GMs of Bills blow it year after year draft after draft picking players even CFL won't use, this team is *somewhat* relevant again with very good talent spread across the depth chart. You can't tell me that we have at least one good talent in secondary, LB, D line, O line, WR, RB, TE, etc. I don't think most of the teams that didn't make the playoffs last year can say that bout their team. For years Bills had jack SQUAT. Zilch. Nada. The only player of any note was Kyle Williams. Every one else was GARBAGE! Not even recyclable! There are good pieces, keep building on this. Stability will be key in terms of coaching and schemes and personnel types you need along with good talent evaluators. Flip flopping rosters coz of coaching changes does your program Jack.

If Cleveland trades a boatload of picks for Jimmy G, then that's the Nets-Celtics trade V2. The whole friggin League should BLOCK that trade. Jimmy is real. Also real FRAGILE. This whole secondary thing's been discussed before, OP. We got a different defensive scheme coming in. Take a look at what Carolina did with Josh Norman free agency. Corners do not have as much value in this scheme as the front 7. With the depth of the position in the draft coming in, we can still improve further. I'm simply NOT CONCERNED with our secondary.

I hate to say it, it might have been the change in secondary coach. I as much as I respect his game as a player and him being one of the all-time greats in the position, it was his first time coaching, and our corners paid the price.

well it makes sense then. Coz for a safety-first short yardage throwing QB like Tyrod the big sure handed TE is your best friend. Just surprised they didn't hook up more last year esp. with Watkins out for much of the year.

He does look a lot like Tyrod in the way he throws, stature, etc. He'll need to be a backup somewhere for a while until he understands NFL defenses better. Now what we don't know is the on field presence - is he going to be able to stay calm in all situations? That's what's behind Tyrod's value. He doesn't panic. Send him to a zen master first.

Tyrod made an appearance on NFL Network. In his reasons for coming back to Buffalo he mentioned the talent surrounding him. I thought it was interesting that he started with "Clay", then went on to mention Watkins, LeSean and the O line. It's interesting to me that in his comments he mentioned Clay first. Are they tight? Or is Clay needing some love and recognition.

Amen to all the well wishers. He was a decent player for Bills. Too much money for a blocking WR though. We can't maximize his talents here so he's better off elsewhere.
