Bills fire 3 long-time staffers and Team Chaplain
CanadianFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
they need to get better trainers as well. Strength and conditioning and medical staff goes hand in hand in making sure players get the proper training to PREVENT INJURIES. stupid Hammy injuries are just stupid and easily fixable with proper training. -
Bruce Arians: "Only 1 draftable QB ready to start".
CanadianFan replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nope, he's right. ITS OBVIOUS. ONE OF TWO GUYS FROM PRO-OFFENSE COLLEGE. Guess who. -
Should Jets take a QB in first round, it'll be HUGE. Means more likely they won't pick QB in first round in 2018. But again they got pressing needs in corner, and that's literally a "cornerstone" of their coach's D so this is probably all smoke and mirrors. http://nypost.com/2017/03/29/jets-have-private-workout-with-mitchell-trubisky-qb-homework-gets-serious/

Geno Smith signs with Giants
CanadianFan replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no I think it's sincere. everything he said is true are they not? they need to help him with decision-making. I actually think any ELITE coach should be able to help a player with his decision-making. As in cutting down mistakes on the field. That said I haven't seen our coaches help our QBs in that respect xD That said they will likely draft a QB if one drops to them in later rounds. -
Michael Irvin being investigated for sexual assault
CanadianFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah look who got elected to the most scrutinized public office? The wonders do not cease! This world is changing in a way that is NOT pretty. In this particular situation, before the case can be cleared, all three things are possible 1) Irvin drugged and raped her. 2) the woman is a gold digger 3) she got too drunk blacked out and can't remember the previous night. So I WITHHOLD JUDGEMENT. -
Sounds like LB early is a possibility
CanadianFan replied to billspro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man we got enough LBs. This draft isn't about LBs. get the DBs and WRs. best talent out there. -
Geno Smith signs with Giants
CanadianFan replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know McAdoo dissed this year's QB draft crop by saying Geno's competitive with them you hear that? All them Trub and Mahomes lovers give this offensive mind a listen. -

Geno Smith signs with Giants
CanadianFan replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ben McAdoo: Says Smith a possible successor to Eli. "You study the guys coming out, Geno I think he's right in the mix of one of the better players available this year," McAdoo said. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/19026138/new-york-giants-hail-signing-quarterback-geno-smith This is interesting. McAdoo says Geno compares with the QBs coming out in draft this year. Dang. I hope we don't draft ANY of them in the first three rounds! -
Next NFL Move: going international?
CanadianFan replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well my friend it wasn't a stone meant to be an insult! lol just facts. Yes Americans and canucks are also consumers of Brit cultural products - see Beatles, Princess Di, the whole royal thing, etc etc. After all they are former colonies - there's that thing called "colonial mentality". In Canada's case, we still pay you for the privilege of borrowing your Queen as our Monarch! LMAO. -
Next NFL Move: going international?
CanadianFan replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I completely disagree! London makes a lot of sense for a few reasons: 1) HUGE US ex-pat population in London. 2) Huge financial and corporate base, INCLUDING a ton of wall-street firms who're going to buy tons of luxury boxes 3) The earlier said Brit fans. they packed the stadiums every time games are shown and the NFL cable shows are quite popular despite the aweful viewing times for the Brits. 4) as the past 10 years have shown, the logistics of having games in London are now down to science due to that experience. It is a 6 hour direct flight from NYC or most east coast/ Northern (Chicago for instance) locations due to the globe being ROUND. It also makes a lot of sense that this will come via an expansion baring Jaguars franchise situation (I mean have you seen the empty seats? Jags games in London have more people in stands). Yes but back in 2007 it was a pipe dream. They now have a purpose-built NFL stadium coming up in London. There are more games there now. And the fan base is being built up. It is now a very tangible possibility. -
Well, as the Raiders moved, we all have growing speculation about who's going to move next. And Bills Fans have lots of insecurities in this regard due to the declining economic profile of the region. And the next two articles do not help out: MMQB - London next target http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2017/03/27/nfl-oakland-raiders-las-vegas-raiders-next-relocation-city-london While ESPN says NFL's new stadium era is finished, with speculation about the "last frontier: Buffalo". http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/234573/with-6700000000-in-public-money-nfl-stadium-era-closes MMQB: Beyond Vegas - thinks London is the next likely target. And I agree - the Brits are huge suckers for ANY American cultural product, and this being one of those. While the article says the likely teams are Jaguars and Bills, I believe it is the Jaguars who are most likely to move to London - their owner has a soccer team in London, and has been marketing Jaguars to the Brits for sometime: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2012/nov/29/jacksonville-jaguars-shahid-khan-london.

Bills want "success" before building new stadium
CanadianFan replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That said, it is still a business. If someone is willing to pay for a share of your capital costs at no expense to you and does not infringe upon your future revenue streams as condition for said expense then you take it. Think of it as incentives for capital investment much the same way states and countries hand out money for manufacturing plants/auto plants etc. Public money will be involved. And do not fret so much. Money is cheap historically speaking (IF you have money). interest rates are next to nothing. Issue some long term bonds for this. -
Bills want "success" before building new stadium
CanadianFan replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A suite is only $75k per year? That's CHEAP! I guess Bills are lying to this source about their costs - this is cost per game: -
For a crappy franchise, sure got a big "coaching tree". 12.5% of current head coaches were or head coaches of the Bills at one time xD
-
Jets still looking to draft a QB. they worked out Trub and Watson. They are looking to trade their 6th pick for later picks. IMO this makes it more likely they will grab a QB this year. And next. http://nypost.com/2017/03/24/jets-gm-josh-mccown-wont-stop-us-from-drafting-a-qb/

LMAO like get real. ur the only one rating him in the first round.

NFL talent evaluators stank it up in 2013 draft
CanadianFan replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In hindsight I guess it was ok to in that regard. Unfortunately for the kid all the expectations of the world just got dumped on him with that #1 pick. Yeah it does make sense though selling that to the fans and media is going to be a difficult job. I'm going to guess that's why Pats always trade down and get as many picks as they can to maximize their chances of landing a decent player given the crapshoot the draft is. -
I'd go with these four. There are lots of QB projects out there. I'm sure Rick's got a QB in his mind. What if Brock becomes available? xD
-
Looks like most EVERYONE whiffed on that draft year. Seems like only the lower end of the 1st round did well. Who's the best pick of that draft? My vote's for Houston's Deandre Hopkins. http://www.espn.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/130490/busts-suspensions-and-few-stars-revisiting-wild-first-round-of-2013-nfl-draft

Prospect Watch: Mitch Trubisky QB, UNC
CanadianFan replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't worry, he won't be there at 10. Jets want him, apparently: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/mccown-pickup-hasn-ended-jets-trubisky-crush-shouldn-article-1.3005303 could just be a ploy to convince Bills that the kid is worth the pick, the same way Bills misled Jets to pick Hackenberg. Remember all the hot air about Bills looking at Hackenberg? I never thought they'd do it and they didn't. -

More chatter about Trub: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000794740/article/sources-tell-us-coach-says-mitchell-trubisky-not-a-top10-talent noteworthy, said source says Trub is better than Watson. surprise!
