  1. Salty with many grains of truth bud! He'll be in HOF. And also in HOS. Now not many greats can say that! member of two Halls!
  2. lol ur right. I unlinked it. Time to send him to Florida.
  3. good perspective. Ok I'll pity the guy. Or not! I recall a WGR talk show recently where the hosts said it's easier as a sports journalist to cover bad teams bec. there's more to talk about than good teams. So Jerry, get CREATIVE! LOLOL this was hilaroius! EXACTLY! THAT!!!
  4. TBN Jerry Sullivan: hogan-emergence-crowning-insult-bills (unlinked on purpose!) Hogan's "emergence"? Honestly? One freak playoff game and Jerry's calling him the next coming of Jerry Rice? "crowning insult"? Did the Pats steal the Superbowl appearance from the Bills because they took this WR from them? Oh yeah, that's a no Jerry. "N" "O" Jerry, put it together. This was no robbery. Sullivan should be FIRED. He has no JUDGEMENT. Was Hogan even worthy of consideration as a pro-bowl alternate? And who got a pro-bowl start? Lorenzo Alexander. Are raiders nation crying about it? Cardinals? Or the perpetually mediocre despite the dollars spent Washington Redskins? Do you think they'd love to have the tackles and sacks LA had this past year? How about Jerry Hughes? Are Pats lamenting the loss of this talent? Heck no. Hogan is a marginal talent at best. On a team that's known for not paying for talent (see Jamie Collins) Hogan's production this past year must be a disappointment for the dollars they paid him - 6th highest paid Pat in terms of cap. 38 balls for 680 yards, in a year when Gronk was missing most of the season. That's 15% of total receiving production. Or 11% of total offensive production. and you gave your 6th highest salary for this? Ouch! For a stingy team this has to hurt. Heck any turtle with hands would have caught the 40 balls Hogan caught from Brady. Heck Jerry (Sullivan, not Rice) could have caught those 40 balls. So this was a win Jerry. We shafted Pats by forcing them to pay for Hogan. Honestly, in a season of near-miss disappointments, Hogan was the least of the issues. And oh yeah, Jerry, Hogan's old news. That was a week ago Jerry. Might as well have been last century. Get over it Jerry. Time to move on. Hogan's a marginal talent. Players like him come and go faster than sailors making port calls in the NFL. I had to go dig up that analogy from 19th century you ancient anachronism. That ship's sailed. Got that one Jerry? Cheers!
  5. Doesn't he run a 3-4 D? Which doesn't necessarily fit our personnel? I like Wade. McDermott is likely a better fit.
  6. Yup, I agree. Besides, this is a DB rich draft in 2017. Go the Carolina route. Oh yes - according to NFL.com - Gilmore wants to feel wanted: so he wants the top $$ http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000779515/article/stephon-gilmore-i-want-to-be-wanted-in-free-agency
  7. Brady's legacy will be marked with an asterisk, like Canseco, Bonds, McGuire. Unlike Baseball, NFL isn't capable of dealing with the truth, it doesn't want to destroy its brand. So its media department and NFL films will buff out all the warts from memory as time goes by, and make Brady the greatest. But those of us who lived in this time remember the truth: the QB who was a tool for the greatest cheater in NFL history. Yes he had an arm, but you'd always wonder, would he have won all those games without Belicheat. If he was elsewhere, fell to another team in 6th round, would he still be around? Is he just a shade better than Matt Cassel and end up with a similar career? In the end he was more lucky than Great. That's the Tom Brady story.
  8. If he can turn TT into second coming of Joe Montana, all the power to him! we're all for it.
  9. that's too funny!
  10. why are there so many idiots making money writing junk?
  11. I know I wasn't around, but Kelly, and Kemp, PERIOD. Nobody else comes up to their waist. Kemp is arguably #1 or 1A. At least he WON championships. just a tease xD
  12. I personally don't want to see the Bills move, even if the speculation is for a Canadian city. Because the fanbase here is rabid. It's probably the only NFL team with a fanbase like college football. And we'd never get to see flaming tables or sex in the stands in Toronto. God no. We're too "proper". lol
  13. He just made it more confusing! LOL Yup, that's what I've been saying. He is trying to temper expectations for the coming season with the prior media piece. Some people read into it as "tank" and now he's trying to back track on it a bit. It's not going to be a tank, but given the cap space, and the schedule, three starters who are FAs may not all be back in the fold. For instance Gilmore bec. this draft is deep in DBs. So instead of giving Gilmore huge contract, they'll draft a rook or two (much like what Carolina did this past year), give them a year to develop, and use the QB class of 2018 to grab that franchise QB and add more foundation pieces for a championship run in a couple of years. Ok I think we got it.
  14. This sums up TT's key issues and Rex's tenure as coach. TT isn't exactly a come back QB even with a Watkins as a receiver. Yet he'd have more wins as a QB if the D held up their end. And that's the tragedy of the last two seasons under Rex. He had the best O he ever had, and his undoing was his D. Rex knows this, and I bet you this has to kill him.
  15. Of the AFC QBs with 100 or more attempts, he was 10th in QB rating. Luck, Rivers, Roethlisberger, Flacco, Dalton, Bortles, Siemian Smith, Tannehill, Mariotta even McCown had better ratings over him. Granted, that's just passing. QBR gives more credit to his running plays.
  16. TT, triggerman for the 30th ranked passing offense gets probowl invite.. http://buffalonews.com/2017/01/23/tyrod-taylor-gets-pro-bowl-invite-will-not-play/
  17. You're going to attribute the team's fall in passing offense from a LOFTY 28th in the league in 2015 to 30th this year solely on absence of Hogan? It's easily explained by Sammy's absence. It's not the 400 yards that Hogan had in 2015 that's lacking in this year's production. It's the absence of Sammy's 1000 yard season from 2015 to 400 this year that hurt passing numbers. Hogan's make up fits team personality for Pats. That's why he's more valuable to them. And that's something Bills can learn from them. Put more value on certain personality traits vs. just pure talent.
  18. Seriously? you're going to blame the lack of a 4th option WR on the 31st pass offense and put that on the GM? Seriously? Bills got to be relevant enough the last two years because of the talent Whaley and his team's been finding. How soon do you forget the division IA teams Bills had been masquerading as NFL team in the prior decades? They finally look respectable, because of Whaley. One step at a time.
  19. I agree. Hogan had a huge game because A) Steelers DBs just made dumb mistakes (mental errors due to lack of sleep, anyone? ANYONE?) and B) had a QB who can get the ball to whomever is open. In the Bills 31st ranked passing system he wouldn't have had as many touches. Even going to a pass-first team Hogan got ONLY 36 receptions this year. about equal to what he did with Bills.
  20. A sign of the times.... this is so SAD. Just sad.
  21. What NFL knows but won't acknowledge is Belicheat & Kraft gang are eroding and soiling the NFL brand by tainting it with excrement of their cheating. Dan Quinn and Ryan playing the game on the straight and narrow haven't got a snow ball in hell's chance of beating Belicheat & Kraft co. The last feel-good dynasty are the 49ers. As long as Belicheat and Pats keep owning the rings, NFL will always reek. I don't think I'm going to be watching superbowl. If Falcons win, I'll watch the re-runs.
  22. coz he's white n slow they think he won't get there. LOL! if you ignore him even a turtle will get there! One of a zillion ways Belicheat beats you.
  23. yea like WTH steelers DBs. He was standing back there waving his arms! when a receiver is that wide open DBs should pay their salaries back.
