  1. I'd take a playoff birth or a playoff berth, either one! Agreed though, we can make the playoffs with Taylor. Then, once you're in, who knows what could happen?
  2. Tired of the Kaepernick talk, but cannot wait for when a team signs him. And one will. Just watch the business side of the game talk when a starting QB goes down. That owner is going to run with Kaepernick over QB2 most likely.
  3. Wonder how he feels about Jeff Siemian...
  4. No matter who we draft and who the vet we bring in to compete (unless maybe Taylor), make sure we have safe walking mats. Free Kolb!
  5. Thanks for the work on this Don't see any team beating the Jets in the 2017 Tank-a-palooza. Also, definitely agree with the gist of this argument. Look at all the QBs recently who have had degrees of success and were not high 1st round picks: Prescott (4), Siemian (7), Bridgewater (1, but pick 32), Carr (2), and Savage (4). That's back through 2014. While 2013 sucked for QBs overall, look at 2012: Wilson (3), Foles (3), and Cousins (4). 2011: Dalton (2), Kaepernick (2), and Taylor (6). Point being, if we're not picking top 3, I'd almost rather we wait til round 2-4 and get "our guy." All depends on who is there though.
  6. Depends a lot on who we draft. Some guys are pro-ready, while others need some time to cook. For example, 550 was saying that Kizer might be starting, not just because Osweiler and Kessler are that bad, but also because he is seen as more pro-ready. Note: more pro-ready does not mean higher ceiling. Usually the opposite. Agree that no one should be handed the QB job, or any position job for that matter.
  7. MIA w/ Cutler > MIA w/ Tannehill
  8. I think the fans take care of blacking out enough the team need not add to it.
  9. Have loved Boldin as one of my favorite non-Bills because of how he plays the game. Really would have been tempted to buy his Bills jersey had he played. But cannot respect any reason more than what he gave, especially given current times.
  10. Don't know how many times I have to concede that, although we got just as if not more productive a WR back, we lost a more talented WR. If voicing a preference for production over talent, on a Bills message board, is trolling, then yes I'm trolling.
  11. Agree on Gaines and Wright, but although Hodges has been very productive I feel like Humber must be doing enough right and he looks good on the field.
  12. He looks slow. But he also ran a 4.71 coming into the league, so that shouldn't change his game all that much.
  13. Speaking of stout CBs who can tackle soundly... anyone else miss Winfield?
  14. I do hope Dennison is saving a lot of the pocket-moving aspect of this offense for the regular season and is forcing Taylor to throw from the pocket now just to work on the worse part of his game.
  15. From Wikipedia's 3-4 defense page, our potential trade partners are: "As of 2017, NFL teams that regularly incorporate the 3–4 defensive alignment scheme as a base include the - Green Bay Packers - Los Angeles Rams - Pittsburgh Steelers - Baltimore Ravens - Arizona Cardinals - Indianapolis Colts - Kansas City Chiefs - New York Jets - Washington Redskins - Denver Broncos - Tennessee Titans - Houston Texans - Chicago Bears" I'd say let's not trade within the conference, so Packers, Rams, Cardinals, Redskins, Bears? We've got recent trade history with Rams. They have Ogletree and Littleton in the middle, but I'm not sure whether they would be seeking an ILB.
  16. Yeah me too, but wasn't going to start trying to project those haha
  17. So Ola mans LT if Glenn goes down?
  18. Couldn't watch the game, but from listening it sounded like he was making plays. 3 tackles and an INT.
  19. QB: Taylor, Peterman HB: McCoy, Williams, Tolbert FB: DiMarco TE: Clay, O'Leary, Thomas WR: Matthews, Jones, Boldin, Holmes, Streater, Tate LT: Glenn, Henderson Jefferson LG: Incognito, Mudge C: Wood, Groy RG: Miller, Barton RT: Mills, Dawkins DT: Dareus, Williams, Worthy, Washington DE: Hughes, Lawson, Yarbrough, Davis ILB: Brown, Ragland OLB: Alexander, Humber, Hodges, Vallejo, Milano CB: White, Gaines, Johnson, Seymour, Wright, Sylve S: Hyde, Poyer, Gary, Anderson K: Hauschka P: Schmidt LS: Ferguson PS: Johnson (HB), Croom (TE), Shorts (WR), Pyke (OG), Williams (DT), Valles (DE), Lindsey (LB), Logan (LB), Mabin (CB), Powell (S)
  20. Can't find a good stream, but Gaines looks like a player?
  21. A guy with as much talent as Watkins surely gets YAC regardless of offensive system. Right? Because talent is the most important thing. And he is soft. He gets injured a lot. Low YAC is indicative of low broken tackles which is indicative of being soft.
  22. I mean, you got real *edit: defensive, not offensive* in another thread when I suggested Watkins might be soft, called me a troll because I have an opinion, and said you had enough of the conversation because the statistics didn't back your ideas. So... pot meet kettle?
  23. Not sure why the difference between talent and production is so difficult to understand.
