Bills "can't wait to unleash Tyrod Taylor"
JohnBonhamRocks replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just re: Taylor's running and associated injuries, I have noticed him be very aware of his surroundings when he scrambles. His head is usually on a swivel and he has the quickness to make a cut out of bounds or go down before significant contact. That's what I've seen most of the time. Really hope Dennison gets him on the move early and often this season. -
Still should have tendered him higher.
-
How well he fares could... could have just a bit to do with how well our offensive line plays. Enter Karlos. Enter TD Mike. Enter Rattlesnake Joe. It's all gravy.

Most of them suck. Honestly, cannot think of one who I really like more than dislike. I do, seemingly unlike most, really like and enjoy the WGR shows. I know they get a bad rap, but try effectively having your job be a baby of the movie Groundhog Day and the Buffalo Bills. The fact that they aren't committed to an institution by now is impressive alone. I think they're generally pretty funny and have a fair, balanced view.

Reggie Ragland unlikely to make Chiefs debut
JohnBonhamRocks replied to Bob&Doug's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm definitely rooting for Ragland to perform poorly if it means a better draft pick for the Bills from the Chiefs. Nothing personal, just a Bills fan. -
So long as it's not in anticipation of Kyle Williams' retirement.

McDermott Announces Bills' 2017 Team Captains
JohnBonhamRocks replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
^ Plus, re: Hyde and special teams, one would think with the amount of back-up players we are supposedly keeping on the roster for their special teams ability that we would not need to have starters on offense or defense also playing special teams. -
"I don't believe Bennett or the police, but I'm not ruling out what either says. I haven't seen a statement from the LVPD. I give Bennett and the police the same benefit of the doubt - I entertain what they claim and then compare it against the facts that come to light. The only evidence so far I am aware of is the video. Let's wait until some more comes forward." That was my post before you accused me of giving Bennett the benefit of the doubt, but not the police. Reading helps. Not yet. Going to when I get home. Going off what I have read so far and will add the video to my opinion as soon as I can watch it.
-
Again, have not and currently cannot watch the video. Still, he never said a cop called him the N word from what I read. But I do think it is possible that if the cops did threaten to blow his head off that it may have happened before or after the video. Possible. I don't believe Bennett or the police, but I'm not ruling out what either says. I haven't seen a statement from the LVPD. I give Bennett and the police the same benefit of the doubt - I entertain what they claim and then compare it against the facts that come to light. The only evidence so far I am aware of is the video. Let's wait until some more comes forward. My point remains, that if it was the case that he complied and was still told he might get his head blown off, then the police could have done better. If.
-
Didn't watch the video, but that's what he said in his letter. Safe to say this discussion is in the context of taking him at his word before discovery happens. Me too, re: bolded, but unsure how that applies to this story. Hypothetical based on what he has alleged: would you feel the same if you were in full compliance and then were being told you might get your head blown off? I think the point is that he says he was complying, but still got mistreated. EDIT: I think what I'm trying to say is they could have just as effectively handled the situation without threatening to blow his head off, especially if he was in fact complying.
-
I don't care if you're a suspect (means there's been no proof of guilt) or if it's an active shooter situation. Neither calls for telling someone they will get they're head blown off. If the guy receiving the treatment of being told his head will be blown off were the active shooter, I'm also not sure how that helps much. Would hope cops could do their job without making threats on civilian lives.
-
Like I said, I guess props to those who claim they would be fine after that situation. I think most people would not. Dunno about the list of things people these days are apparently afraid of, but I value my life, so yes, having someone threaten to blow my head off would not sit well. As for what's to be scared about... it's getting your head blown off. I like mine where it is, and also like being able to see the people I care about another day.
-
I'd be pretty upset if I had to go through that. I guess props to those who wouldn't, but my guess is most human beings would be scared $#!+less if put in that situation. No reason any innocent person should have to fear getting their "f-ing head blown off." How saying something like that helps an active shooter situation is beyond me. Seems closer to provoking than protecting. EDIT: Haven't seen the video, so can't comment on that.

McDermott Announces Bills' 2017 Team Captains
JohnBonhamRocks replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
An unsurprising, but very solid list. I feel like they have been building a team full of ex-captains from college squads. EDIT: A little surprised Tolbert didn't get one. New to the team, but seems like that kind of guy to me. "The team captains were elected by the team" - billsdaily.com -
Report. Colt Anderson re-signed

Ah, I see - thanks! So if we bring them back after that time, then the money is not guaranteed? EDIT: Nevermind, above. Much appreciated!
