  1. I think this is more than reasonable.
  2. There has to be at least some fault on both Taylor and Jones. I think there is more on Jones and would put a 75% Jones - 25% Taylor ratio of fault on it. It seems like Jones probably ran a little different of a route than was called for, and also that Taylor overthrew the ball a bit. We don't have a way to know where Taylor's throw would have been in relationship to Jones had he ran a correct route, so that is tough to judge. Regardless, I tend to stick to a general rule that if the football hit the WR's hands, then the QB likely did his job and the WR did not where the result is an incomplete pass.
  3. I would like to see blue-blue with the 90s red helmet.
  4. I'd like to hear KellytheDog's unique perspective on "unleashing"
  5. Buy: Tolbert - the guy doesn't call his own plays, but when they use him right (North/South and pass catching) he gets the job done; plus, he's willing to get stitches Sell: Dareus - was going to go Clay, but he's not playing bad, just below his pay grade; Dareus isn't playing bad either, but he's playing further below a higher pay grade than Clay; understand the snap count was a game plan thing, but would probably cringe at his $/play income Hold: Hauschka - that FG was u-g-l-y and had no alibi, but he's got a solid resume and looked good on KOs
  6. Amen. The QB's job is to give the player a chance to make a play.
  7. Wish it was at home. See that being a big factor. Re: giving McCaffrey his "Welcome to the NFL" hit, who do people bet will be the guy to deliver that from the Bills? My guess is Ragl Poyer.
  8. Maybe 2 if we don't plan on trying Groy at one of the OG spots. Incognito is no spring chicken.
  9. That's what Rex meant by "Building a Buli"?
  10. Posted this in reply to the original post, which was before the two threads that preceded this thread: all four of our corners are below 195 lbs, so we are definitely thin at CB.
  11. Agreed that, although couldn't ID as Zay, it looked to me as if TT had primary read to his left before finding Clay. Again, thanks for the time and effort put into this.
  12. Mark Campbell would've caught it. EDIT: Anyone else care to give a ratio of Taylor/Clay fault on that play? To repeat, mine is 35/65 Taylor/Clay.
  13. Great post and many thanks! Agree with most points in it, too. Do take issue with the INT being totally on Taylor. Should have thrown it earlier, but a TE making the money Clay is making should probably hold onto a ball that hits his hands on the 1 yard line. If I had to ratio it, then I'd apportion 65% fault to Clay and 35% fault to Taylor on that play. Totally agree that while Matthews was open on the long YAC play, it was Taylor's positioning of the ball to the correct side that allowed Matthews to turn how he did and avoid the initial would-be tackler.
  14. Allstate should hire Aaron "Mayhem" Maybin to be the replacement when the current "Mayhem like me" guy retires. You're right - 185, 192, 194, and 184 - not a guy over 200 lbs!
  15. Do teams ever sign a LB with the thinking being he will be the equivalent to a goal line specialist HB? Sincerely asking; I think a guy who can come in and shut down the middle of the field in the red zone/goal line would be worth 1/53 of the roster.
  16. our run game vs their run D will certainly be a match-up of heavyweights
  17. Gotta hope McDermott is going to know how to attack and take advantage of those young CBs they trial-by-fire'd last year.
  18. Kaelin Clay can go deep. Also, re: needing a better TE2, I've thought O'Leary has been pretty solid so far.
  19. I'm assuming you don't count REC yards for this though... yeah Hunt still takes it.
  20. Dunno who that is on the 5 yard line towards the bottom of the picture, but he seems pretty open too. Maybe there's another defender out of frame.
  21. I feel like if Rex starts rubbing off (unfortunately have to clarify: figuratively) on his co-workers, then we're going to start seeing them coming back from commercial break with too few camera operators and someone's shoes missing.
  22. McCaffrey & Stewart v. McCoy & Tolbert I'm looking forward to it.
