  1. RGIII had talent, just hampered by injuries. Same with Bradford. Dalton. Tannehill. Going back a little bit further, Kordell Stewart. Oh, and that Troy Aikman guy was okay. But let's keep talking in absolutes.
  2. I honestly don't think we'll straight up cut any big names, but I bet Taylor is either restructured or traded and Glenn is traded.
  3. There's two things that go into a press conference: the press and a conference.
  4. This makes me trust the process. Win within the limitations of the rules of the game.
  5. DeFilippo is intriguing. Any QB coach who has proven able to develop a young QB should be in play, and it's tough argue with how Wentz looked this year.
  6. That's $14 million for a RT. Higher by any other starting RT by $3 million.
  7. Why didn't the Browns keep Belichick? Jags keep Coughlin? Dungy, Carroll, Kubiak, Vermeil, Gruden, etc. I'm not saying Dorsey is necessarily going to end up on par with that list, but the point is that getting fired is not a death sentence in the NFL coaching world.
  8. I'm hoping we can fill at least one starter between OG/DT/DE/LB from FA. Hopefully, like I said before, we can then get (in this trade scenario) two starters in rounds 2 and 3 at OG/DT/DE/LB. Worst case scenario then is we have a QB and one of either Ducasse, Washington, Yarbrough, or Alexander as a starter (assuming Milano has earned a starting LB spot).
  9. From what I'm hearing re: Shula, it sounds like Dorsey would be a better option. Fits the young, hopefully inventive and innovative, OC mold that has more of a ceiling.
  10. Just haggling And this only happens if OBD determines Mayfield is a franchise guy. But that's well worth it if they do indeed think that. Right now, and I've looked at zero tape, but my gut tells me that Mayfield is the clear cut QB3 of this draft and will be a good starter. An upgraded roster isn't doing anything if we have no QB, ya know? Unless we're going the Jags D with Bortles route, which... yeah, no. I'd be okay with Mayfield, and using the other high picks to hopefully grab 2 BPAs at OG/DT/DE/LB.
  11. No they'll do it because their highly paid franchise QB has had the $#!+ beat out of him and missed this whole season. If you do 21, 22, our 2nd round pick, and Glenn (who would be valued as a high 3rd round pick, not terrible for a starting LT), then that equals out.
  12. Because your offensive line is so good? Okay: 21, 22, 3rd round pick, 2019 4th round pick, and Glenn. Deal?
  13. OK, Mr. Colts GM, here's my counteroffer: 21, 22, our 3rd round pick, and Glenn. Deal?
  14. Not that I think that is it at all, but I did think for a second: "Hmmm, Shula & Dorsey canned right before the press conference... coincidence?"
  15. Think we have well upwards $30 million in cap room, too, no?
  16. I know they probably really wanted the 3rd round pick for Darby, but you have to think they also made the trade with Matthews in mind for more than a rental. Seems like the McDermott/Beane type of player - captain and 4 year starter in college. Exactly. Imagine Benjamin/Matthews/Jones/Thompson/Holmes as WR1-5 with any above average, let alone good or great, QB. That's a deep group with which any QB worth his salt should be able to produce.
  17. I hear that, but I also am not overwhelmed by Jones after this year, whereas Matthews put up 67 catches for 872 yards and 8 TDs as a rookie.
