  1. I think we are SO conditioned to seeing victory ripped out of our hands so many times over the past several years. I believe it started in the '99 playoff game against the Titans and has been repeated so many times. Examples: Stevie Johnson dropping a touchdown in the endzone against the Steelers because God didn't want him to catch it; Leodis giving the Patriots the ball and the victory; Ravens ripping the ball out when forward progress was stopped; that Dallas home game in Prime Time; etc. I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. I HOPE that our penchant for coming up short is finally turning around. Then, we as fans, can start to feel comfortable and expect to win games!! That's how it was in the early 90's. Every game was an expected win. Not one team scared us. Let's get back to that!! The big test will be the Patriots re-match. I'm actually coming up to Buffalo for that game!!! First game I've seen since the Bronco's home game in 2008. Long time coming and will be my son's first Bills game!!!
  2. I totally agree, however, people tend to forget that he's been doing this since he's been a Bill. He's like a higher caliber Leodis: Can play lights out at times, but then has really, really terrible games. The Jets game was atrocious; this one wasn't a whole lot better. Gave up a big first down play early in the game and then the ridiculous effort on not tackling Gurley, which allowed him to get the first down. He is NOT an elite DB and not worth the asking price. IMO - Keep Darby and Seymour and keep drafting good players. Save some green! Oh and one more thing: THE LORAX IS AWESOME!!!!!!
  3. And follows that up 10 days later against Kansas City with these awesome stats: 20 for 44 passing for 188 yards and six (!) interceptions to zero touchdowns!! Oh how I miss Fitzpatrick!! LOL!!
  4. Ahhh.......but how many would have kept their hands where they were placed initially, getting called for a horse-collar tackle and negating the play! I was VERY impressed with his frame of mind to NOT get flagged for the horse-collar. Smart play!! I truly hope this wasn't a one game highlight reel and he continues to excel!
  5. She's been in constant communication with her mentor, Miko Grimes!!
  6. You mean the unproven, not one NFL snap rookie? Just making sure... As many have mentioned, you ease him in and let him learn slowly. That's advantage of having good depth at the position.
  7. No, he's the next Jim Kelly! Duh!
  8. But, what we really want to know is: How's his spleen?
  9. As George W Bush would say: "Strategery!"
  10. Which makes absolutely no sense. In two games with Buffalo, he has three rushing attempts for -4 yards. Awesome addition to the team. He needs to be cut and bring in another power runner. Wonder if the Karlos Williams kid is available?
  11. If only the Vikings had lost their starter, that would have worked out great! Oh wait.....
  12. It doesn't mean a thing to me. Wins / Losses are the only things that matter and right now he's dead last. QB rating has as much merit as the NFL Power Rankings. That and a dollar might get you a coffee. A small one. And not at Starbucks.....
  13. THIS! With the joy of having Sunday Ticket, I get to see a lot of football. Glaring example I take from most games is the quarterback on other teams will stand their ground and make the throw, even knowing they're about to get hit hard. Several times I saw Dalton, Bradford, Eli, etc. hold onto the ball and release it to a wide open receiver or tight end a split second before getting hammered. Completion - move the chains. Our quarterback does not do this; he looks for the escape. Difference between this year and last: He would run after the pocket collapsed. This year, he's staying back trying to make the throw. Admirable, but still the same result - 3 and out. So, at this point, I would not pay him. As many have mentioned in the "Suck for Chad Kelly" (LOL!! - it's really silly I know!) thread, next year's draft has a lot of good quarterbacks. Plus, I also like Cardale. I like his attitude. Polish him up and he could be dangerous! He has an infectious winning attitude (kind like Flutie). He just wants to win.
  14. I can't believe no one mentioned the Greatest Comeback in NFL history!! Bills vs. Oilers!! You know, the game that was blacked out and 350,000 fans saw at the Ralph!! Still, it was a great game and, living in Houston now, people bring it up every time I wear my Bills shirts!! I just laugh!!
  15. EXACTLY! This is what's been needed! Use his speed! Hopefully he ain't broke yet!!
  16. Oh yeah.....those were some good times! Man how time flies!
  17. Well, it starts. Greg Roman fired today. Which, is kinda funny considering that I feel the defense (looking at you Stephon Gilmore!!) lost the game last night. Oh well, at least they fired somebody!
  18. I really don't see how it could be worse! Even in a shut-out, we'd probably still have more yards!
  19. I still feel that he had value here. Who's our third receiver again?
  20. So, he'll never play the trombone again. Got it.
  21. In the immortal words of Michael Keaton, "ehh 220, 221, whatever it takes.."
  22. I'm coming home for the Patriots game in October and, after reading this thread, I'm going to have to try Leonard's. I've had Bocce and it's good, so I'm curious how much better Leonard's is. One thing is sure - I'll leave Buffalo ten pounds heavier!!
  23. This thread is killing me! Not because of the lack of real reasons why the Bills will and can win on Sunday, but because of the mention of "Buffalo Food"!!!! You have no idea how it sucks living in Houston and missing good pizza, wings, Mike's Subs, Teds, Anderson's Ice Cream, John & Mary's, etc. Augh!!! I'm making myself very hungry!!!
