  1. This offensive game plan is a disaster. No short routes all game long. Cards just have to put 4 DBs beyond the sticks and we throw it into them every time.
  2. Wtf? Knox definitely got set before the snap. And Singletary was tackled on his route. The refs are mad there was too much evidence to confirm that interception. Edit: Aaaand there's a bull#### personal foul call. Give me the refs from the Seattle game and screw the rest of the them.
  3. Sure, with a little help from a last second turnover. Go ahead and tell me that was part of the plan.
  4. Because that's our strength and they were missing their CB1. And because Belichick was often selling out to stop the run because he knows that our coaching staff would take such a simplistic approach to the gameplan.
  5. Sounds like you're very black and white on this. They did not look like they had an appropriate game plan on offense or defense. Just because the other team is bad does not mean you get credit for beating them on a last second improbable play. They did not contain Cam's run game and they did not attack the easy passing matchups they had on offense. Those are the two most glaring opportunities that anyone could have predicted going into the game. If you want nuance, the Bills had a much better run game today. And yes, they were ready for the onside kick. These things do not cancel out the aforementioned deficiencies, which you are claiming.
  6. What, exactly, did the coaching staff do to win the game? Looked like our game plan was to abandon the strength of our passing game, let a horrible offense score 21 points, then have Zimmer make a last second miraculous play.
  7. Also no argument there. That's part of the reason I'm still not sold on this coaching staff being up to the task of tougher opponents. You answered your own question in the last sentence. No player, or lack thereof, can account for the drop-off. It's because other teams know how to attack us now and we have no response. The same is true for the drop-off in offense from the first four games to the last four.
  8. No argument about the run game improving. I think Feliciano makes a big difference. With respect to the KC game, they had more than double our total yards. It wasn't both teams struggling to move the ball in bad weather.
  9. Dude, this thread is specifically criticizing the coaching. Some people are in agreement, others are defending the coaching. If you are in the latter group, then you are- by definition- blind to their shortcomings. Unless they have no shortcomings, of course. Do you think they have no shortcomings?
  10. We were one of the top offenses, so clearly we have the ability to be one. I don't think any one of the teams you mentioned is necessarily better at WR than we are. The difference is that we were scheming guys open for the first 4 games and now that other teams have figured out our routes we haven't adjusted. Oh sorry, you must have missed half of the posters in this thread defending the shortcomings of the coaching.
  11. The first week with adverse weather the other team had twice our passing yards and three times our rushing yards. You can't say both teams struggled equally. The game we had 425 yards and no punts we also had zero TDs against one of the worst teams in NFL history. I guess if reality doesn't hold much water for you, you'll be satisfied with any outcome this year.
  12. He was getting pushed around by a guy 75% his size before the OL even got there. But yes, he should be able to at least disrupt two blockers. He doesn't need to beat them, but he should be able to muddy up the blocking lane. He might as well be a decoy on that play. They had no problem removing him from the play.
  13. Do you think Ford and Morse could have turned the offense we saw today into a super bowl contender? What about last week? We saw this team's offensive potential in weeks 1-4. We got Moss back but we're still wallowing around on offense the past 4 weeks. Clearly we have the personnel to be a top offense, so why are we struggling so much if not for coaching?
  14. I enjoy the wins as much as any fan. That doesn't mean I'm as blind to the shortcomings as other fans. I'd like to see a deep playoff run. It's very possible with this team, but I'm not sure the coaching staff can get us there.
  15. My bad. I thought he was inactive again. I guess his one catch means we did a great job getting our receivers the ball.
  16. We didn't have any significant scratches except John Brown. The Patriots were missing about 20% of their players. This was a blowout on paper. The only reason we almost lost is because we got out-coached again.
  17. Make no mistake, I'm thrilled with the record. I am not thrilled with our chances against the Ravens, Chiefs, and Steelers considering how we've played the last few weeks.
  18. Yeah you're one of the guys who thought we were going to the super bowl in 2008. The record doesn't matter as much as the quality of play when it comes down to the wire.
  19. Do you watch the games or just the final score? We played one of the worst teams in football today and barely won, just like last week. I like to think the Bills' coaching staff is keeping all their best stuff close to the vest and grinding it out against easy teams, but it's getting really hard to keep the faith.
  20. Rebuilding is not an excuse anymore. This is year 4 of the rebuild. This is when teams are supposed to be in the super bowl window with a young QB and can spend big on other positions. They let several quality players walk on defense when they could have easily worked the cap to keep them. Two years ago they said they were clearing all the bad money out so they could create a winning team in the following years, but with the exception of Diggs they're still bringing in washed up Carolina players in place of proven guys.
  21. Some might argue that you go for the kill when you have the upper hand despite a clear disadvantage in matchups. It didn't work out and they still almost won with backups.
  22. Why? Green Bay is playing to their level of talent. Miami is probably playing well above theirs. We are playing below ours.
  23. Hopefully that fumble doesn't discourage McDermott from feeling like an absolute clown. This should have been a blowout win. All phases of football were brutal today for the fourth straight week.
