  1. 7 pass rushers. 6 blockers. Our QB fails to recognize the blitz, both pre and post snap, and is looking for a long ball instead of the easy check down to move the chains. Most of our problems start and end with #17.
  2. Absolutely not. We have an extremely limited QB, who has never led a prolific offense at any point in his life. The notion he was going to develop into a top NFL QB never made any sense. Our offensive coordinator is also not functioning properly. Why don't we run the ball more? Why is Lee Smith ever on the field?
  3. I'm sorry but the Bills are a top QB away. Our current QB is not good enough. That's still where we're at.
  4. It's not coming. The Bills might not get to 9 wins. Miami is over their crap and just played us hard. Everyone there is no longer thinking they'll get traded and is now in on putting together good film in case they move on next year. Two wins in a row. Denver has a solid defense. Hard to see us scoring 20 points against them which makes that an iffy game. Dallas is significantly better than us. Baltimore should destroy us. Pittsburgh is peaking. Their D is playing really well, gets pressure and forces mistakes. Again, where do the points come from on the road? New England will be playing for home field. The Jets will be playing spoiler. This thing feels like it's about to go south in a hurry. The offense is a mess, we can't pass the ball, we can't score points, and we need the defense and special teams to play perfect football to win games. The QB and OC are major problems and our HCs situational awareness on how to use timeouts and work the clock is simply horrible. The Bills might win 2-3 of their remaining games. Their offense is simply not good enough to expect to win more than that.
  5. Spin, spin, spin, spin. LMAO If you think Trump actually gave a damn about cleaning up Ukrainian political corruption, you're absolutely crazy.
  6. I'm aware of it. I've read the whole transcript, which isn't actually a transcript by the way. What does Crowdstrike have to do with Ukrainian political corruption?
  7. Spin, spin, spin, spin. That narrative about Ukrainian corruption is complete garbage. It would be great for Republicans if it were true, but it's not.
  8. This narrative quickly goes down the toilet drain once you consider Trump only ever asked about having the Ukrainians look into Biden.
  9. Bloomberg is the Dems best shot. If he can win the nomination, he'll absolutely destroy Trump in a general election.
  10. I think we've benefited dramatically from our schedule. When the schedule gets harder next year and we play the AFC West and NFC West (the best division in football) plus likely the Steelers and either Colts/Texans, this team is going to have to improve by leaps and bounds. Maybe they'll sign better players in the offseason. I just know the current roster isn't good enough to compete with the top teams in the NFL, which is why Schopp is saying they haven't accomplished anything yet and is skeptical that's going to happen.
  11. I thought you'd get into specifics on the team's players you like vs the guys we'll hypothetically sign because we have a bunch of cap space. I see little elite talent and it's always a challenge for us to bring top free agents here. Tre White is awesome. No one else is even remotely elite. We have good players and few holes, but there are hardly any difference makers on this roster and our offense is still really bad. The cap situation is all helpful, but as Schopp is saying, none of it means anything in the grand scheme of things unless you win, go deep in the playoffs and compete for titles. As he said, there are no awards given to the team with the best cap situation.
  12. What are you basing this on?
  13. He's not developing fast enough. He's the 28th ranked QB in the NFL despite playing one of the easiest schedules in the league. QBs typically don't improve much after their second year starting. Generally what you see in their second year playing is what you get long term. Can you name any QBs from the last 15 years who took a big jump after playing two years? All I can think of is Eli Manning and maybe Matt Stafford. I can't think of anyone else.
  14. Doesn't make any sense. It puts us at a competitive disadvantage if we won't consider talent players with baggage who wind up on other teams.
  15. When has Josh played well this year? His QB Rating has been near the bottom of the NFL all season.
  16. You're essentially just saying you dislike him because he's right and refuses to blindly believe in a QB who is statistically one of the worst QBs in the league. Neither of them like Josh Allen long term. As is the case with most people who objectively cover the NFL.
  17. Most of the successful franchise QBs across the NFL over the last 15 years showed they were really good really early on. Guys who were still struggling well into their second season rarely go onto be successful.
  18. Sorry - was a typo saying 22nd or worse. Should have been 21st or worse (Eagles, Bengals, Jets, Bengals, Dolphins). Aside from maybe the Giants, we didn't look great on offense against any of those teams. I think our offense, and particularly the passing game is one of the worst in the league.
  19. No. I don't think DVAO is the be all end all. I do however think our schedule is the biggest reason we're 5-2. We've played teams with a collective record of 19 and 34, with a win percentage of .358 which is abysmally low. I think our defense and special teams are pretty good, but our offense is terrible. In 5 of our 7 games we've played defenses ranked 22nd or lower and are still averaging less than 20 points per game in scoring. Ultimately I think our offense is our achilles heel.
  20. Sal is a Bills' homer. Schopp is not. Schopp looks at things objectively, almost to a fault as someone who has covered the same team for so long, but his thoughts are usually spot on. He's forward thinking and understands where the game is and should be going. He's aware of analytics, gets the math and understands when coaches make correct and (often) incorrect decisions. Sal is a guy who understands the game in a traditional sense, but his opinions are flawed because he wants to always give the Bills the benefit of the doubt. Schopp is spot on here. The Bills are no better now than they have been over the past 10 years. They have hardly any elite talent or difference makers, a coach who I assume Schopp thinks is probably too conservative, and a GM who he views as being completely reckless with draft picks by having traded so many away. Schopp is focusing on the state of the team, and Sal is projecting the state of the franchise (which is definitely improved over 4+ years ago) and has convinced himself that the Bills are great because their front office has their house in order and has managed the cap well. Unfortunately for Sal it ultimately comes down to wins and championships, and despite making the playoffs these coaches and front office haven't really accomplished anything. In 2-3 years, Sal might be right and the improved state of the franchise might have begun to impact the results of the team, but Schopp is right that it's not there yet.
  21. Yeah, we barely beat the Jets, struggled against the Dolphins until Tre White took over the game, needed the Titans kicker to miss 3 field goals, and left it late against the Bengals. We're 5-2, but there's not a lot of real proof we're actually any good as a football team. We appear to have a really bad offense, and a defense that is a bit unknown because they've mostly played terrible competition.
  22. Foster has been hurt all year with a groin. Hard to evaluate him at this point. He also has a fraction of the talent that Josh Gordon has.
  23. We have one deep threat in the whole offense. Just roll a safety over top of John Brown and we don't have a single guy who can get open 20 yards or more downfield or catch contested passes. Gordon would give us a verticle threat that Beasley, Jones, McKenzie, Roberts, etc haven't been able to provide.
  24. The Bills should be running the football 35 times a game and throwing more deep balls off play action. I honestly don't get why they trust Josh Allen to drop back as much as they do and expect him to lead a productive offense.
