  1. No one's head is exploding. All of this was obvious from the get go. Trump is a total crook. He extorted a foreign government who was at war with a US enemy to dig up dirt on one of his political opponents, even though every US intelligence agency said there was no dirt to dig up. If Obama did this I can only imagine the outrage you'd have. The double standard is laughable. This administration is finished. Sondland is struggling to finish a sentence right now. He's in way over his head and the democrat congressmen are going to rip his story to shreds over the next several hours.
  2. Trump is finished. Sondland confirms it was a quid pro quo. Trump extorted a foreign government, who is at war with an enemy of the US, to investigate a political rival. How do you come back from that?
  3. Pretty sad that these guys were two witnesses the Republicans wanted. Neither did anything to help their cause. Sondland is going to be devastating.
  4. Allen played really well on Sunday. Definitely his best game of the season and arguably the best of his career so far. I credit him for protecting the football through the air over the last few weeks. He's stopped putting the ball in harms way, but he still needs to take better care of the ball when he runs. The real test is coming up over the next 5 weeks. Miami was a nice win against a poor team (Allen played great, I'm not taking anything away from him), but the real growth will be evaluating him against 4 top 10 scoring defenses in 5 weeks. Over that time Allen will face (PPG Rank on D) the T7th, T7th, 6th, 13th and 1st defenses in the league. I hope he plays well. We need 2 wins from those 5 games.
  5. A Maybe his best game as a pro. Certainly his best game this season. He played well all around and ran the ball well when he needed to. A huge improvement over recent weeks. Hopefully it continues against the Broncos.
  6. 100%. We need to extend him immediately.
  7. It's been missing because he's been getting lit up by defenders at the end of those runs. Running is not a long term solution for Allen's game. It'll just wind up with him getting injured. He's a big target and he doesn't like to slide.
  8. Maybe. It all depends on drafting the right QB, and that doesn't always mean having the #1 overall pick.
  9. I'm not seeing this approach from other teams that have successfully developed a QB.
  10. It's not # of people. It's a percentage. About 200 people have voted. 53% of voters don't think Garrett deserves a suspension at all.
  11. The people who voted in the poll. Currently 46% of people think Garrett should be suspended. Crazy.
  12. Less than 50% of people think Garrett should be suspended. Holy crap.
  13. Is this how courts look at assault or attempted murder? Well you didn't actually severely injure or murder the person, so it's fine. LMAO What!?!?
  14. This would be closer to a hitter charging the mound and swinging a baseball bat at the pitcher. The Steelers should be pressing charges.
  15. Garrett should get at least 10 games.
  16. I don't see any similarities between the two whatsoever based on how they actually coach football.
  17. Simply put, I think McDermott is a conservative, defensive minded head coach who avoids risk whenever he can. I don't think that will lead to any long term success, because I don't look around the NFL and see any top coaches who I see approaching the game the same way. McVay, Peyton, Belichick, Reid, Pederson, etc. These are aggressive, never take your foot off the gas, go for it on 4th down type guys. McDermott isn't cut from the same cloth.
  18. Honestly, Josh Allen is playing exactly as NFL.com's scouting report said he'd play. It's actually scary how accurate that report was.
  19. I completely disagree with the bolded. If anything college QBs who come from below average programs should have an advantage over guys who played with really good supporting casts, because they should already be used to throwing at receivers who are tightly covered. I've suggested for years that this is a reason why QBs from places like USC, Alabama, Oklahoma, etc never work out in the NFL, because they're throwing to wide open uber talented receivers in college who are being covered by guys who have no hope of ever sniffing the NFL. This is actually my biggest concern with Trevor Lawrence. He has arguably two top 10 WRs as his top 2 pass catchers, a good line and an elite running game, and he still puts too many passes into harms way. How's it going to get better once he's throwing at receivers who can't just out jump everyone for the ball in the NFL like they did in college? A lot of good NFL QBs came from college programs where they didn't have a ton of NFL talent around them, and they just made it work.
  20. I dislike crappy QB play. It's gone back to JP Losman.
  21. Fair enough. Our defense is very good. New England is being talked about as best ever and the Ravens just put 37 points up on them. If we're being honest, 6-3 is a decent record given who we've played. Being brutally honest, we're 6-3 not because this team is good, but because we've played pretty much all of the NFL's horrible teams. If we switched our schedule with Cleveland's, we'd probably also be 3-6 instead of 6-3. I agree. Run the ball more and put the ball in Allen's hands less. We need to compensate for having such a poor QB.
  22. I remember Brown being super skeptical of Allen during the draft process, and he took McDermott at face value when he said they're looking for a QB with accuracy and eliminated his belief that we'd actually pick Allen. And then we did... Accuracy can be refined, but it can't be taught. Generally speaking inaccurate college passers don't become accurate passers once they get to the NFL and the throwing windows become smaller because defenders are so much better.
  23. Nope. Bills offense is struggling badly. It's a revenge game for Fitz. Miami has played well for 5 straight games. I think Brian Flores might be a better coach than McDermott.
  24. Our defense is elite (3rd in points per drive, 3rd in yards per drive, 3rd in drive success rate ie drives that don't allow a 1st down) Our offense is bad (22nd in yards per drive, 23rd in points per drive, 19th in drive success rate) That's what all those numbers show.
