I don’t think it’s a good position. You need to evaluate Darnold and move on (I think). If you miss on that decision you’re already half way out the door. Compare that to the Chargers job.

If you can get an offensive mind as good as Dabs you pair that with Herbert and that is as good a chance as any for success.

Has Taylor looked better? I know his stats improved but he didn’t look that explosive early in the year. Their 3rd down back looked better. Keep them in check, let Phillip implode.

If they play today and no one gets hurt then they lose next week, why didn’t he rest his staters they would have won!! Week 17 can be a tough spot for a playoff coach.

I want them to play. You aren’t making a good case though. Sure, someone can get hurt on the first play next week. That can happen regardless of what the Bills do today. If the starters don’t play today they can’t get hurt today. That’s what some folks want. I understand it. It has to be one of the tougher calls as a coach.
